The Bioshock, Arkham and COD remasters don't interest me, but if EA comes out with good remasters of KOTOR 1 & 2, I'm in. I wouldn't even mind if they made them exclusive to EA Access. Throw in Burnout Revenge for good measure.

 
I don't care for remasters as long as they make the originals BC, like MS did with Gears of War.

If your remaster is good enough I will still buy it.

I'm not a fan. Controls are way to floaty for me. I'll give it another chance when I'm in the mood for a floaty, colorful, 3D space platformer/puzzle game.

I'm so terrible at WWE. I lost my second match in 8 seconds. My Career is going to fun though, if I can get past the tutorial.
 
Since Uno shit the bed and I skipped it, I tried Prominence Poker yesterday. Shockingly good for a free game. A much better follow-up to Full House Pro than whatever that other garbage poker game on X1 from a while back was.

They do let you buy "chips" for real money, but the main purpose of the chips is just to buy outfits for your character and stuff. I guess you can buy in on bigger multiplayer tables as well but I haven't touched multiplayer yet.

Anyway - the "Enforcer" level chips pack on the marketplace is currently glitched. I think it should be like 6 or 7 bucks but you can get it for 1 dollar right now. Here's the different levels of packs you can buy:

  • Wise Guy Bundle: $0.99 cents = 10,000 chips
  • Tough Guy Bundle: $2.99 = 27,500 chips
  • Enforcer Bundle: $0.99 cents = 65,000 chips
  • Made Bundle: $9.99 = 135,000 chips
  • Earner Bundle: $24.99 = 350,000 chips
  • Boss Bundle: $49.99 = 750,000 chips
  • Boss of all Bosses Bundle: $99.99 = 2,000,000 chips

I don't mean to nitpick on an individual team within Microsoft, but this week's sale on Xbox underscores that their Product Management's heads are up each others' butts for the "smell of it" ... hear me out.

First of all, it's been publicly-outed/known that Xbox management has a significant voice (over publishers) when it comes to Marketplace pricing, even overriding the preference of devs/pubs to offer low (or free) pricing on sale-priced games & DLC. Currently, Xbox has the newly-XB1-compatible Red Dead Redemption "on sale" for $20 (reg. $30), albeit without the requisite "Undead Collection" DLC bundled (so there's another $20). Meanwhile, over @ PlayStation, they're charging a mere $12 for the GOTY bundle of both RDR+DLC, with the caveat these are limited to play on the last-gen PS3 (running an inferior port of the native 360's game engine).

But do Xbox PdM's understand the game & DLC have been on sale for $7.49 and $4.99 (respectively) at least 5 times in the last 2 years, and that discs of the game & standalone DLC are EASILY obtained from eBay for these same prices any day of the week? My point is ... these men with ass-hats think their customers are either so desperate (or stupid) that they'll pay a huge premium for a game recently in the news, but aren't smart enough to research buying options.

And now you can begin to see how they justify pricing the barebones Xbox One "S" 2TB SKU's MSRP @ $400, when Newegg & other retailers are blowing out 1TB older bundles (with multiple new'ish games) for under $250 just to get their warehouses clear of the paperweights. To Xbox, if it's not new or newsworthy or launching, these Ivy League MBA's simply don't care/understand their target audience, and that's why I used to be a huge 360 fan before, but now I'm happy to see the XB1 die the fate it deserves. :pray:

I tried playing this last night. Wen through the tutorial and the game keeps freezing at the emoji screen section and I can't proceed. Exited game went in to play an actual game and the same screen came up that I couldn't get passed. Restarted all over and the same thing.

The game looks promising but so far it didn't work as planned.

And picked up 2 enforcer packs! Thanks for the heads up

Huh, I was enjoying  Uno quite a bit, all the different rules and such you can change are nice additions and the Rabbid cards are pretty cool as well. Glad to hear the Poker game is good haven't gotten around to that yet.

I have a feeling digital sales are not primarily made up of CAGs. Look at the Top Sellers list, a lot of those haven't had good sales or the game made the list before a sale.

Most people don't comparison shop, like at all. I have friends that think I'm an idiot for driving to BB to save $15, when you still have to download the game anyways. I got screamed at last year to "Buy the fucking maps!" when I tried to wait on a sale for BF premium after I got my x1. My brother rolls his eyes at the fact that I go to three stores to do grocery shopping; he thinks the gas and effort spent driving around and studying prices isn't worth the few dollars saved.

We're in a super minority; we're gamers, who own xboxes, who shop on the digital storefront, we buy games we don't want because they're on sale, and pass on games we want to play so we can save $20 three months from now. These are not the habits of the average consumer.

Xbox hasn't been releasing hardware sales, and what indicators we have don't look good. The NPD just started tracking digital sales on steam, xbox, and psn, but I couldn't find the actual reports. Anyways, I have a feeling that's where xbox is staying afloat, and it's not because of undercutting other platforms.

The truth is most consumers don't have the patience to hunt for a deal. They will buy whatever is put in front of them just out of convenience or they simply don't know any better. I didn't start looking for deals until 10 years ago and now I'm addicted. But us bargain hunters are probably only 5% of the consumer base.

Most people don't comparison shop, like at all. I have friends that think I'm an idiot for driving to BB to save $15, when you still have to download the game anyways. I got screamed at last year to "Buy the fucking maps!" when I tried to wait on a sale for BF premium after I got my x1.

I have a cousin who admonishes me for buying so many games, but he buys Blu Rays on release day...for damn near full price. And he won't even watch them until months on down the road, if ever. We all have our vices.


We're in a super minority; we're gamers, who own xboxes, who shop on the digital storefront, we buy games we don't want because they're on sale, and pass on games we want to play so we can save $20 three months from now. These are not the habits of the average consumer.

I've had shit luck with the S controllers. First one, the connection on the bottom was screwed up and a headset couldn't be attached. Exchanged for a new one, and the A button sticks. Trying for a third time today.

So I bought 3 of the Enforcer packs. I think this is the first time I've ever bought "freemium' content, but it's just 3 bucks. i'll buy my character some dumb shirts or something.

Then again, wouldn't shock me if this "glitch" is actually on purpose, they probably would make a lot more money from early players jumping on what they think is a mistake more than they would from selling it at the normal price right out of the gate. Worked on me.

I played this for about 5 hours last night/early morning. It's a lot of fun, but I don't like that you can't fast forward through ai matches after you fold.

And I bought about five of those enforcer packs I think. I'll probably get five more before tomorrow.

Because I like outfits.

Christ, I hope not. I rarely play free games, so I'll avoid it as long as long as possible.

Damn, whoever designed the new Xbox site needs to go back to school to learn how to make a site that is intuitive. Not only do I have to go through more links just to get to a purchase page, it's purchase page is ridiculously bad as well.

Looks like they fixed the enforcer bundle?  If i click on your link it takes me to $.99 price, if i hit buy the page just turns white.  If i look up the pack on xbox.com it's listed at $8.65

Edit: Tried in IE and it worked, I had issues with Firefox.

It shows "Coming Soon" on the website, but on the console does it show a $40 price tag? I would GLADLY buy at that price to be able to not worry about my disc anymore.
