Unfortunately i have zero content for Gears 4 in "manage game."

So im not sure what the issue is since if its on disc and i already have the game installed to console.

I'll recheck the ingame customization later to make sure the missing skins/characters are there.

People are on their site posting that Miyamoto quote about delayed games. I truly hate that quote, because people take it to mean "a delayed game will end up good". Just look at Mighty No. 9, No Man's Sky, Starfox Zero, etc. to know it isn't true.

This is a small developer that really needs to stick to a development plan and stop increasing scope. From demos, it did not to have technical issues. Part of the problem is half the crowd raises their expectations every delay (many because of that stupid quote), the other half let their attention drift elsewhere. Then when it comes out, no game could meet the expectations of the rabid fans, and the rest take the "maybe when it goes on sale" perspective. Then the rabid fans go overboard with their "disappointment", harming potential buyers. That's the danger of repeated delays, you basically have to come out with Ocarina of Time levels of quality, which few can meet.

Cuphead, from what I have seen, is going to be a tough as nails shooter, an Alien Soldier/Alien Hominid kind of game. That is going to drive a lot of people off. The graphic design is spectacular, but I fear the gameplay isn't going to have a bunch of fans. It will be a niche market, I'm one that loves those kinds of games so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm wondering if the delay is to make the game more casual friendly.

I can't confirm but it prob doesn't work for the trial if that's the only option you have.

Update - confirmed, I took my game disc out and it only gave me the option to purchase.

I agree. Cuphead is like a shmup with boss fights - not a platformer. A lot of people (including myself) thought this was like a Mega Man game when it was revealed back in 2014.

I bought it because it's only $1.63 in Canada for some reason. Not that big of a basketball fan so the rosters aren't an issue for me.

EDIT: not that I'm complaining, but does anyone know why purchases didn't get taxed? Usually (in Canada) I get charged the regular 5% tax but I just noticed that for my recent purchases (Boom Boom Rocket and NBA jam) I didn't get taxed. Did it change for anyone else?

I've been waiting for the price to drop for awhile. I loved the first game. I've played a little of the second game when I rented it once. I loved it. The CAG in mean can't pull the trigger. Although you do get a bunch of stuff in the 20 year bundle. Hmmmm....

The vanilla disc version has been on sale for $20 a few times. Are the extras/add-ons worth it?

Thanks! I tested it out myself and I got the same thing. I was hoping the trial would work. Sucks. Usually the trials have all the same options as the full game, but they are just timed. I guess that's not the case with this. :(

They did for a while, but it's been out for years now and I don't remember the last time I saw an update. Seems like the last time I saw it was when Jeremy Lin came out of nowhere and so they made sure he was on the Knicks.

It's kinda' minor though. Unlocking the Legends and other random fun stuff is where it's at. Once you get Magic Johnson for the Lakers, Bird for the Celts, Shaq on the Magic (holy crap Shaq and Dwight Howard together blocking everything), and a few others unlocked you really won't ever want to play much with anyone else because that last tier of single player games is HARD and you need every advantage you can get.

 
Let's hope they put in an auto "Party Mode" ala what you had with DJ Hero because everything in the game looks to kill you, yet man is it with such style, and all I want to do is watch.

Did you enjoy the beta? If so, then get Titanfall 2. If not, wait for CoD4 remastered to be sold separately. (Yeah, I know you need the IW disc/game to play it now, but I guarantee they will sell it separately eventually.)

I hadn't seen any images of it until that. Holy crap. That looks compelling.
 
Be careful with nba jam. You may lose all your saves. I enjoyed the game a lot. Went to fire it up a few weeks ago. Freezes at the load screen everytime. Word is the only way to fix this is to delete your game saves and wipe everything. All those hours of grinding for unlocks gone...

Agree on the Gears 4 campaign. Just finished. I wanna go back and play it again, that's how much I loved it.

Splash Damage co-developed the multi in Gears 4. They are the ones who did the Remastered Gears 1 Ultimate edition. Which explains alot, cause they fucking screwed the multiplayer on that remaster IMO.....It's still barely been out, they'll tweak and fine tune it.

The Coalition did a superb job making the GoW4 campaign. To me, it fits seamlessly into the Gears universe. Example of how not to do it right? 343 and Halo.

Well part of the issue is it was going to be ONLY boss fights, but then they added scrolling levels. And they look pretty repetitive. The forest one I saw had a few decent ideas, but it kept repeating over and over and over. I hope it isn't just filler before the awesome looking boss fights, the way old Contras managed to make the slog to the boss as interesting as the boss fight.

 
Gears 4 multi seems great to me, idk a lot of my friends are having a blast, also kind of funny to see how so many people here liked the campaign where other places don't, and how it's compared to Halo, I love the new Halo campaigns and so far Gears is the same, really enjoying it so far!

That's about right. I couldn't get into the second season for those exact two reasons. If I want an adventure in the Walking Dead world, I'd rather buy that Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game than watch Fear the Walking Dead because at least you get to hang out with Daryl in the game.

Can't wait til Survival Instinct gets a digital sale! (not really, but just to keep this somewhat XBL related)

Wut? I feel the opposite. But maybe because most of my opponents are stupid and don't grab the power weapons.

If anything I'm having a lot of issues with matches taking forever to load and what not.

Splash Damage co-developed the multi in Gears 4. They are the ones who did the Remastered Gears 1 Ultimate edition. Which explains alot, cause they fucking screwed the multiplayer on that remaster IMO.....It's still barely been out, they'll tweak and fine tune it.

The Coalition did a superb job making the GoW4 campaign. To me, it fits seamlessly into the Gears universe. Example of how not to do it right? 343 and Halo.

Yeah, the campaign is great! I play Gears more for the multiplayer so I played it several days after getting the game, but holy shit!!! Even at 30fps it looks, plays, is faster and 'feels' better than the MP (even if your playing offline). The sound is so much better as you can actually hear where shots are coming from and weapons like the shotgun sound better and louder.

Unless they do some Gears 2 level title updates, the MP is screwed. Besides it being bland, it has all the same problems as UE plus long load times and no rolling lobbies in Core/Competitive game modes.
