It's definitely hard to appreciate Mass Effect before getting 5 hours in. Eden Prime is still kinda painful, and the first Mako mission feels very 2007. RPGs are the exception IMHO to the 2.5 hour frame others mentioned.

Glad the fire wasn't a major disruption and everyone is safe.

I'm still stuck on day 3 of TAGS 12 Days of Christmas. Popped 6/7 achievements from Rare Replay.I think I have one achievement on Tomb Raider DE I can finish up tonight. Any suggestions on Rare Replay achievements that are time efficient would be helpful.

They're limited edition cosmetic packs that you have to pay $5 or $10 for during the first few weeks of early access. Would be nice to have some garish free Xbox-themed stuff like the Twitch Prime stuff in the PC version.

Was going to wait a day or two to hit 7000 points and do $10 from bing rewards. However, considering that the points port dollar is the same @ $5 and $10, then it doesn't matter if I do $5 now and $5 later or $10 later. Based on how they sold out last time I'll do the latter.

Also it looks like Bing Rewards changed from monthly points for browsing with Edge to monthly points for doing Bing searches in Edge mobile/pc. Yields much as 4x as many points per month. Previously 150/month for browsing; now 20/day for Bing searches in Edge or max 600/month.

the other system sucked because it didn't work efficiently

and now I don't have to use that POS browser as much that doesn't even load half of my web pages properly

I literally couldn't even do banking or anything similar on it because many things never loaded on it

also could never watch a live youtube video on it for some reason

I'm with you. I don't like Edge either. Edge and the Bing app are crap on mobile compared to other browsers I've used.

Glad the Bing Hot Deal for Xbox credit is back. Had checked last night, but it wasn't up yet. Had enough points for $15.

For day 3, check out Forza Motorsport 5, which was GwG back in September. I used the 0 point Ferrari achievements, which are all have a ratio over 3.5, and unlock a 25 GS one after completing all 3. Go into free play, rent the needed car, set the needed track, do 1 lap and you're done. For the one where you beat a Ferrari in the Shelby, max the Drivatars and check the starting grid before the race. If there isn't a Ferrari in the lineup, back out and try again.

I knocked out day 3 last night, finished the FM7 Forzathons, then got the N and O achievements for day 4 from Rare Replay (starting Killer Instinct Gold and Grabbed by the Ghoulies). E shouldn't be too hard. Looking at clearing Uranus in Gyruss, beating Space Invaders Infinity Gene on Easy or reaching car tier 7 in FM7. Starting Solar Jetman in Rare Replay will then take care of L.

The day 6 challenge is unlocking 6 single player achievements.

Thanks Bloomy. I have FM5, but haven't touched that in a while because I'm awful at racing simulators.

Haven't popped those rare reply achievements yet either so I will try those when I get to day 4.

I'm not very good with the simulation stuff, either. Had turned off some assists to help with the drifting FM7 challenge and forgot to turn them back on when doing some races. Things ... did not go well. Particularly since I had rented some high performance cars, and had equipped mods for no rewinds and non-cosmetic damage. Sputtered into the pit at 40 mph while being lapped.

 
Day 6 is 6 achievements marked as single player. For the second time, I’ll knock this out with Tales From The Borderlands. Did day 1 with it too.

I was just loading up some old games to give to a friend who just now joined the 360 generation. Found an unused code for 240 Ms points in one of the game cases. Too bad I can't redeem it. Microsoft did recognize the code though.

Wonder if I've qualified for In the Zone, and if not, if the Co-Op mode counts. Sucks playing on the post launch maps isn't retroactive. Doubtful I've got 50 kills with every weapon. Embar, Enforcer, Hammerburst, Longshot ... I probably have the assists. Wonder if there's an easy way to check which Series 3 cards I have without having to cross check against a list on another site. I think I'll have 5 Flaming weapons once they give out the ones for recent events. I only have the Lancer right now, and I don't think I bothered with the ones from the OSOK event. Funny the Midnight Omen skins one is retroactive since those skins aren't even available yet.

Inconceivable solo campaign ... eek.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll get "I'm in the Zone", "Best Teammate" and...............that's it. Should be able to get "Mine!" rather easily though. Still have like 10,000 unspent coins since I finally got the character I really wanted - Myrrah - a couple of weeks ago.

That’s the new one in the Sepulveda Pass on the 405. The San Fernando Valley is getting ripped now too. The 405 is closed there, as well as the 5 going to Santa Clarita to the north and the 210 in Sylmar. That’s 3 major freeways out of 5 affected for the valley.

The Thomas Fire in Ventura County where I’m at jumped the 101 freeway last night and is now at the shore. The fire resources are getting thinner out with all these fires breaking out in LA now. 65000 acres have burned in Ventura with 0% containment, but it’s mostly been uninhabited. But I’ve had 3 friends lose their homes, and a couple other coworkers are still in danger.

I don't know what happened but my phone went to 3G and my connection through the hotspot, so my Xbox in this case, got improvements. Almost a constant speed, contrast that to random sputters of weak bandwidth (doing about 280Mb/h), at a reasonable slow but was faster than before speed (1GB/h). Finally grabbed the update for Cuphead and my god is this game kicking my ass. I realized after a bunch of deaths that oh right I can dodge zoom over or under things. It's just like Super Meat Boy & Trials, those kicked my ass too, but they're all fair in their asskick-ery.

Downloading the FM7 update and got a Minecraft & Dirt 4 one that just popped up today!

Thanks for the Bing/Microsoft Rewards info, I'm close to that $5 credit again.

Yeah, 405 is shutdown both directions. Half the folks are working from home. I'm not close by any means, but, we have plenty of smoke to see and are prepared to evac, if need be.

I should also get Veteran Gear. Currently a little shy of 7k credits. Spent a bunch to complete the classic stuff from last month, and am stockpiling for Gearsmas.

I hadn't done any of the Game Pass quests/Xbox quests before last month.  When do they typically send out the rewards for those?

Also, Did they ever clarify what counts as multiplayer for this month's quest?  Like, does PvE Destiny/Co-op Gears/KI Shadow Lords count, or does it have to be a competitive mode?

fucking 210 is always burning....I feel sorry for the folks living around it. This is like 2 or 3rd fire in the last 3 months...

 
Crazy how the only one I'm worried about is the Inconceiveable solo campaign one. Most of the others will pop for me on day one. I've put in an ungodly amount of hours into Gears MP. I think the ONLY weapon I might not have 50 kills with is the Hammerburst. I never use that shit.
