Allow me to give the opinion of someone who does play a lot of racing games. While both the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series use the word Forza, they are very different games once you get past that. The motorsport series is much more of a sim series though there are always enough gameplay options to make it quite playable for any level of gamer. The horizon series is more open world playground style with cars loosely based on their real world performance. You are way off the mark if you see FM6 as a sequel or upgrade of Horizon 2. Everything I read states that FM5 was rushed enough to make the xb1 launch that many features were left out so FM6 will be the first fully realized current gen sim racer in the series. Think of FM5 as the Ground Zeroes to FM6's Phantom Pain. The developers say career mode will take about 70 hours to complete and there are a ridiculous number of changes and upgrades to online play as well. If you have any interest in a realistic racer I believe all signs point to Forza Motorsport 6 being among the best games if not the best game ever created in the genre.

100% spot on. FM is the sim-based side of the series while FH is the action racing side. I consider FM a fun-sim as opposed to a more unforgiving sim like Project Cars, but as you said you can adjust the level of sim with game play options.

Toy Solder's War Chest is going to be both digital and retail disc. The retail disc is being called the 'Hall of Fame Edition' - I assume the digital version will follow suit.

Probably the first time in like 15 years. The default rules options (auto assigned territories, and being able to fortify any of your territory, rather than just adjacent lands) would probably speed up the game, but we played the rules as close to the board game as possible

Yeah, my gt is wampler13. I just tint some aluminum red for the designs. It gets me $100k-200k a week in in game currency to play with. I know the designs aren't great, but people seem to like them. I actually had a Turn 10 employee send me an insulting message about them once. But I'll still buy fm6 day one and paint more cars red.

Figured that was you. I just added the season passes and am in the process of "buying" all the free cars and I've noticed your paints showing up a pretty good amount of time in that featured grouping under popular. It may be a simplistic design, but it looks sharp and I put it on a few cars. I'm surprised about that message tho, I see people with just one plain color show up there, at least you created a color mix and it looks sharp. I hear the auction house/storefront still aren't returning, but I hope there is a better way to find paints for a car or the ability to search friends in an easier way.

 
So I just got my first VIP star in xboxrewards. Before I got my first star, it would say things such as "$50 till your star", then "$20 till your first star" and so on. Now that I got the star, it say I'm 38% complete to getting my second star. Is there anyway to get it to switch back to showing how much more money I need to spend? If not, does anyone know how much you have to spend to get the second star?

While we're on the subject, how does one request early deposit? I'm looking at myrewards, I see I have about $20 coming my way, and also see that I can request early deposit. I have never been able to find the button or whatever to click to actually request an early deposit. I always chalked it up to being on the mobile site but even on my laptop I don't see anything.

They'll only do an early deposit if you have less than $5. There's a small button beneath the bar showing your points until you hit $5 worth then it disappears.

Hey Darby, just curious but where did you get your code from? I bought mine directly from the Microsoft Store using one of the $10 off Golden Crisp coupons and it extended my subscription a year from my original sign up date. Shows 5/4/17 on my account on the website.

It is, but the only way I would have bought it was if they designed a special DLC mission based on the ACE chemicals scene from Batman '89. Driving around in the abomination known as the Rocksteady Batmobile is not something I'm looking forward to again.

I don't understand the hate for the new Batmobile. That thing is fuckin awesome and makes sense for the game. Also, seeing as they already did an origin for Joker in Origins, its kinda hard to fo the Ace scene from 89. Then again, Joker DID SAY if you're gonna have an origin story, make it multiple choice.

I like the DLC, only problem is it can't be used in free roam.

I seem to have encountered a really weird glitch in Skyrim (what a surprise). I had to start a new file since my last one got deleted accidentally, and now Lydia appears to be glitched. Right after she is assigned to me, everytime I ask her to follow, she says I already have a follower, but I don't. I've fast-travelled to different towns, waited hours and yet no follower shows up and Lydia says the same thing. Is there a way to fix this without having to restart the damn game?

It's clunky. It has horrible controls. It's pretty much the centerpiece of the entire game which was too big of a focus shift from the feel of the first two.
I hate the batmobile and how much the game relies on it
 
my skyrim file was glitched after 100 hours to where it froze about a minute after loading no matter what I did, tried clearing cache deleting save files and what not, still never finished skyrim, waiting till backwards compat

Sometimes two people just aren't compatible with one another. That's life. Try to move on and you're sure to find somebody new.

I had something similar and I think it was due to the enormous number of items I was carrying around. Unloaded my inventory and was able to keep playing.

I'd be very much into this if the settings will allow me to better recreate the feeling of the x360 controller. I don't know if it's the sensitivity, acceleration, or travel of the X1 sticks, but the difference is very noticeable to me and I haven't got used to it like I thought I would.

And if you supposedly like the genre but refuse to play either game because of artistic style you probably cut your nose off long ago in spite.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre, I enjoy it, but not enough to dump a hundred hours into any ol' dungeon crawler just because the mechanics meet a certain criteria, c'mon that's crazy talk now, NOBODY should be that desperate to play a game regardless of what it looks like.

If they made a metroidvania with stick figures, I probably wouldn't play it. I need atmosphere, I need a story that's engaging, aesthetics all play their part.
 
I had one of my all-time favorite gaming moments last night. I just picked up Forza Horizon 2 and have been playing it pretty heavily. I did the bucket list challenge with the Ferrari 250 and the classical music came on. It was flipping awesome. 

 
preordering Super Mega Baseball for sure, and considering a digital purchase of Toy Soldiers, although I could see that ending up a gwg, or on a deep discount in the future
