I walk into a coffee shop and think nothing of dropping 10 bucks on a mocha crappachino that I'll guzzle down in minutes, yet spending 2.49 on a game I'll get at least a couple hours of entertainment from is too much :rofl: sometimes us CAGs are silly people.

Can anybody confirm the L4D2 disc works on xbox one? You can't purchase this game from the X1 like other BC games and I'd like to go out and buy it.

Just a PSA to potential L4D2 buyers. The 360 version is great but if you have a PC that can run it that's definitely the one to get since they are the same price. For one the DLC is free there, plus it has more players and Steam Workshop support. 

The 360 DLC has gone on sale a few times but I think it's been a while. I do recall getting Cold Stream for $1 the last time they were on sale, but who knows with that would be.

I don't want to become the PC master race guy shitting up this thread, we just happened to have two games that are leagues better on PC come up. If you already own L4D2 360 and it's DLC like I do this is still great.

I enjoyed both games. Raw was kinda grindy at the end but I actually played Mars through a second time. I'll be buying that one since it's on the "oman" console

The Sacrifice also contains the No Mercy campaign from the original L4D. No Mercy is pretty much the entire first game, from the very beginning all the way to the hospital roof where the game ends. They just make it confusing as hell by not stating it outright. No Mercy is the entire first game's main campaign. The only thing you would need to complete the whole story from the first game is all the dlc from it.

I don't know why they call it "no mercy" and not just say "the whole damn game, basically". :)

You can buy it from the website (or from the :xb1: console), but the only way to use MS cash to buy it instead of an attached form of payment (PayPal or CC) is to buy it from the :360: console.

 
RE6 seems to run great and I look forward to trying all the content this time around, happy about L4D2 for sure! I'll probably grab the $2 So Many Me dlc, and for some reason I have an itch to play Evolve again, I really did enjoy it before and there are enough streams and the forums say that you can still find games, decisions, decisions.

I was excited to play l4d2 again but then I remembered this game is only fun with friends. The shit for brains online are remarkable, and I can't believe people still kick players as soon as they join!
 
I seem to recall Contrast and Mars: War Logs being good games so this week isn't a total loss.  

Odd that Transformers is on sale again.

Not a fan of getting RAW on Date Night. Also not a fan of getting WWE Raw on Date Night when Roman Reigns keeps showing up.

Ikaruga for the xbox 360, and its BC as well.  Game has great reviews and the demo is pretty fun.  I'm gonna purchase it and just thought I'd share because I'd never heard of the game before

It was pretty well known on the GC and when it was put on XBL and is regarded as one of the best in the genre.  Think it was in the initial batch of BC games as well.

I think that was one of those freebies from the foreign countries. Not Oman. I think it was Costa Rica or Argentina or something.

Now that I think about it, that probably is how I got that game and could explain why it does not show up in my BC "ready to install" section. Probably doesn't pick up those Oman or whatever country games.

It's one of my absolute favorites. That game is a rabbit hole if it hooks you. Its design is peerless. Treasure was in their prime when they developed it. If you are curious, look up some videos of expert level runs through it. There was a tool assisted run that was featured in an event recently. It was beautiful to watch.

Anyone notice a lot heat from your X1?  I don't think I normally find a lot of heat being given off but after playing Tomb Raider tonight it feels hotter than normal. Just my imagination?

In all seriousness, check your ventilation. Is your box in a shelf or something like that? Air flow might be blocked. You could also try compressed air to clean it out.

If you like 2D platformers at all, you have to try Outland (not to be confused with Outlast). It was already a PS+ game. For months, it would top the Top 10 PSN Downloads chart in PlayStation Magazine. The mechanics with the color shifting are the same as Ikaruga and it's just tight gameplay - for even more fun, you can play online co-op for the entire game. Co-op would be tough in a shmup like Ikaruga but it works splendidly in this platformer.
 
The Cold Darkness DLC is pretty weak. It's pretty much a 1 hour add-on that can be extended to 2+ if you choose to do all the challenges. Since its the last piece of dlc, Im gonna say it wsd a very underwhelming season pass overall.

It's hard to gauge that kind of stuff anyways, but Shivering Isles is big both in size and amount of content, like 20 - 30 hours. Though a reference routed in Fallout 3/New Vegas would probably be easier to work out. 3's biggest DLC was Point Lookout, with a fairly large map, new enemies, and weapons. 

Price might be a better scale though. Dragonborn was $20, and that added quite a bit. I never finished it but I know I had at least 15 hours in it and don't think I explored very much. If they think this is worth more than that I hope they're right.

 
The disc version of Minecraft Story Mode is glitched and won't install episode 5 correctly after it's downloaded. I'm about ready to punch Telltale in the throat. This is not the first time there's been problems with the disc not working correctly. Definitely the last time I buy the physical version of the TTG game.

 
Has anyone ever had an issue with pack in codes that should be good but just give a message of "something went wrong" every time you try them? Have two pack in codes from two copies of Arslan I bought of Gamefly and they both give the same result and I've tried them over multiple days now. Gotten that error a couple times before but it's always just been a system hiccup and it works the next time.

Who would actually give MS/Telltale their money prior to any of this content being given a release date ... especially without any discount. Give them your money months in advance in exchange for nothing??? Uh ... no.

To that end, same thing pissed me off with Michone. You had to buy the bundle ... no option to buy episodes individually (at least on Xbox) and there was no discount.
