Just tried this and it came up.

It came up about the $5 if you do the survey, in the terms it says US only.

I clicked next and it pops up:

I just got another to pop on my pc (when I found it I was on my phone) and had ad blocker on so it shouldn't be an issue. I wasn't logged in so I'm not sure if that made a difference but just a heads up for anyone with multiple devices who wanna give it a try.

It went back to normal but it was really weird, it said welcome to the new MS Rewards dashboard. It started off with a 3 question quiz and one of the questions is how many points to do you get with PC Search and the answers were 1 point, 3 point, 5 point. I picked 5 and it said it was wrong 3 points.

When I clicked on the highlighted "Points Breakdown" that shows what you've done for points that day PC Search was listed as out of a total of 90 points and mobile was listed as out of a total of 60 points. What was even stranger the "other activities" was listed as over 6000 points available. Back on the dashboard it had a big panel for filling out a mission in Monster Hunter World for 6000 points. When you clicked on that it took me to a page that said do these 3 missions to claim your reward. The first one was to buy the game, the 2nd one was to take a quiz, and I can't remember what the 3rd one was. After I clicked through a few other things the page went back to the way it has always looked. Was kind of odd but with all the changes coming to the Reward program, see what happens I guess.

 
Finally got the survey to pop up again and took it. Now I’m $5 richer for all the time I wasted trying to get the thing. Oh the life of a CAG.

I’m sure MS will be getting really quality results when they get 500 surveys and 499 of them are cheap gamer types.
 
Nerfed my first survey earlier in the week on my laptop before we new or was worth $5. Got it to show up again today on my phone while disconnected from my home network.

Should cover most of the cost of Emily Wants to Play & Thomas Was Alone.

Finished playing Dead Space a few games ago and thought I would start playing Ninja Gaiden Black. About 10 minutes in and I box comes up saying I am logged out bye, then the game closes. I checked the site and it says status is good.

Anybody else having problems or is this just me? Going through process of turning router on and off, just thought I would ask also.

EDIT: Looks like resetting router fixed it, hope it does not stuff up again.

Was clicking too fast (like a dumbass) when the survey popped, so I borked that attempt. Will try later on my phone when off of my home WiFi. Just be aware not to get too carried away clicking as you might miss it.

 
Did The Little Acre just go on sale for the 2nd consecutive week?  It was on sale for 60% off last week and is on sale for 70% this week showing 6 days remaining.  That's gotta be a first, no?  Even NBA 2k bling has a week or two in between its sales.

I think that might be key. I tried to get it to pop for 10 or 15 mins and nothing. Disabled UBlock origin and it came up pretty quickly after that.

 
Liking Ninja Gaiden Black so far, looks good too. But having inverted controls is annoying. What is weird is if you press the right stick in you can look around without moving with the camera normal, press right stick in again and camera is back to inverted. Makes no sense.

Those fuckers! I literally just bought Overcooked last night! I’m going to see if I can get a refund. Ridiculous that they put it on sale the same week as it is announced for GamePass.

Product listing for the Mega Man X Collection is up on Best Buy for preorder, and apparently each collection will be on its own disc, even though they aren't being sold separately. This seems very odd, since there's plenty of room on the disc for both of them.

Got my refund for Overcooked. :)

Otherwise a great month. Two new releases. GamePass is killing it for value.

But seriously, it was pretty crappy to put Overcooked and The Escapists on sale the same week they announce them for GP. If nothing else, they could have at least announced this on Monday.

With the lack of hype, coverage from gaming websites and behind the scenes talk that makes it sound like the game was meant to be a $30 base game with a bunch of paid DLC; I don't exactly have high expectations for State of Decay 2. Especially after Microsoft gave a bit more buzz to Sea of Thieves, but people already seem done with it.

Not sure if I'm interpreting this right, but the reason they make it sound like a $30 base game is because it is being marketed and sold as a $30 base game.

It is a pain to do for digital purchases. Had to dig around a bit but basically just used the virtual assistant and kept saying I wanted to talk to a human. Finally got on chat with one and badgered them until they gave in.

Holy shit if Escapist wasn't Games with Gold it would be a month I own 0 games.

