Do you mean the Long Hauler ribbon for clearing all 50 waves of Horde in one session, or one of the Horde achievements? For the achievements, you should just need to clear waves 48-50 to pop it.

In addition to the other things going on this weekend, Gears Ultimate has double XP in multiplayer. But first I need to take down Raam ...

 
Double XP weekend and I can't take advantage until I clear Insane mode with my cousin first. I'm weird, I like to do every single campaign-related thing before moving on to MP.

What map were you playing? When I get the series digitally I would help you with it if you still need it. Plus if you use a team in Private you can pick the level, so you could use one that might be easier to get through. But like Bloomy said, just like with Gears of War 2, you should be able to play it in Private and finish the final 3 waves of that map anytime. I played once from wave 27 to 50 with a random (the other 3 players quit), but we just couldn't beat the last wave. I finally ended it since I was host, but messaged him about joining me in private and inviting friends if he had any and that worked for unlocking it for him (I already had it).

3 really needed the join-in progress feature that 2 had for Social Horde.

There's an achievement for beating him on Insane in Cooperative without going DBNO. I should be buying a 3 month subscription to Live this upcoming week from Best Buy, so I could help you if you need it.

If anyone likes the Xbox Challenges feature there's one just for starting Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, and another for finishing the normal and hard missions. I'm not sure if they reward you with anything like World of Tanks had previously done with artwork. Ground Zeroes was just given away as a Games with Gold title, so many of you should be able to access it.

 
I can't seem to be able to do goat simulator for the 360 off the website. I'll have to check on the system when I get home. Don't know if I'll really have time to play it today so hopefully the 360 version is ours to keep.
 
I noticed this morning that Caladrius was released on the 360 Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday. Can anyone recommend this game? All I know is that it's a shmup developed by Moss, the maker of Raiden IV.

Thanks for the offer, but I was doing a solo Insane run ... and I just got the bastard. I didn't want to resort to using the known box glitch from the 360 version that apparently still works (never used it to beat him Insane solo then, either), but he ended up getting stuck on a downed Dom. I had managed to soften him up a bit before he got stuck, so it wasn't a 100% cheap win, and it balances out with the hours of cheap deaths I endured before it. It was close because if the final shot hadn't finished him, I would've needed to get him unstuck since I was out of Torque ammo and frags to clear the Kryll.

Something I don't quite get about that co-op achievement - you can't go DBNO on Insane. So either that DBNO requirement isn't necessary, or it allows a co-op partner to beat Raam using a lower difficulty, which cheapens the achievement.

you CAN go DBNO on Insane. My cousin and I are running co-op on Insane and we were both surprised. I know in Gears 2/3/Judgement if you go down on Insane, thats it, reload checkpoint. But you can be revived in Gears 1.

I think they added that with the UE to make it a little easier.

Quick question, can I install games from a disc onto a USB drive and does it affect performance?

 
yes you can install games from disc to usb (i do) and no usb drives are just as fast as the internal drive

when you attach a usb drive you can tell the xbox one whether to install new games to internal or usb.  You can also configure the xbox one to download new games to internal or external, and whether to sleep the usb drive when the system is off.

I had to do circle rolls around the first block you take cover behind while peeking out of cover to get Raam to launch his Kryll, blindfiring the Lancer until I was almost out. I should've saved the replay. At least your Dom experience actually did something productive.

Clearly in early production they jokingly called him Dumb AI, but prior to release just changed it to Dom.

As for the end, the Reavers shooting at you can down you, so that might be part of it. Kryll and Raam's Troika should rip both players apart. Did they allow varying difficulties for this version in cooperative?

Quasi-double XP this weekend should prompt a CAG team to dominate online. Just remember that only Competitve kills count for Seriously, not Social.

That must be coop only, or final boss only. I'm playing through insane solo and I die instantly.

 
Trying to finish goat simulator today but god damn that flappy goat achievement is effing hard...mainly because the input lag and latency (screen jumps all the time) seriously if this wwas anywhere near the real flappy bird I would have beaten it within 3 tries...but this is...ridicoulus...trying for 2 hours couldn't make it any further than 6...

I spent 4 hours straight going for that achievement. I finally got it and then questioned my sanity afterwards.

Feel free to add me "dennisb407", Im always willing to help a fellow CAG out with an achievement if possible. We were on the map where the turrets over look the street and the horde had to come up the steps to get you. Every 10th round is the boss battle. They gave us an armored bezerker on round 10...da fuq. Took like 20 minutes to get him down

I also threw in Gears 2 last night, tried for a TDM or KOTH, but couldn't find any mp games. I hope that changes when it goes bc on the X1

 
Rented Mad Max and gotta say I agree with the more positive reviews of the game from the few hours I've played. Does a fantastic job of recreating the Mad Max world, especially from the earlier films.

Now to decide whether to pick up my Best Buy preorder for $37.50 or wait knowing that we have Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5 and Battlefront (all must buys for me) just around the corner.

Something tells me that Mad Max will drop quick and probably be a Black Friday deal. Still, the mixed reviews had me going in with low expectations only to be quite impressed.
 
It'll probably drop quick, considering it was possible to get it for like 20 on the pc before it even came out. I honestly think people had no faith in it.
 
Wasn't going to buy Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions for 360 because $14.99 seemed pretty expensive but then I noticed that a pre-owned disc copy goes for $39.99 at GameStop. I like Spider-Man and, from what I can tell, this is the last good video game interpretation of the non-movie version of the character.

I gave up with that achievement. I gave it to my little brother and he got it in 4 tries. I guess I'm not that good at flappy goat.

Finally got it around 4 hours...it's not even skill based more like luck, if the minigame actually gets your input, and the screen doesn't jump at the wrong moment...also the hitbox of the goat was way too big, often got the score for one obstacle but still was hit by it lol.

Anyway finished goat simulator today, feels good now. still wondering if we can keep the game =O

I just started playing it yesterday and I really like it. Its very linear so you don't have to worry about getting lost in a giant open world. For a game made in 2010 I think it looks good, the Borderlands-style art direction really holds up. The achievements aren't too bad though there are a few that require you to play the game on Hard and get a Platinum ranking in three different categories but nothing a little skill can't handle.

Web Of Shadows > Shattered Dimensions >> fried shit smothered in BBQ sauce >>>>>>> Friend Or Foe

I hope it is free to own but under the "Details" heading it says "Free play day, presented by Skittles..."

Thanks for the reminder about the X1 being only today. Busted out 29/30 of the achievements in about 4 hours using a guide. Tried the Flappy Goat one a few time and decided it was not worth the trouble to complete the game. I have it on the 360 also so I will double dip at some point. The "game" itself was mildly amusing.

My daughters love Goat Simulator, it's perfect for little kids both because of the silly humor and because it has no real goals or right/wrong way to play. But yeah Flappy Goat can get bent.
