Picked up my copy the other day. Started it off a Free Redbox code in August. Got about 1/3 the way through. Just finished it today. Parts of it were pretty fun but parts were annoying. A few times I had no idea what I was expected to do.

The last two missions I found annoying actually. Best Buy is giving $16.02 for the PS4 copy and $13.95 for the XBox One copy before GCU. Will probably trade it in on Wednesday when I go back to work.

Very mild spoiler...

At the end of the second to last mission I made the mistake of going back to the ground to drive to the final mission. This is wrong. Took like an hour to figure out how to get back to the top of the buildings so I could get to the last mission. Crappy level design IMO.

Final boss battle wasn't too bad once I figured out WTF I was supposed to do. Annoying as shit not understanding what to do with the crystal. Died a bunch of times till I figured it out. Wasn't clear to me.

For $10 it is worth a play I think.

Oh yeah. Digital foundry videos are gonna be sooooooooo good. Obviously some games will have better resolution on PS4 but im really curious to the performance on titles that had frame rate issues and comparisons of load times.

At $5 I’d say go for it. It’s full of raunchy humor and some decent gunplay. The visuals weren’t bad on the 360 either. Not sure how it’ll look on the Xbox One.

The comments on the videos/articles are going to be salty as fuck. There’s already complaining going on in the AC:Origins and Shadow of War YouTube video and Eurogamer article saying these kind of comparisons are unnecessary and gameplay matters more than graphics.

  • Limbo - Start game and just go left. When you walk over the glowing orb you unlock one.
  • Metro Last Light - Complete Training Sequence to unlock one.
  • D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die - Just start playing the game and it will unlock after prologue finishes.
  • The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 - Unlocks after opening scene.
  • Layers of Fear - Get the key upstairs to unlock the room downstairs, then remove the cover from the painting.
  • Resident Evil 6 - Finish the beginning part of the game. Pretty easy.
Post any other easy ones if you know any.

if you already played limbo, you can re download and just find one of the random eggs with chapter select.

Also both of the saints row games have a beat the 1st mission achievement, which are both approx 10 minutes to complete

I just finished it a few weeks ago. The humor and controls are pretty on point. The characters aren't half bad either. Worst case scenario it goes on EA access since EA published it. Worth $5 if your gonna play this year otherwise wait as it will go on sale again.

Apparently my GS is doing a midnight release for my Scorpio. I'm too fucking ready! Specifically waiting to play Wolfenstein, Doom, A.C. Origins, and Cuphead. Want to play the best version of them possible!

Begs to wonder where those complainers were in late 2013 and throughout 2014. Remember when Ubisoft announced there would be parity between XB1 and PS4 for AC Unity? I'm pretty sure the #PS4Gimped and #NoParity hashtgas trended for a few days.

I was going to say there is a bit more hope for Andromeda than Deus Ex, but apparently the multiplayer support is drying up with a final addition coming on the 7th (N7 day). I don't think doing an X1 patch that just adds better textures and a higher resolution would take many resources, but unless it gets a boost since most other EA games run on the same engine, it's probably not coming. They're just going to sweep ME under the rug for a while. Once that Quarian book comes out next year people will get mad again, and then it will probably be quiet, with them hoping that Anthem or Dragon Age 4 will get people to forget.

The Tight Bends Speed Zone can actually be done by cutting through as long as you get around those trees and rocks. For the Playground games ones, you need to do Online Adventure -> Custom Adventure -> Games Only. Only pain then is if you have to do X number of a game type, so you have to get through the other games. Then there are the cheaters, like I had during a game of Infected yesterday. Someone wormed their tiny car, don't remember if it was a Mini Cooper or an Abarth, between wood piles in the timber mill and no one else could fit in there to tag them. Everyone was stuck waiting out the timer.

For Tight Bends, I'm guessing you're going downhill? I'd gotten off the road far enough to fail a few times, maybe I just needed to be closer. The game can be finicky about how far off it lets you go.

Yeah, attempt it going downhill, there's a bit of a clearing above the Speed Zone poles that you can get some speed with in anticipation for the diagonal line you'll need to reach 60MPH.

 
MGS V is getting a PS4 Pro update tomorrow. This probably means an X update is in the works too. The Fox Engine is really well optimized so I'm sure it'll be 4K on the X, possibly on the Pro as well. The game is 2 years old so I'd say this is because they're still working with this code for Metal Gear Survive, so I guess something good came out of it.

I wonder, does anyone think that Sony and/or Microsoft could start a "war" over 4K/HDR/Enhanced patches

I know it wouldn't make sense with 1X being significantly more powerful than PS4 Pro, but PS4 does have a larger install base and we still don't know if 1X will outperform the Pro (as in if to does better than the "1 in 5" Sony reported back in June).

If it is as easy to develop the X patch as Microsoft has claimed, the "war" would only occur over exclusives. I can't see a third-party developer (unless they got paid significantly by Sony/MS) develop a patch for one console and not the other.

Of course, this is all hypothetical.

I think it depends on how far the word gets out. It seemed like before prior to launch of games there would be no mention if Destiny/COD WW2 enhancements till close to launch. Sony would look like the ultimate villian if they paid off a company to make a XBox X patch, but I'm not putting it past them to have companies keep quiet about patches till closer to launch.

The only game I know that is recent that has a PS4 Pro patch but no X patch is currently Dragon's Dogma. Will be curious if that gets added to the list.

Sounds like dynamic super scaling will keep the game at 60fps at all times, even if it means going below 4k resolution. Will also get HDR.

Got my FedEx tracking for the Xbox one x from Taco Bell. I don’t use FedEx delivery manager so it was prize logic that had them email me a tracking number. Will be here on the 2nd
