I haven't seen any hate for Super Lucky's Tale, it was just completely overshadowed by Mario.

 
Surprised to not see a uproar on sites about the PUBG console exclusive comments, or are they just playing with the words and it will only be exclusive during early access? I've seen a few say console exclusive only during Early Access. Makes you wonder how long it will be early access on the X1. The PS4 is nearly on par with PS2 console sales (year by year sales, not total obviously) now so have to wonder how much MS paid to even acquire timed exclusivity on the highest selling PC game this year by about 17 million so far (Ark was the second highest paid game at 5+ million according to Steamspy).

A lot of mixed reviews and the decrease in price sharply around BF would show they weren't expecting it to be received so poorly.

Eh it's a platform game, which tends to appeal to platform fans while others have moved on and joined the shooter genre fandom lol.

I thought about picking it up with such the price reduction but then my backlog is huge that probably by the time I can play it it'll be $5 lol.

The Orville Season Finale was good tonight btw.

This mornings Forzathon in FH3 was all jacked up. Said it started in 6 days. Did 20 drifts and got the "achievement" for it. Did the rest and didn't get the BMW M4.

Wonder if it will show up later. Also didn't get the 3 wheel spins. All I care about is car though. Maybe just buy it later.

That code has been giving out tom Gears Players has nothing to do with the mixpot...also no codes will be given out... it will just appear in your ready to install list.

How was Orville overall? I started watching ep1, but I've been too busy for much tv or gaming and I'm way behind on so many shows.

For the Thanksgiving Forzathon I logged in last minute (after 10 days, I know) and knocked out all of the challenges. Did the air and landscaping ones at the same time, but they wouldn't pop even though I counted over double the necessary numbers. Switched to the required car for the co-op race and ran thru a drift zone and one of the other two popped. Finally found a co-op race and the other got it, but I didn't. Time ran out and I gave up. Posted in the forums, but didn't hear anything. Four days later I turn on the box and the two remaining challenges popped. Loaded up the game and the in game notifications popped. Think I got the rewards too, but I have so much I can't keep track. So very well may show up later.

Yea alot of people didnt like SLT's camera. Basically just a stocking stuffer type of game

Mine all popped fine. Just didn't get the car or spins. Probably didn't get the XP or CR but didn't notice or care.

Not a big deal. Assuming the M4 isn't insanely expensive in the market place I will just buy it if I don't get it. Not like I buy cars too often anyway.

Just didn't want anyone to waste their time if it was jacked up for others this morning.

I will never forget when I was playing BL2 on XBox One and the achievement for leveling a character up to level 5 never popped. I started a new character and brought him up to level 5 still nothing. All the other level achievements popped just fine. Like you said a week or so later it showed up. Thought I would never be able to get all the achievements.

I thought it was fun. Combat was engaging and felt good, with each character playing very differently from others. It's definitely not a button masher, but you can do okay just knowing a couple of key moves if you're smart with your blocking, or put in the time to really get good. The campaign was fun enough and multiplayer was cool...you can play with bots to play in a more controlled environment if you like.

Watched an analysis of the Soul Calibur trailer:

-When Sophitia is knocked into the air, the images that flash by are all from Soul Calibur 1-5, with the implication that she is remembering them.

-Nightmare, Patroklos, and Pyrrha are shown in these flashbacks.

-Technically Sophitia was dead during the events of the Patroklos and Pyrrha scene, but I'd guess that it's more about showing her remembering her kids, or that their destruction of Soul Edge in V has something to do with the earlier setting.

-Blocking seems to charge up some version of a super move. You appear to be able to parry in some form. As both Mitsu and Sophi block, their weapons start glowing red and each counter with a big Super-like attack.

-The new character at the end has a crest that is apparently connected to Siegfried, speculation that they're from his gang of bandits that he was apart of early in the lore. Hard to say, but I think it's a woman based on the boots.

So with this setting, unless there is actual time travel then I think the new characters from V will be out. Like Patroklos, Pyrrha, ZWEI, Viola, Natsu, Xiba. Or SC IV characters like Hilde and Algol. Now, a lot of these are the characters that were made as replacements for the series regulars so they wouldn't be a big loss, but the unique ones would kind of be a bummer. With the time separation it wouldn't make much sense for any of them but Hilde, Algol, and maybe Viola (as Amy) to show up during the events of SC1, though Algol was trapped in a different dimension basically at this time.
 
DMC HD collection remaster. Let's be honest. This is why we don't see more games backwards compatible. Because nobody would by these remasters like Bulletstorm and LA Noire for $50 bucks a pop if they were backwards compatible. That's why. MS have a working 360 emulator all they need to do is flick a switch to get any game working on the One so it has less to do with technical issues than it does other things.

I don't know if that's necessarily the case. There are a lot of games that are backward compatible and also have xbox one versions. Usually the X1 version is out first so they can get some money before the old game goes BC once the remaster doesn't sell as much probably.

I also think a little more work goes into making a game BC than flipping a switch. There are games that have been restructured digitally or that never got digital releases that they have made digital.

It's mainly a Capcom problem. All the Dead Rising and Resident Evil ports (4 so far) to current gen, and no BC for their 360 counterparts.

 
I avoid buying 360 Capcom games anymore for that reason. It's very rare that their titles go BC, they always get remastered or rebundled (like Mega Man 9 and 10). Their remasters tend to drop in price pretty quickly, but that's besides the point, I'm tired of rebuying my games when we have the BC ability.

I have all three Lost Planet games on 360 still, I'm hoping by some strange sort of luck that all three will go BC since they weren't really popular enough to warrant remasters, but I doubt it. They'll probably never make them BC and just wash their hands of the franchise entirely.

Yeah, outside of a handful of games like that shit Dark Void, Street Fighter IV (for obvious reasons since Sony money-hatted SFV and wouldn't surprise if the new DMC does end up being PS4 exclusive) and the Dead Rising 2 standalone DLC's, Capcom's clearly not on board with BC. I'm still waiting for Remember Me :whistle2:(

One of the reasons I haven't bought the new versions of those games is the hope that some day my 360 versions of RE and DR2 (whichever was gwg) would go backwards compatible. Also the fact that I still have a 360, so I could play them on that if I really wanted to.

Are those the only ones that haven't been remastered or were they unused in the bundle? Maybe they didn't think it was worth doing XBLA games?
 
Capcom''s on board for BC (they have Ducktales Remastered, Flock, Dungeons an Dragons, Final Fight DI, Mega 9/10, Bionic Commando 2, etc) but yeah, it seems like it's just stuff they won't re-release anytime soon.

 
Those remasters would still sell, just not quite as well. Really, it makes sense to make updates still since Sony isn't on board with BC, and Nintendo wasn't able to keep up there track record with the shift to cartridges for the Switch. It's mostly Capcom that's skipping all of their bigger old games, which has been rumored to be in a bad spot financially for the last couple of years.

I think it might be likely that we'll see a slight increase HD remasters again because of the popularity of the Switch and PS4 over the Xbox, which is kind of nuts this far into the generation, but whatever. At least more people will get to play Bayonetta 2 now.

 
I know why I don't like that Sea of Thieves controller. The randomish purple and green paint splatter reminds me of the posters, etc. for Suicide Squad. *shudders*

 
I'm fine with the capcom remasters/ports because they are reasonably priced and technically sound.

If they were $40-60 then I would have a problem.