Really looking forward to State of Decay 2. The first one still is all over the place even on the X.

Laser League is the second game to launch with game pass. Wonder if this will be a monthly thing with indies going forward?

I've heard nothing but good things about Overcooked and glad I never bought it. Will try it ASAP.

Homefront looked great with the X patch. Haven't played it in awhile will have to give it a whirl.

Sonic and Knuckles is a nice gesture because I believe it will not be included with the Sega Genesis Collection.

Damn, doesn't appear to apply if you're a current subscriber. My sub resets around the 5th, and I was trying to work out if I could get a 3 month hot deal from MS Rewards before then. Will be close if they keep the 300 points / day on PC searches going for a while. Hoped that $1 deal would have solved that issue.

If your subscription expires the 5th of may, you should be able to renew it with the promotion (this time is also available for Game Pass old users). I´m waiting till the last day to subscribe to the service so that I can try State of Decay 2.

The $1 promotional price is slated to run for 14 days, so you should be able to get in on it if your sub expires on the 5th. They've ended XBL promotional prices before they were slated to end, but those were usually 1 month for $5 or 3 mo. for $10. The $1 deals always end at their scheduled date, as far as I know.
 
Just got the survey to trigger on my phone after some light browsing.  Tried getting it to pop up on my computer while at work, and the darn work firewall blocked it.  Gonna try again at home and hope I didn't botch it.

 
I had it pop up just as I clicked on another game, it took like 30 seconds to show up. Guess I need to slow down and hope it comes back.

Edit: Just had it come up on Edge instead of Chrome. I got several questions in and then it said I didn't qualify. Guess I'll keep trying on my phone.

Damn, doesn't appear to apply if you're a current subscriber. My sub resets around the 5th, and I was trying to work out if I could get a 3 month hot deal from MS Rewards before then. Will be close if they keep the 300 points / day on PC searches going for a while. Hoped that $1 deal would have solved that issue.

Holy cow I didn't even know they did the Forza stream rewards like they do GOW? When did they start doing that? Always?

Sonic Mania Plus has a release date (July 17th), and the new characters abilites have finally been shown. We also see the 4 player splitscreen mode, and hints at the remixed zones with one section showing a stage with a different color palate, like a different time of day. This is a Switch trailer but it's physical on all platforms and the upgrade is going to be available as paid DLC.

Speaking of Switch, if you have one you may want to hold off on updating the system if possible. A few days ago a hardware exploit what published for Tegra, which the Switch uses. This means all current Switches can be exploited and Nintendo shouldn't be able to patch it, though I did see talk of the possibility of them being able blow some fuses that could cause problems. Otherwise they need to redesign the hardware, at least internally, to kill this for future owners. This makes homebrew possible, meaning we can get user solutions to dumb shit like not being able to back up saves and homebrew games and ports, though it will also open the door to game back ups and eventual piracy.

There was already a rough and brief video someone getting Dolphin running so we'll probably see a lot of activity in the coming weeks.

Finally, back onto Xbox specific news. 343 made this post last night. Basically, they acknowledge the effort that went into, and demand for, Halo Online, but also say they legally can not allow it to be "available". Since the core functionality is based on MS build code and assets, they can't have it out there in the state it's in. They go so far as to breakdown how something like Installation 01 is allowed and el Dewrito isn't. They gave very clear reasons and actually aren't trying to kill the mod team or their work, instead taking down all downloads that include the original leaked Russian files.

Anyways, I think this was bound to happen once it became as polished as it did and managed to blow up on all the major sites. The cool thing is they aren't completely killing it for those that really want to play it. They're allowing the custom work the devs did to stay up, so basically you'll have to find the original Russian leak and patch it yourself, which is how a lot of fan translations manage to stay up permanently. 

 
After trying for like 15 minutes to get the survey to show up on edge I tried chrome and it showed up after like 3 pages. Used the $5 to pick up Human Fall Flat for $6. I watched my friend play it on his PS4 the other week and it looked like a fun puzzle game.

Careful....don’t be throwing around the p-racey word around here. I’m pretty sure it’s against forum rules but then again I’m not a mod. Interesting read otherwise though!
