I might actually get this, but I'll have to wait until someone clears up some of it. I don't want to spend $10 just to not manage to get enough playtime in and miss out on some of the rewards if I haven't hit it by the end of the season.

With PUBG being semi-borked, I'll probably bounce between both of them for now.

I suppose sending form emails to my congress people wasn't very useful. I hadn't really considered you could program a script to generate thousands of the stupid things. They also throw out ones that use synonyms, so even if you re-worded some of it (like I barely did) they'll just chaulk that up to machine learning.

I'm not sure how you're blaming Pai for "covering things up." Is he supposed to believe the 300,000 forms in favor, or those against? Not defending the guy, he's clearly a corporate shill, just not sure what anyone could do with that "information."

Ugh. I hate it when something 80% of people are in favor of keeping getting brought to a vote until enough people lose interest for it to finally get voted down. I know when Pai brought it up this last time my reaction was "this again?" How many times do we have to tell you that we don't want ISPs to throttle certain connections at their whim?

I've never had more fun with a racing game then Forza horizon 3.
I've been doing a bucket list challenge in a construction zone.

This whole challenge has been just to drive crazy in the construction z. I have it on cockpit mode and it's raining. The graphics and physics are just amazing.

In having so much fun just driving through this construction zone tearing stuff up.

I'm going to spend many hours with this one.

Honestly do think I’ve spent more time with FH3 than all other racing games combined.
 
Much like a lot of celebrities, it’s unfortunate when you think, “yeah that person is on the same wavelength as me, I get them”, and then they open their mouth (or type something in this case) and wow, nope, different planet completely. Sigh.

Week 1 of PSN sales either has me jaded with cheapness or I have too many games, but I don't feel too impressed by the deals?

My mystery gift for doing quests with gold was a wonder woman rental, pretty  happy with that, I bought BvS on black friday so ill watch this one right after

Just finished the TA 12 days of Christmas. Dead or alive 5 and rare replay really helped a lot. It was fun. The only 1 I got stuck on was the 10 achievements worth 10 each, until I downloaded dead or alive and got all 10 in about 5 minutes

Lol, went to Minesweeper, Reckless Racing and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX on Win10 to grab some rare achievements. Then I was playing Gems of War and reached lvl 250 - Rare achievement unlocked. OK, they must have added that with the last update.

So I mistakenly refreshed the page on TA, thinking I'd just get my homepage back again, but I lastly sent in a scan request (so I just resent another scan request). Now I have to wait 24 hours lol. Doh

Played my first round of battlegrounds. Glad I found a spot to land with no one else, had to figure out the controls for a minute. Had a bit of jank, but nothing worse than when I first got it on pc. Ended up in 8th place.

Saw on XBA and TA that ultimate chicken horse is finally coming to xbox. Played it at pax East last year and had a lot of fun. My friend with a PS4 picked it up months ago on there and we usually play it when there are a few people over and have a lot of fun.
 
Been playing Gears 4 all this week and I really do love that game. I'm by no means good at MP but it's fun, nonetheless. Also, I think the matchmaking is pretty solid. They consistently match me with similar players and I can go 1:1 even as I do dumb shit and suck at using the gnasher.

Hopefully Finn and Phasma are cool. I'm glad they're doing events but I'm disappointed in the Last Jedi event so far. It's just extra quests and there isn't really any way to see what faction is doing what or who's winning. I was hoping for something more fleshed out, like in For Honor. I'll have to check out the Overwatch event, too. Too many games!

As far as the other stuff re: eye witnesses (spoilered for those who don't care)

The eye witness thing was just a comparison, but I'll happily engage nonetheless. A lot of the reason that eye witnesses are not so reliable is that the witness isn't generally right there up close as the crime is committed. Maybe they are, but the other person is wearing a mask. Maybe it's a stranger and it's hard to remember their features, Etc., etc. With these sexual assault allegations, these are people that are known to one another and the person coming forth is the alleged victim. That's a lot more reliable and you're basically down to "is the victim lying?" as the only possible logical defense in most cases.

It's certainly tricky as you don't want to convict the accused automatically, but you also don't want to call possible rape victims or assault victims liars. It's also interesting that public opinion often convicts some individuals while giving others a pass. It seems like most people believe R. Kelly and Michael Jackson did what they were accused of, but you still had people refusing to believe any of Bill Cosby's dozens of accusers. Same with Trump. Extra interesting because Kelly and MJ were actually tried and not convicted. (Disclaimer- I think R. Kelly is guilty as fuck and MJ got a bad rap).

