I think the normal price for Spelunky is $14.99. It's on sale now for $5.99 without Gold and $4.94 with Gold.

It seems like that is the case. This isn't necessarily a bad thing since sales used to be Gold only so this way even if you're not a Gold member you can still get in on the sales.

OT: Looks like I'll get Banjo Kazooie and maybe Zombie Drive HD? I will probably pass on SO SP since I don't even own the game yet.

Great game, one of the best in the series. You can make a case for it being the best AC game. It also gives you a great pirate vibe especially since you're interested after watching Black Sails it would be perfect. I and a lot of others in here can highly recommend that game.

Finally. Been wanting to play TR forever but missed the last 2 sales. Now I can finally enjoy it. (been all digital on xbone since my kids are monsters....haven't seen my Mario kart 8 disc since the night I bought it)

Three different sales in play on the 360. The 360 DwG sale just appears to be the AC games, Hitman, Murdered and Zombie Driver, since those are the ones that only have Gold discounts. NBA 2K15 stuff is open to all, probably will be marked as a spotlight sale. The rest have both Gold and Silver discounts, like the Ultimate Game Sale last month. Probably another spotlight, but we'll have to see how the marketplace / Major Nelson describe that mishmash of games.

Thoughts on Murdered: Soul Suspect??

Looking at the rest of the xbldb list, quite a lot of good stuff on sale this week:

Even if you missed out when it was free, get Battleblock Theater. I think every person who owns an Xbox should own this game. Go add to your cart and checkout. Woosh, woosh, woosh.

Gears of War 2 - Best in the series IMO. It's an action title yet there are many times where it plays like a puzzle game. Sometimes aim and shoot doesn't always work and you have to know when and where to strike correctly. I'm always down for multiplayer action with this game more than any other (in this series or any game for that matter).

The two Toy Soldiers are fun tower defense strategy  games that allow you to attack in real time. I tend to get tired of games like C&C where you set your soldiers to attack and merely watch an animation doing all of the work. I'd watch perform the action than watch a simulation. Too bad the DLC isn't on sale as well. I still need to get it for Cold War.

Fez has a charm I can't describe. Kind of like Fallout 3 where I'll get frustrated trying to find a way to advance, but when I do it's very satisfying.

That gets on my nerves too. Gamers nowadays are spoiled.

:sits in rocking chair: Back in my day, we had games that took 30 minutes to beat. Games like Ninja Gaiden and Super Mario Bros. and that was all we needed for a good time. As far as I'm concerned, any game over 2 hours should not be called "short".

 
As much as I want to play Ori, it's such a high-profile downloadable title for XB1 that I can see it being one that goes on sale a zillion times in the future, and probably even GwG at some far-off point. If it was $10 on release I'd snatch it up immediately, but at twice that price I can wait.

Plus, some part of me doesn't want to support the idea that $20 is now an acceptable price for a relatively short and simple "arcade" title.

 
Didn't even realize Heists received a release date. Still nothing on 360. It'll probably have a free DLC update like normal but I'm not seeing it with search or anything.

My suggestion: Just go buy a digital copy for $5 from one of the dozen people selling their Unity / Black Flag bundle codes on the CAG: Xbox trading forum here. Buyer's market, at this point. Great game.

It tells you, right on the online game loading screens, that Heists are going to be available on March 11th. At least that what it showed on my ps3 version when I loaded it up earlier.

on the xbone dashboard it says that heists have arrived, haven't booted the game up to check yet. Will prob check it out later on today.

I HATE the Rockets in Live Ultimate Team. I cannot beat them in the featured challenges and they're been in a bunch of them every week since that $9 sale. So sick of playing them and losing for a variety of dumb reasons. :wall:

I do, my whole team is built around defense! It's the same thing that always seemed to happen in Madden UT where I could have everything going my way in the featured challenges and be up big but then in the 4th quarter it inexplicably swings the other way. Happens sometimes against the other teams in the challenges but it seems like it's every time with the Rockets where it takes me four or five attempts (at minimum to beat them). Couldn't even pull it off for the lunar new year challenge and I played them eight times that week I think.

One of those I actually was down like 12 in the 4th quarter and came back with a last second steal on an inbound to send it to OT only to miss the go shot to go up 4 in OT and have Harden hit from nearly half court at the buzzer.

I'm not sure how Live is but I'm going to assume that you can do this. I had the same problem when playing on 2K My Team. I had to win best of 5 series challenge against all-lefty team. They didn't miss shit, its on like the second or highest difficulty. Anyways Chris Mullin was destroying me and seeing how everybody was a 90+ overall, keying in on one guy didn't seem like a good idea but it worked.

I made sure my highest rated on ball defender was on CM at all times. Chose Deny ball and go under screen and it completely took him out of the game. Now all I had to do was double David Robinson in the post with point guard every time he touches. Bill Russell and Lenny Wilkens are non factors. Funny enough Harden was on that team too. I played him 1v1 almost the whole game and he pretty much shot them out of the game (still put like 24ppg on me but it was on like 30+ shots) every time with setup I had. Once I figured out a good strategy, I was able to win the last 3 games to win the series. At the time my team wasn't nearly as good as it is now. If I played them with this squad, then they wouldn't have had a chance.

You can do something similar take Ariza out of the game, double Dwight down low in the post with the PG every time he gets the ball. Now just guard Harden the whole game even when he's off ball, just stay with him. You could also switch and try to take Harden out and just stick with Ariza. Now let Pat and D-Mo try to beat you and the bench try to beat you.

Damn, I really want Ori now. I've got bills mounting and a smaller than anticipated tax refund. I shouldn't have read some of the reviews.

Must come up with a way to mask the purchase from my wife...Sad that buying a game is a game in itself. :(

I am waiting to hear a little bit more about how well the Pre-sequel remastering went. The few previews I read said BL2 is great but the Pre-sequel is only a mediocre improvement. Since I have played BL2 to death I am really only interested in the Pre-sequel. Might be waiting again.

Yeah, I'm in no hurry to play it either. It's something I'll pick up when it's on sale for around $20. I am pumped for dark souls 2 though. But $60 for a game I've already played to death may mean I'm gonna wait a while for that one too.
