Just idk man, ties into the "all movies being down" discussion from a few days ago but modern Hollywood movies just bore me so much. Everything feels so predictable and made by committee. Obviously some good stuff still gets through but the last 4 or 5 times I went out to the movies I really regretted it to the point where I've just kinda stopped going (last movie I saw in theaters was Fantastic Beasts to give an idea on how long it's been.)

Only movies I've actually watched this year are It Follows and Shin Godzilla lol but those are old now I guess. Only movie so far this year that seemed interesting was Bladerunner but ehhh I will just wait to rent it.

Apparently the original release was just an environmental puzzler, but the director's cut (on X1) has a narrative mode and is considered the definitive edition. When I read that, I figured I had to give it a try.

Portal 2 sure seemed to pull out all the stops and end in a way that was pretty final, but there's always room for more storytelling, I suppose. At least the free co-op expanded the lore and characters while making the gameplay more complex.

The Portal games are my favorite puzzle games. I'm sure most fans will say how they're fun, challenging, have nice dialogue, etc. The one thing that I think is completely underrated is how they teach you the mechanics, slowly ramp up the difficulty, and then layer in new mechanics. I feel like a lot of games don't get this right; there's either a point where the curve is too steep and you have to look up a hint online, or it's too repetitive. In the Portal games, the balance was just right. Nothing felt repetitive. Every room had puzzles that were familiar yet required you to think slightly differently. It totally fires up your brain. Love them so much. Would absolutely get any sequels they made.

Here we get different games sometimes, i guess this time it's because of "dia das crianças" something like kid's day ( I know those are M rated games ) i don't know maybe.

I don't remember. That was a long time ago! Lol. I checked and don't see an achievement for doing NG+ so I'm guessing I never did it. I know I got all the achievements on both games though. Why, was NG+ repetitive or something?

NG+ was really really REALLY hard. At least for me.

Yes, all of this. Portal more than anything is an accomplishment for its excellent game design. Minimal tutorial and teach the player by slowly introducing new situations. It's an art that's been lost in the modern gaming era but games like the original SMB were very thoughtfully designed in this way. Portal is way more complex and manages to make it all so natural to learn.
 
The little I played of The Turing Test, which is the games with gold the middle of the month, it's the closest to a blatant Portal rip off I've played yet. Seemed pretty good, I got sidetracked with so many TrueAchievements.com contests going but I'll head back to it sometime.

You two should look at Quantum Conundrum (if you haven't). The development team has one of the original creators of Portal and includes similar, learn-as-you-go, levels. It builds up its "power" repertoire slowly before allowing you to mix the powers to solve the puzzle.

So I fired up Huey Lewis & the News' "Power of Love" with my Amazon Music app while playing FX3's BttF table and my god what a difference - new high score, I was really feeling it. That table has a 6 pinball multiball mode! Also got the achievement for connecting with the lightning lol.

Doesn't look like ports of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions if there's no Pat Sajak/Vanna White in there. Player characters are also different.

QUBE talk: I just started it yesterday after it being in my backlog for ages. If you like portal or turing test, you'll like this. The story is okay, but nothing mind blowing. The puzzles are cool and a decent difficulty if this is your type of game. I looked up solutions for a couple of the puzzles, would like to think if I had kept trying I'd eventually get the solution, I was just getting too frustrated. The time trial mode is a fun change from the story mode. The puzzle are different and have power ups that change your speed/gravity. It's a good deal at that price. If you're an achievement hunter, it's a pretty easy 100%. The hidden puzzles are pretty easy to find but the puzzles themselves are a little harder than the main ones. The time trial achievement is the only one you'll have to work a little bit for.

My impression of the story. I don't think it's major spoilers but figured I'd spoiler it just in case.

It's basically the same as portal and turing test where you aren't sure of your purpose and what brought you there with someone talking to you as you go but the ending was a let down. It gave the impression you were going to have to make a choice and I was looking forward to it, but the choice never came. If it had come to a choice and you essentially chose the ending of the game, it could've been way better.

 
My Shadow of War gold edition arrived from Best Buy. Expansion pass was redeemed correctly. Don’t know if it was a glitch for some or they fixed it but everything is there for me.
 
I wonder if they forgot about the 360 deals and are negotiating with the publishers today regarding which games and/or ad-ons will go on sale this week.

Maybe they’re finally working on integrating the 360 store directly into the Xbox One store so we can use credit, not be forwarded to the old site, etc.

That would be a decent reason behind the 360 weirdness of late. One can hope....
 
Some Mass Effect 2 and 3 DLC, Cabela's hunting, Mars: War Logs, Dark Elves are the deals. 

I think I preferred not knowing...

Alright, I thought only sales happen for American related events. I know Australia hasn't had a sale for an Australian event.
