Bad Company 1 is probably low to dead by now, although the price is worth it for the single player alone!

As for Bad Company 2, the population should be at a decent rate considering this was a GwG game.

Anyway to not put a CC on file with XBox store but grab the GwG. Wanted to start grabbing the free monthly 360 games b4 but had this issue. Never planned on ever getting a 360 so i moved on. Now I would like to do it for when the BC library starts to expand for everyone but the store keeps asking for a payment method even though the games are free what a joke.

I have credit cards and such but they are not getting them on file.

Besides PayPal, you can use a MasterCard or Visa gift card. You may need to register it for online purchases. You can also check if your credit card issuer offers the creation of temporary virtual card numbers tied to your main account. For my account (Bank of America calls it ShopSafe), I created a virtual card with a limit of $5 back in December, and it expires this coming December. Tied that to my XBL account and can buy GwG and other freebies through the web, and could re-up my Gold sub as well. Microsoft won't let you redeem a Gold sub card without an attached method of payment while a sub is still active.

Also, underneath your posts is a "Hide" button to make your duplicate posts disappear. Might not be there on the mobile side.

Awesome ill probably do the gift card but Ill check with my bank tomorrow to look into that virtual card, Sounds like its perfect for this exact problem.

Also thanks for the Hide button info you were right its not on mobile. I'm like I could have sworn there was a way to get rid of double posts lol.

 
Using an empty Visa GC worked to get the games through the website but then they started taxing me. So I took that if and went back to getting them through the website.

I wonder how deep this backwards compatibility is gonna go. We know digital games bought on the 360 will work on Xbox One. I wonder if the reverse will be possible in buying 360 games on the One and then being able to download that purchased game on the 360 too. So essentially, I wonder if we're gonna be getting 2 copies of the game we own, one workable on Xbone and the other on 360.

This means we could exploit this to swap our physical disc for a digital copy on 360. This could be a life saver for people with cracked or scratched disc that don't work or freeze on the 360.

They're not going to sell Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. At least not from what they're saying to Preview Members.

yes they're i believe i saw that. i am apart of the preview promgramme and they said if you buy xbox 360 games on "xbox.com" it will be avalible to play when the full release of the backwards compaitiblity it will work! i believe thats what i read

I hope they let us download our 360 dlc for the games by the time they release BC for everybody. I need the dlc for a lot of the games they will make BC.

Just an FYI there is currently a loophole where you can download 360 games without the Beta. You have to have a friend who is in it and has played one of the BC games. Go to that popular with friends section on the dash and go through the games until you see a 360 game, click on it and it will have an option to "View In Store". If you own it you can install it.

I did it and installed Mass Effect, Geometry Wars and Banjo Tooie. None of my friends have played any of the other games yet.

If you own those 3 and want to download them you can just add me on XBone GT is Stevo cbk24. I launched each of them so they will show up in popular with friends.

I just need to find people who have played the other games lol

This goes for everyone lol

If they can emulate the 360, shouldn't they be able to emulate the original Xbox within that for backwards compatibility for it? Makes sense to me...

puts a smile on my face whenever some mentions this game. It so damn great yet was so underrated. I'm so happy that mass effect 3 had that promo to play the demo and get in game content. If it wasn't for, I probably would of never bothered with it.

I hope to see a sequel some day even though the studio closed down :/

Still a little risky. If you aren't in dashboard preview, you won't have the most up to date console update.

I read a comparison of Mass Effect on 360 vs. X1. I was surprised that the game ran significantly better on X1. Better frame rate, less pop ins, shorter loading, shorter cutscenes (because they run smoother), etc.

Of course not all games will show an improvement, but it is making me hopeful for the future. EDF 2025 without frames dropping to a crawl would be amazing.
 
ME 1 elevator rides are so much better on the XBone. I've played it for quite a bit and it is awesome. Who needs a rerelease when the game runs so well like this.
 
I think they've closed the 360 non-preview loophole, as I've added folks who've definitely played 360 games on the One in the preview and it doesn't show those games. Ah well.

I'm still skeptical they're doing this fully through emulation because of the hardware involved. I suspect they've recompiled the 360 OS to x86 to run on the XB1, and are doing something similar with the games. Perhaps some sort of binary to binary recompilation that wouldn't require the original source code, which is a port vs. emulation, and is something that would require the original dev / publisher to sign off on it.

I wonder how they'd respond to imports. I searched for a few region free bullet hell shooters on the voting site, but none of them turned up.

Man, if only the region free stuff in the Xbox One happened on the 360. Then we'd have far more wonderful imports than just Puyo Puyo Tetris to chomp down on.

I like the idea, but there were two distinct problems with emulation of the original Xbox on the Xbox 360:

[1] The emulation quality was lacking. The experience was better playing on the original Xbox versus the Xbox 360. That largely defeats the purpose of playing the game on the 360 in the first place; the trade-off of easy console accessibility versus frame rate drops and graphical glitches.

[2] The number of original Xbox titles on Xbox 360 was not as large as one would hope. Have five games you'd like to play on the 360? If five of them are rare, odds are one or two titles won't work.

I'd love it if Microsoft took the time to make original titles work natively on the Xbox One, though. KotOR, Rollercoaster Tycoon, etc....Yup, I'd be happy.

Yep, I only have a handful of games. I think I still have KotOR 1 and 2, Shenmue 2, Jade Empire, Jet Set Radio Future, and that's probably it. I might would pick up a few used ones if they implemented it, or even better yet they could sell digital copies on the XB1.

 
Anyone try Quantum Rush Champions? Been dying for a Wipeout style racer. Seems to have gotten pretty mediocre reviews on PC though.