I'm meandering now, but I think it's important once again to distinguish between "should private companies want to be associated with people who have been accused of multiple instances of sexual assault/harassment?" and "should this guy be locked away without a trial?" Like it or not, we all assume some people are guilty and others aren't. It's just a matter of where you personally draw that line.

What is with this dumb ass culture on this site of referring to people as ‘lurkers’ and acting as though they shouldn’t get equal access to things being given away because they don’t have some arbitrary level of participating or posting? If you’re giving something away to people visiting the site, why do you care who gets it? Why does someone have to ‘earn’ the right to have it? I will always post the entire code when I have something to give away, hoping a ‘lurker’ gets it because I hate this shitty cliqueish attitude.

I'm assuming it's used in hopes that those who give things away may consider another method in the future. I can't tell you how many times someone will post something like "if anyone happens to have an extra code for whatever I'd love to have it" and then literally the next post will be "free (whatever previous poster was asking about) to whoever wants it". I get that it's a lot easier to post a code and still feel good about yourself but I have seen the scenario I described play out way too much to where I personally will never take that approach.

Well ultimately it's to encourage participation and discourse right. I suppose you need to say if the item that's up for grabs is of any value. Usually it is, digitally wise or a neat little addition for a game someone wants to play/is enjoying playing. For people that are regulars it's a nice bonus. CAG should have a raffle system in place and users could place their free codes and what not into it. Just my 2 cents.

Hope we get more DLC than we've been getting, but not getting my hopes up. I kind of regret getting the basic version of injustice 2 and don't want to pay $40 for all DLC. Could also use the non hot wheels FH3 DLC.

There is no date yet. It's "in development" . Was really disapointed because I wanted to play it this week, at least the new DLC. Edit: Correction, coming soon which supposedly means in the next 30ish days.

BTW encase anyone was wondering the For Honor dedicated servers are going through beta tests "soon". So there will be dedicated servers...eventually.

I can't stop playing PUBG despite the input lag, frame drops and inventory management that gives me massive anxiety because I'm afraid someone is going to blow me away when I'm busy looting.

Holy crap did I get lucky at Target yesterday....

I found Rise of the Tomb raider, Return to Arkham (both xb1) and Lego Star Wars TFA (360) for $9.98.

I also got a copy of Battle Chasers Nightwar for XB1 and PS4, and Naruto Shippuden 4 Road to Boruto w/season pass for $14.98 each!

Hope everyone finds some deals like these this holiday season!

I also saw Just Dance 2017 Gold and regular edition for $15. (Syberia 3 was $25 and Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5  was $20 not really deals yet but they were there.)

It is better for sure but they are similar. Forzathons are usually fun and a reason to fire the game up every week for me. There is a nice FH3 Demo which lets you play for several hours IRC. That is what convinced me to pick it up this time last year. A year later I am still playing it once a week. Granted not as much as I was a few months ago but still enjoy firing it up.

If you liked Burnout Paradise, FH3 is just like that, but better. No cool burnout-style crumple-wrecks, but everything else is awesome. This is the first "racing" game I've really gotten into since BP. I dislike simulators, so regular Forza does nothing for me. Arcade racing FTW. For an open world racing game, FH3 is about as good as it gets.

If I were a betting man, I'd guess some of the Criterion team works on the Horizon series. Either that or BP is the developer's favorite game ever.

I was working on TA D12 yesterday. I had it all planned out for achievements in the 1.01 to 1.10 range. Picked up my 1st achievement in FH3. For the 2nd I was supposed to finish an opponent with an ultimate ninjitsu (Y Y B ) in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. But I blocked 1 hit not realizing that was an achievement I didn't already have. And BAM ... I jumped ahead 150 achievements to 1.3895. How is finish an opponent with an ultimate ninjitsu a lower ratio than block 1 hit?

In the end I'll be able to complete D12 and thus the 12 Days of Christmas challenge overall. I have plenty of achievements left. Some of them will just require more time or more grinding.

So TA has their games of the year voting up so I went to the 2017 list of games and realized I have only played 5 games from 2017.  The backlog reigned supreme this year since I had my best year to year achievement increase with ~58,000 so far.

Holy crap! I was a beta tester for Live on the original Xbox and have been a member ever since and I only have 59,000 GS or so... I guess I just play too much CoD and not enough of everything else...

Same here, still have the shirt and memory card, but I had a few year gap during the 360 era due to no wifi model, and I'm only just now breaking 30k. Plenty of PC time to reduce it, but never been a big GS hunter.
