Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.
[*]ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
[*]Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
[*]Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

^^ That’s all EA stuff. Hoping there’s substantially more.
Well, there's the GTA5 bundles, too. But the countdowns are only available on pages with a current discount showing, like EA Access or the ~5% the GTA bundles have. Game Pass had it for a month or so, but those pages changed. The important thing we have is the time to expect things to go live.

I'm legit surprised that list of games going on sale everyone is saying how it's all EA and not a single snarky comment replied back how GTAV isn't an EA game.

So far the sale is almost entirely stuff you get free with EA Access.
I hate to spoil it for you, which is a lie, but when Bloomy says something is "counting down" that specifically means the discount from EA Access. It has a hidden sale tag that is going to "expire" when it is replaced by a real sale. Pretty much the only sales Bloomy predicts are EA games for this reason.

So is this just that old dig that you should never buy EA games because they will eventually be free on EA Access? 'Cause, if so your opinion is bad and you should feel bad for having it.

*edit* GTAV made the list because it is currently on sale. Which backs up my point that Bloomy is tracking when sales are scheduled to end abnormally to predict deeper discounts.

I thought I'd take advantage of the b2g1 sale on One games at Gamestop. Big mistake. I got suckered into the Pro membership, to bring my total down slightly. Only one game was playable, and only two could be installed. I could never access my Pro account, they apparently changed my password without telling me (I was Pro 7 years ago, back when it was called Edge if I recall correctly), and the reset password link doesn't work (yes I checked my spam folder). I went back yesterday to get a refund, and was told I had to call customer care to get a refund on the membership. So I called today. 40 minutes and a supervisor later I'm told I can't get a refund on their end, and that I'd have to go to the store and then call them back (I had a 20 minute wait the first time FYI) to "work something out." So somebody at Gamestop is lying. My time is worth more than that, and I told him as much as well as that I'd be disputing the entire charge with my credit card company. He said ok. So my credit card company is now working with Gamestop. Hey Gamestop, this isn't how you get business. It's how you lose it.

I'm going to stick with digital, and shop at other retailers.

Karnov's Revenge is this week's ACA Neo Geo release.

This is all you need to know about the game.

Globophobia is an epidemic sweeping the nation and is NOT something to be taken lightly...

Also, WTF is wrong with her???

Well, to be fair, this all started with your negligence of your own account. But having the store call support is probably the right thing to do. I would recommend opening a new account and having pro added to that if you are still interested.

Ugh!!!!!! Can't decide what to do about deadpool..... I'm starting to think I'll skip the digital and pick up a physical copy. Then hope for some good Black Friday prices.

What negligence? Not using my account for 7 years and expecting it to still be there with the password I last used with it? Is that negligence? I've had dormant accounts longer than that elsewhere that I was able to just log right back in again. And no, I'm not the least bit interested. I can't access my account for any coupons, I never have and never will buy a used accessory, and after dealing with a game that can't be installed, I have no desire to ever buy a used game from Gamestop again. This is also the second time in two months that a Gamestop employee has lied to me. Why would I let them keep my money?

Ugh!!!!!! Can't decide what to do about deadpool..... I'm starting to think I'll skip the digital and pick up a physical copy. Then hope for some good Black Friday prices.
I'm leaning towards this. Used prices are around $15 right now, and the game has been released twice now. It won't become rare anytime soon, even if digital goes away.

Plus, reports online say it pings Activision servers every minute or so, resulting in frameskips. The only solution is to play it offline, which is just tedious and gross.

I'm sorry your having a tough time Kane. Bong is right in the fact that you should have the store call customer support. They have their own line so it only takes two hours instead of three.

Are you locked out of your account yet? Have you tried every possible password? Did they give you your email at the store?

I'm curious why it does ping the servers, is there a leaderboard or something? Delisting probably would mean an eventual death of the servers. Anyways, I don't think the price will shoot up too high, but I bet there will be a bit of demand when Deadpool 2 releases. It seems like Activision didn't want to do a fire sale or it would have been $5 digitally. Retail probably won't drop below $20 other than Black Friday.

