It's a ton of fun actually. $5 is definitely worth it for the 1000 points and just for the experience. Too bad you couldn't have grabbed it for free though. After you're done with it you'll want to get Forza Horizon 2.

For physical copies of the game, there is a slip inside the case with a code to redeem. Only digital pre-orders would receive a message from Xbox Live with a code.

Ah, well, guess renting doesn't work. No biggie. I have a physical copy of it...just nice being lazy and not getting off the couch to stick the disk in.

And yes, I will buy Fallout 4 eventually.

I didn't do it but didn't the renting trick work with the Gears remaster and the BC titles? I remember reading something about just having to have played the game by a certain date.

Anyone know how you get the other gears of war games? I installed and played about 20 minutes of Xbox one gears of war ultimate and if I remember right you get the other games also but couldn't find anyplace to download them and no voucher inside the game case either

I would assume so, because Xbox Live remembers that you play the game and at some point in the future you should receive two messages from them, one with codes for the first two games and one with the second two games.

Also, the Xbox trade thread is LOUSY with people selling Gears/Fallout 3/Just Cause 2/RSV1&2 codes, so you have that option.

You should get them messaged to you via xbox live message sooner or later. I played the game for like 5 minutes a couple weeks ago and got my codes 2 days ago.

thanks. I got it on black friday but been busy with holiday and i just now remembered the offer expired 12/31 so in a week so figured i better pop it in now to make sure i got the games.

To be honest, I installed GoW Ultimate but never fired it up to play. I received the notification anyway with the download links.

I donto know of any xbl sale where games went cheaper later in the week. It's usually the opposite of it being low on accident and bring bumped up in price. Just grab them now if you want them.

Do you have Comcast? Their equipment and protocols are probably the most unfriendly to gamers. I had to get my modem/router combo replaced and had the same thing. The replacement always borked my personal router and had all my consoles in Strict NAT regardless of DMZ, along with the DHCP errors. I set my modem to bridge and opened up all the proper ports again through my router and all is perfect now

 
Did anyone else get an e-mail early today stating that you won a prize for being a long standing xbox rewards member?  It was themed after the Witcher 3 and at the bottom showed I will be getting a Forza 6 blue controller in 4-6 weeks.  I never win things like this so I'm skeptical but it looks very legit.

Dang, I have like $5 on an extra Silver account.  Since you could share Gold on your Xbox, I was hoping that Silver account is able to access Gold deals since I'm sharing my Gold with it.  I guess the only thing Gold I could share is the ability to play online.  I looked at the FAQ and it says this, "When you buy one Xbox Live Gold subscription, multiple people can enjoy the best benefits of Xbox Live Gold on your Xbox One at no additional charge.

I guess "the best benefits" is only one benefit and that's playing online.  I set the Home Xbox, set the Home Gold and even added the account to Family.  So the benefit is really just online right?  Maybe I did something wrong, or that's really it?

Huh, yeah got the same thing today when I went over to my local library and tried to hook onto their wifi. Figured their internet was down so checked some emails on my phone and then went home.

Hmm, I know their internet is Comcast as well.
