I'm sure they will be available shortly after but not likely within a week, but we can hope. I currently have a pre-order at the Microsoft store but may cancel altogether and wait on a dl code or may cancel and go with BB to save on the up front cost. Not sure I can't wait on this one.

Also need good hard drive suggestions. 3-4tb is what I'm thinking.

Edit. The WD passport is the one people usually recommend right?

Double edit. If I'm already using a 1tb external will I be able to transfer the games that are downloaded onto the 1Tb on the new, bigger external, or will I have to re-download the games?

I doubt it, the bundle codes don't seem to be resold that much for xbox one. I keep an eye out for digital Halo MCC since I'd like to rebuy a digital copy but never see it on sites like boxeddeals or gamedealdaily and even on ebay you don't see many digital halo MCC listings for under $30. I have no clue why, there are tons and tons of TLOU digital for $10 or less (PS4 bundle extract) but I never see codes for the xbox one bundled games.

I was referring more to the trading forum on here than on boxeddeals or gdd. I've seen MQC codes on here for $20-25

I've had no issue with my 2tb passport and a lot of people do prefer WD's passports. I think you can have two externals connected at the same time so I would think you could simply copy everything over. Unless I'm mistaken.

Not sure why MCC holds its value so much while ACU and ACBF codes are so cheap.

 
First game I decided to go through on my 360 with my new HDD is Assassin's Creed III since I've had it for a few years and got all the DLC. I Have made a huge mistake...

Yep..PS+ is still worth it, but a couple years ago it was GOAT status with the AAA stuff they threw out. Now it's like hey..I know what you guys want. We've been listening and I promise we've got more indies coming than you can shake a stick at. The occasional AAA title for PS3 must go in, we're sorry, and the handheld we made a few years ago (what was it called again?) will get a AAA title once a year, but don't worry...those indies are gonna keep coming.

Is Geometry Wars 3 worth the $7.50 at 50% off? I played the first and loved the bright colors, but I could hardly last a few minutes. The difficulty didn't bother me really. It was an entertaining game. So, would GW3 be worth my hard earned cash?

 
Do you have any PlayStation systems or interest in getting one? What you could do to save money in the long run is get a PSTV from Amazon or Gamestop for $30-40. Get a PlayStation Plus subscription for $40-50 a year because Geometry Wars 3 is one of the free games this month. So with your PS+ sub, you'll get two games for every PlayStation system each month, but obviously, you'll have to pay more upfront, and ideally you should have more than one system to get the most value.

Looks like AC Chronicles is getting a disc release after the other volumes are out. Probably will be $30, which is crazy considering China is $5 this week.

I thought the demo was fun enough years ago to buy both recently when they went on sale. Kind of like interactive tower defense where you can take control of the soldiers.

Yea it is. There's a "story" mode, playing through different stages. The levels aren't flat 2D anymore, though they do exist, most are spherical or other variations to give it a 3D feel. There's more weapons for the ships to be able to use. If you're on 360, download the trial; otherwise, watch YouTube videos to decide.


Anyone know if we will be getting any weekend sales?

Welp first of, do you like Tower Defense games? Because that's basically the genre of this game. As for myself I had quite some fun with the former games and their DLCs =)

 
If anyone is looking at picking up Funk of Titans, don't bother. Played through the game yesterday and it's pretty rough. The whole game is monotonous, the boss battles are nothing but button sequences, and I turned the sound off after the first hour. It's good for a easy and fairly quick 1k at around 6-8 hours, but unless you're picking it up for the gamerscore, I'd pass on it.

Really wish I could get excited for this game. Between this, GI Joe, and He-man, but tower defense / strategy games don't tend to do it for me. On a side note, saw the cards and my first thought was "are those magic cards?". :p

I have both and I enjoyed them. The first one was a novel concept, although with generic soldiers. The second one really shone, with newer vehicles, more units, different locales, killstreaks, etc. it's essentially a hybrid of RTS & TPS. They are very enjoyable to play.

I thought about picking it up but it really just came off as looking like a cheap mobile game ported to consoles to make a quick buck. Couldn't even pull the trigger just for achievements.

GW3 has a ton of content and a large variety of modes that makes it a must own if you liked either of the first two games. The drones offers some extra help for those that need it and the game overall has a nice difficulty curve to ease you in before it gets really hard. It even has most of the classic modes from the first two games.

It is cheaply made, no doubt about that. Heck, even the art style made my eyes bleed a little bit (at least for that Hercules fan boy character).

While runner games are probably a better fit on mobile devices, there are some good console ones. The Bit Trip Runner series comes to mind and while I haven't played it, Infinity Runner on the X1 looks decent as well.

Maybe the disc release includes China along with the other two (India and Russia) that are coming out later this year.