Playing the 10 hour trial on EA Access, and I have to say Battlefront 2 is just like the first one, except much prettier looking and some different heroes/maps. I've only played about 5 hours but I already have 25K credits, and all I've played is Starfighter Assault or whatever the ship mode is. You don't HAVE to buy any MT's now since they lowered the credit requirement for the heroes. It's not a bad game at all. If you liked the first one, this is pretty much more of the same, aside from the whole Star Card system and all that shit.

What negligence? Not using my account for 7 years and expecting it to still be there with the password I last used with it? Is that negligence? I've had dormant accounts longer than that elsewhere that I was able to just log right back in again. And no, I'm not the least bit interested. Yes, that is negligence of your account, but I'm not faulting you for it (just speaking plainly about it) because that happens. And I was suggesting for you to go into a store and have them call support on your behalf as a way to help resolve the issue to your liking (refund, fix your account, move the status to a new account, etc.), not in an effort for them to keep your money. I'm not sure how that leap in logic happened.

EDIT - And FYI, you don't need to access your account to get to the coupons. Since they were able to pull up your account in store to make it Pro, they can easily access your coupons for you.

You are under the assumption the employees at my store can do anything right. By The way I just looked up the TOS for Pro, and according to the TOS I should have been able to get a refund by phone.

A Pro Member may cancel their Membership and receive a full refund within 7 days of purchase of the Membership, subject to certain conditions. Upon returning the Pro Membership materials, the Pro Membership will be downgraded to the free Player PowerUp Rewards. A Member may cancel his or her Pro Membership at any time by notifying Customer Service by mail, email or telephone. GameStop, in its sole discretion reserves the right to cancel an individual Pro Membership by refunding the purchase price. Cancellation will result in the loss of any bonus points accumulated during the Pro Membership.
I was told by both the CSR and his supervisor that refunds over the phone were not possible. So once again, I'm pointing out that Gamestop lied to me so they could keep my money, because they don't expect me to jump through their hoops to get my refund.

Are you SURE that they lied to you? To keep your $15 + tax? Could it be that maybe they didn't know you could do a refund over the phone by being ignorant of their own policies and actually feed into your statement about your store's employees not being able to do anything right?

Again, I'm not trying to be difficult with you or start an internet war, I'm just trying to provide a little perspective. If you keep a level head and your wits about you, you can have a VERY lucrative relationship with GameStop.

Xbox phone support >> chat support

Got my 12 month unused Xbox Music Pass code compensated and they threw a couple of extra dollars for it to come out to $120 in Xbox money.  Chat wanted me to provide proof of purchase and all that other bs.

Looks like the Black Friday XBL Gold prices will go live at 3pm Eastern tomorrow. I have meetings at 2 and 3 on Thursday afternoons, we'll see how quickly I can get a scan up.

The following items are counting down :

Battlefield 1 / Titanfall 2 bundle
Battlefield 1 Revolution
Battlefield Hardline / Battlefield 4 bundle
Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY
FIFA 18 / NBA Live 18: The One bundle
FIFA 18 / NFS Payback bundle
FIFA 18 / NHL 18 bundle
FIFA 18 / Ronaldo / Icon
GTA 5 with fish cards
Madden 18 / GOAT Holiday
Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe
NBA Live 18 : The One
NFS Payback Standard / Deluxe

Some games are counting down also that are in Game Pass for the same time left as the games above:

Might be more but I can only see games I do not own.

These might be in the Black Friday sale, but not sure.

You're not convincing me doing business with Gamestop is a good thing when the options are lying or plain ignorance of their own policies. It's their job to know. I assumed they were looking up their policies when they both put me on hold. But since they both said it wasn't possible, what were they really doing? Now it looks like they just put me on hold to further piss me off. After all, it took me 20 seconds on Bing to find the answer. By the way, I was cool and level headed throughout the entire thing, until the supervisor wasted my time.

