Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.

Have any reasons been given as to why so many 360 games have gotten updates recently? Just today I had about 20 but hadn't turned my system on for a few days. But that was probably the third of fourth "batch" around that size in the last month or so.

Also some of the updates fucked up the filtering so had to be updated twice. Dayonta was one of them, I reached out to the head of the BC program and he even tweeted me when they were fixed.

Honestly I am just here for Bloomy and folks. I hardly buy stuff on weekly deals now because of GWG and Gamepass. Gamepass is the final nail in the coffin for me. I am down to buying 13 X1 games a year and 8 switch, with the occasional AAA PS4 title like Persona 5 or God of War.

I will probably impulse buy some 360 BC additions or OG xbox titles. Esp the OG XBox BC titles since they were are $10 anyways or less on sale.

Anyone ever let their Live subscription lapse? Mine is up in about two weeks, and right now the only thing keeping me considering renewing is the nice number 10 next to my name. I don't want the count to start over. I haven't played online in a very long time. Like... I played Battlefield 1 once in late 2016. Would I still be able to use Netflix, Hulu, etc. without Live? I have enough single player games to last a lifetime. I feel like I'm throwing money away.
I've had mine lapse twice without the number being affected.

It's due to the GDPR.

Played a bit of the vermintide 2 beta today. Enjoyed what I got to play and totally get the left 4 dead comparisons. May need to bring the first one out of the backlog but have a couple others I want to play first.

It’s definitely a big improvement over the first game. I am disappointed there’s no 60fps option.

Been an Xbox only for about 10 years now, but after a trip to the Dominican Republic and sitting behind a guy with a switch...I’m sold on getting my son one for Christmas. Nice screen, smooth graphics, just the right size, and ability to play on the big screen. Only negative I see currently is no way to be a CAG with these. Unless I’ve missed them (probably), no big discounts on the software.

The eShop has sales, but yeah, first party games are difficult to catch cheaper.

I usually find deals on Nintendo credit. Usually 15-20% off. That makes most games cheaper.

Other than that I preorder on Amazon. Only game I paid full price for was Zelda and I hated it.

Thanks everyone!

I still don't understand why that would require a download between 500 MB and 1 GB in most cases. I'm not questioning that that's the reason since clearly it was somewhat common knowledge, I just don't see how it equates. #datacaplife

Yeah as others stated... 20% is probably the best discount your going to get on first party titles at least for the first few years. But google express has helped me. Hope they do Nintendo Selects like they did with the Wii U, but Switch software seems to sell ever better. Theres also the "Switch tax" of $10 on some games (IE a game retails for $30, but sells for $40) and also some companies don't put the whole game on the card so you need a memory card in the long run.

I was able to get Mario Kart for 30% off via Google Express back in January. They do some deals here and there for new and existing customers. I've seen Splatoon 2 go for $40ish after discounts as well. Mario Odyssey was pretty cheap with promo codes at one point to. But I've never been able to grab first party titles for $30 or less yet.

The Switch unit itself has been around $50 or so off during the eBay flash sales the last few times.

Zelda was actually on sale on the Nintendo E-shop last week for 15% off and Splatoon 2 was $20 off. I also picked up Mario for 15% off for a digital download on Amazon. Don't know if that's way out of the normal just because E3 week but maybe Nintendo sales are a little more enticing this time around.

edit: also their "rewards" program is straight up 5% back and simple like how Xbox rewards used to be

It seemed like there was a couple times when it had a hard time keeping up with the action and I'd notice when moving around a lot. Nothing bad enough where I wouldn't want to play anymore though.

FTFY

Yeah seems like 20% off if you still have GCU is about as good as it gets on Switch. My son wants Mario Kart and Kirby but I struggle paying $48 for games when I buy all my Xbox ones for so cheap.
Think of it this way:

With all the money you save by being a CAG, you are actually using those savings to fund full price for Switch games!

Where did all (most?) of the Telltale 360 games go?  The links to Batman, Borderlands, GoT and probably others are suddenly broken. They were fine 2 hrs. ago. I was literally just about to buy a few of these and by the time I got my 360 hooked up and waited 20 mins. for it to install new updates, 'poof', the Telltale games just disappeared. If I try to purchase the games directly from my console, I just get error messages.

Sucks. I've been waiting ages to grab these on sale.

My day one console is scaring me. I mainly use it for streaming now, and it's been flickering video signal off which causes the tv to go black. It's very noticeable because the tv will show the input/resolution popup like you're changing the input. Is it dying or is there something I can do?

I tried out that "insects" video thing that's listed as a game in the store and it didn't pick up that my TCL has HDR. Whenever I put Netflix or something similar on the HDR icon pops up. Is the "game" messed up or something?

Does it happen to do it when you start and stop movies on amazon prime?

I figured the Mixer deal would be over long before I got back from vacation to a working browser/Xbox to take advantage of the $5 deal, but it appears to be alive and kicking. Has anyone come across someone offering Nier?

Are you using Netflix through the Xbox app? If not, in your TV settings you may have to turn HDR on for the input you are using for the Xbox. (I had to do this with my OLED)

Is it weird that a game like Nine Parchments is on sale for 50% off (the price I was waiting for) but it's not listed on the front page of this thread or Major Nelsons deal page for the week? I only found out because I was scrolling through the XB1X Enhanced section of the store last night. :whistle2:k

Just checked with a Mixer partner - Nier does not appear to be available as a direct purchase yet. Maybe tomorrow once it releases. I don’t recall seeing a hard end date for the promo.

Netflix, MLB, and WWE have all had the issue. Going to swap the cable out and see if the changes things.
I started having an issue but only with prime video around a month ago where everytime I start a movie or stop a movie it flashes pink and then the resolution pops up but the movie starts, can’t figure out why it’s only happening with that app.

When the icon appears it is on xbox and not the TV. I'll check that solution out though. Thanks.

I had to do the same thing on my Samsung KS8000. You have to enable HDR on each specific input through the tv menu. You might have to do the same on your TV.

Anyone here caught up in ww2 where you have to complete all daily orders and the ones you buy with armory credits or is that just me? For this reason my cheevo hunting days seem to be behind me now :(.

Slow day, figured you all might care that Amazon has a bunch of $4.99 digital movies right now:

https://slickdeals.net/f/11735371-amazon-digital-hd-movies-3-4-99?src=catpagev2_catnav_entertainment

Noteworthy to me not listed in the SD post: Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, It Follows, and The Descent.

Not all of them work for Movies Anywhere, but I'm fine w/ that for Amazon.
Vudu disc to digital can get most older movies for 2.00 a piece.

Use a website called

Dvdupc.com to scan the barcode and add to vudu
