MAC cloning! That's what my buddy used on his X1 when traveling. I was fond of using my phone hotspot to create a network, would open the browser on the console, go to the hotel page, disconnect from hotspot and then connect to the hotel wifi.

The one time I traveled with my One, back in February last year, I just used Edge to load up the hotel's landing page and log in to the Wifi that way.

 
Has anyone mentioned the possibility of that Xbox themed Humble Bundle being announced at X018 this weekend? Thought it would've been mentioned here in this thread, but I didn't see anything even a few pages back.

Ah okay. Either way, I'm hyped. MY hopes are very high regardless but even if I'm let down, scoring another month of game pass for $1(when I let it expire last week) gives me a high I can ride for a bit.

Sadly, that offer wasn't extended to me. And I can barely budge my Xbox dot com visit counter in that adventure challenge. I've visited the site eight times, yet the counter is still at 3. Not cool, Microsoft.

 
I thought you just had to go to the Xbox web site from the link provided on "Venture Through the Badlands." I've been doing that daily, although I did miss one day. The counter was really slow in the previous challenge, too.

Tempting, but something makes me want to see if the blus go on sale somewhere. Even though they have issues, and probably won't get discounted. I first saw the show as dub so I won't mind as much.

I got the code from Movies Anywhere as well. Now that's 9 movies they've given me that I have no interest in!

Yeah I found some old scratched to hell dreamcast games and a gift card. For something I'm going to turn on at most once a week it seems fine. If you're going to actually going to be playing stuff on it I'd go for the redesign as well.

 
Started playing Battlefield V via Access and am liking it a lot. Know they say it isn’t much of an evolution over BF1 but I’ll probably end up biting on it after milking the 10-hour trial dry. Maybe I like WW2 over WW1.

Also have come to grips with the fact that I am a Battlefield man through and through over COD (which I actually sold already).

And damn is this gorgeous on X.

I wish you could still get codes for Microsoft credit from rewards.. the 6 mo gamepass deal for $30 is a better deal than gamepass directly redeemed from rewards, but I earn bing points on my main and share gamepass from my bros acct.

I am facing a plague, a literal plague, of trivial gaming specific first world problems.


*Edit* I forgot that you can gift bing credit now, so I can juggle funds around when there's a hot deal for spacebucks. For now I can use Fred Meyer discounted credit, which I've been stockpiling in anticipation of predictably weak holiday sales. $30 ($24 after discount) for 6 months that stacks seems like too good of a deal to pass up. In for a year.

I'm jonesing right now, 10 hour trial wasn't enough. The game is amazing.

 
Apparently the wildfires here in California nuked some critical infrastructure for Spectrum internet. Can’t get any fiber internet, only some spotty LTE which is currently overworked because EVERYONE is on LTE right now.

Remind me again why the “always online” future is a good thing?

I'll take the winter every year over one day of having to evacuate my house like they regularly do in Florida too

That's not the only thing that happened. 250K people have evacuated and over 100 houses burnt to rubble. The fire is currently at 90k acres and no signs of stopping. The freeways are closed while the fire fighters risk life & limb to save whatever they can. There's power outages to top that off; I'll gladly take lack of internet service over all of this.

That's just the fires in SoCal; north is a different beast in itself.

We're currently evacuated and staying at a friends place, not knowing if the place is intact or for how long. We had to leave with just change of clothes and our passports, no time to pack. I stand to lose lot more if this gets any worse.
 
We just got this in the North Pacific as well, Typhoon Yutu tore through my home. No power and water but for whatever reason internet/cellular data works.

I thin k it's worth it to spend $5 on 1 month of EA Access and try it if you are on the fence about buying the full release.

Year round golf weather is my answer.
But given this is the second large fire within sight of my house in the last year, that may not be enough anymore.
 
Up in Michigan our only really bad weather is snow, but it's pretty miserable for like 4 months minimum every year of just consistently cold and shitty. We did have a tornado in my town once like 4 or 5 years back. I think one of the desert states might be the place to be, like Arizona or New Mexico. Nothing to spread wildfires, no ice storms, no earthquakes(?). Big cities that have public transport everywhere seem like they kind of negate the snow at least too.

 
I feel like I'm missing something, what are all the challenges people keep talking about?  Are these just the ones from the Preview Program?  Or is this something else like the Gamepass challenges?  I'm an ambassador too, but I haven't been keeping up lately with much of that or the preview program stuff...

 
Yeah saw this in another thread here. Was 50/50 if I was going to get it. Was on my way up to the mall area this morning with my wife and she mentions we have $50+ at EBates and wanted to know if I wanted it for something at BB or Game Stop. Wish she had mentioned it before we went out I would have ordered it for store pickup. Anyway just ordered it for delivery on Wednesday. Will replace the 2TB on my XBox One X. It might be acting up and is getting full.

FYI Best Buy has the 4 TB WD drive for $79 as part of their Black Friday preview. Had one for awhile and it’s great for all the games I horde but never play.

Obsidian is doing a 24 hour Extra Life stream that just started. The community guy said no presence at XO18, or technically "This weekend is all about raising money for the chids!" (Child Kids I think?)
