This is what I was thinking. It's a great deal for people who prefer physical but I do not. Any game I'm gonna pre-order and buy new is more than likely gonna be a game I want digitally. I don't pay $50+ for games I know I'm gonna trade in. If the deal applied to download codes, I'd be all over it.

This is awful tempting. I wish I felt like I would play it anytime soon but I know I won't (haven't touched a console game in weeks) and I can't decide if this will be one that even a year or two from now will kind of bottom out at about this point.

Have you ever actually shopped there? Every new game I've bought from them has been sealed, and even the occasional used game has also been sealed (converted from new).

I know that the GS employees get to try out games for themselves, but don't act like everything they sell is opened and has been rubbed on their junk.

 
With GCU I rarely buy new games from GS.  The only time I do is exclusives. (like NASCAR 15)

The way I interpret the article is that they just won't take the prepackaged bundles from MS.  They will take the console by itself and package in a physical game.  If they were opening the bundles to remove the download card, I would fully expect a class action lawsuit against them for fraud because they would be selling used consoles as new. (the fact nobody has tried it over gutted games is slightly amazing)

This is very store dependent. I have stores in my area where everything is sealed as you describe. I have other stores that gut all of their games. I definitely steer clear of the latter. Perhaps it is GM dependent, not sure.

You haven't bought stuff from my store. It does in fact look like they rub their junk on it. I used to shop there all the time until I realized that they have shitty practices and horrible customer service. A brand new game at Walmart is the exact same thing as a brand new game at GameStop. Why contuine to give a company with such shitty customer service and practices my hard earned money. Wanna know the best way to get them to stop treating their customers like shit? Stop being a customer. Like I said any other company that pulled the stuff they do wouldn't be in business any longer. They feel they can do whatever they want. For some reason people look past all the stuff they pull and contuine to shop there.

I use GameStop for cheap Skylanders figures, penny guides and $2 tshirts and $5 Kongregate coupons on Pop figures. I couldn't tell you the last time I bought a game there.

With Cartwheel and some of the Amazon flips and the Golden Crisp coupons, I got my XBL credit at a low enough cost to get the rest of the games I want this year digitally. I VASTLY prefer digital games.

I mostly use GCU for the occasional sale game that I wasn't willing to pay $48 for at launch. All 4 years of GCU I have cost me less than nothing, so it's value only has the be above free, which it already is...

I played the tutorial for Gigantic and then it took 7 minutes to get into a match and then froze. The entire time playing the tutorial I was miserable and had zero interest in it. The animation is clunky as all hell and the audio sounds like it was all recorded in one day in some dude's garage. I doubt I will even bother trying the game ever again.

 
I can't even get Gigantic to work. Every time I launch it I get a message that says "Login Failed".I tried for 2 weeks and gave up and deleted the game.

Bought a disc copy of Rare Replay from Best Buy online this morning and I was wondering about the mandatory install. I remember reading that it's 40 gb. My question is if you can delete specific games off after the initial install to save space on your hard drive. I probably won't play Perfect Dark Zero because, well, it's Perfect Dark Zero.

As for Gunworld...will have to see how the two 34 point achievements pan out before grabbing it. $1.99 is tempting, but I don't want to be stuck with an uneven score right before hitting 300k.

 
Pretty excited for the NBA Live demo. You would think EA could make a decent game this Gen and the fact they are willing to put a demo out early gives me hope for the first decent game since Live 10.

Been playing forza 6 on and off for 2 days, finally have to admit I just don't like the game that much.  Its a great game, but I way prefer the forza horizon 2 open world style of racing to track racing.  Rio is gorgeous though.

Some of the top gear guys make some voice overs, Richard Hammond introduced one of the racing styles but I don't think it has all the top gear guys together.

 
This week is all about Forza 6 and Pumped BMX+ for me. Plague Inc is an interesting concept - but I think I would get bored at the menu-centric management gameplay.

plague inc is quite menu-centric, but once the virus (or disease or plague or whatever you create) takes off, the game can become quite frantic and fun. It is easy to grasp but impossible to master. Very addicting in my opinion.
