I have a job that pays very well but it's dangerous. Therefore it's not worth 3 hours away from my family to be chasing around gamestop flips. I'd rather just chill with my kids. Everyone has their own opportunity cost for their time though. Glad you got your Xbox one X paid for though. I have my money saved up for mine.

Only items counting down to date night are Shadow of Mordor GOTY and Song of the Deep.  Mordor might switch to Gold only following the free play weekend, but better safe than sorry.  If you are able to purchase it, at least.  Maybe clear cookies?  Try from console?

We'll have to disagree there. Even if I have to spend the ten minutes listing/packing/shipping extras to get something for free, it's a good deal to me. I would never pay what the 64gb vita cards go for, so really it was the only way I'd have one lol.

Also, you get 20% off used with an elite membership. So used prices on a 55 game is actually 44.

I get that it depends on the person. But what I netted in a single day was better than I have ever been paid and that's including when I was making 500.00 a day as a defense contractor in afghanistan.

I guess there is no point in me even posting this, but I didn't know Gamestop was really a thing anymore. I thought people moved on and found better deals elsewhere continually. 

I DEFINITELY didn't understand that adults spent any amount of time flipping, and certainly not hours of their day. If I lived next door to a GS, I'm not sure I'd want to spend enough time in one to build up store credit. Maybe because I'm old and cranky, with kids, and a variety of hobbies and other activities, but to drop more than about 30 minutes a month on hunting out deals is where my limit is. I wonder if there is a sweet spot age for flippers and grinders, or if it truly spans age and income level. 

That's my patronizing, semi-get off my lawn rant.

I DEFINITELY didn't understand that adults spent any amount of time flipping, and certainly not hours of their day. If I lived next door to a GS, I'm not sure I'd want to spend enough time in one to build up store credit. Maybe because I'm old and cranky, with kids, and a variety of hobbies and other activities, but to drop more than about 30 minutes a month on hunting out deals is where my limit is. I wonder if there is a sweet spot age for flippers and grinders, or if it truly spans age and income level.

Why are so many people on a site called 'cheapassgamer' constantly surprised that people do things to reduce the cost to buy videogames?

 
A good hustle is ageless, and people love getting deals on things. I've heard more than a few people half-joke on here that they almost enjoy buying games for super cheap more than playing them.
 
Meh, I've grown old enough where I can say "it's your money, do what you will." I Bought Resident Evil 4 five times now. Like there are more dumb ways to spend time and money. Now excuse me...I'm going to play Resident Evil 4.

It must be the "having kids" thing as well. I've already noticed that being mentioned several times as a reason for people being surprised at other people do things to reduce the cost to buy video games like you put it.

I have a broken leg and I still hobbled to a couple Gamestops. I didn't make out like a bandit, but I was able to pay off all the games I wanted for the rest of the year and I got to clean out my shelves. That in itself is a Godsend for me since I'll be a father in a couple weeks and I'm anticipating my gaming budget is going to drop like a rock.

Edit: and I completely forgot why I'm here. Is Battlefield's premium stuff worth it at this point?

Yeah It was a little odd when I tried to grab it on the site. Can't remember but it was the 2nd button over like, grab the game didn't work - I kept getting an error on the site. Then I decided to go with the Install on my Xbox button, the 1st one and it went you'll find it in your queue. I was planning on picking it up for $4 after I played a bunch and found myself like hmm why not but last night I looked at the game's store page and all it says is Play & Game Hub.

Just looked now and it says Buy to Own, there we go.

It was hard to pass on Shadow of Mordor but I don't know that I want to start over even for $4. I think I'll just wait for the new one to drop.
 
I'm interested in getting Mass Effect: Andromeda and am tempted by the current sale at GameStop. I would prefer digital, but the XBL sale price is too high for me. What are the odds we'll see a better price from XBL in the next couple of months?

Pretty good. Odds are it will be on EA Access before the year is out.

Wait...all these years I thought I was just building my "Frowning Dude Holds Gun" art collection. You mean there's something inside the plastic cases too??