You might have a great gamestop, but I have two real shitty ones. And you apparently have never called their support either, because they definitely have some awful employees there too.

Picked up a $50 Xbox Money card to get ready for the sale. I don't know if it's a new thing (haven't seen it since the points changed into real money), but I bought a $50 pack (3 x $15 with a "free" $5) for $45 from London Drugs (does the US have it?) Might be worth checking some places to see if these cards are available.

By now, I almost want to say if Doom goes on sale for $12 or so I will buy it. I Now await comments of Doom being worth more than that and best single player experience ever and once you were blind, but Doom made you see based comments.

Walmart sometimes sells a card just like that. A $45 pack of cards that are worth $50.

Yeah, they have the Holiday packs here too. And they're worth more too! :D

Is that on the web site or console? The web site used to do that for Game Pass games on the US web site, but that stopped. I checked the Halo Wars DE page on the Australian marketplace, and I didn't see any indication of a countdown on the page or in the markup.

So what's the best way to do the Game Pass deal?
I have never been a member and I do have an X1X but didn't notice a code in there?

I'm guessing, free trial, $1 deal, X1X deal and then something about auto renew bonus?

Directly from the Gamecrate review the dev chimed in:

If anyone happens to read this in the future, the choppy stutter festival that is the PS4/XB1 port of Deadpool was lazily done, and I'm partially to blame. It was a shovelware rush sadly. Our in-house upscaler, and yes, I mean "our" by the means of the x360 source code we had received was put into our in house unreal system chain, and we upscaled most textures and bump maps accordingly to main assets, while level assets were simple upscaled. We didnt change actual coding, hence the auto handshake for achieve/trophy updating causes choppy gameplay that I wanted to fix but didn't get any greenlight for the man hours needed.

If you want a fix for it, just go into your console settings and play in offline mode, no handshake requesting with the servers and any choppiness comes from the original code and was still in the original x360 version.

TL;DR Play the game offline, it fixes stutters caused from send/receive packets for the achievement counter. I'm sorry for the probably avg work I would have done if I had been allowed to fix the source code at all. Thats working in a corporation for ya. Port work comes with too many restrictions of altering the original. Easy corporation $$$ thats it. I dont get to show any of my coding skills in shortening the very awfully written source code the game was sent to us as.

Hillarious admission from someone there. As expected a quick cash grab port.

Both. I was looking through games the other day on the Xbox to see if any were said to expire and saw those games had 5 days left. Now I look on the website and 14 hours, same as Fifa 18. It actually show on the site for US and AU sites.

Interesting that they're handling marketplace listings for Game Pass differently than EA Access. I don't subscribe to either, but the EA games still show me the EA Access price and the page source shows the discount counting down. Though in my experience the countdown doesn't begin until there's 24 hours left. Game Pass games show me no hints about incoming discount changes.

It is weird because on the Xbox every game in game pass has a date next to it,.

I'd been wondering about the dates for the Game Pass games. Most seemed like they are set for a year after the game was added (Most show June 2018) but I noticed two that only had days left. I just checked the one I remember, The Flame in the Flood, and it shows 12 hours left. So that means a sale?

And it let you pay with credit? Are you sure?

Both mobile and desktop want me to add a card to pay with.
Well yeah I had my PayPal on there, had to be on there too for payment of the auto renew... If I were to do that.
I'm not. Just getting in some F1 2015.

Samsung Pay 20% off $50 spacebucks continues on, quite possibly another 2 weeks. It has me very tempted to jump earlier for an X to get it that much cheaper. Going to try and trade some old controllers as well and get GS credit to turn to more spacebucks to lessen the blow even more.

to add to this. if youre new to samsung pay theres a promotion going on right now if you make 3 transactions you get a free $10 amazon giftcard.

Gamepass can be paid with account balance but you still need a card attached so they have something to charge if your balance runs out.
Can you just attach a Visa GC with a couple cents on it? I did that to get around the stupid requirement of needing a CC on your account to get the free GWG 360 each month.
