I have an interesting take on the story of that game:

I feel like the story of the game is that you are controlling a video game character and pushing him into madness. In a typical shooter, the characters are just fine and dandy with the fact that you make them kill 300 people, but your main character in Spec Ops actually reacts to the horrors you make him commit. He doesn't realize he's a video game character, and you the player are pushing him to kill more and more people in your quest to be the hero of yet another video game. That also explains the character's sense of deja vu near the end with the helicopter battle, since you already played that part at the start of the game before it flashed back in time to the start of the story.

 
So The Darkness 2 is bc, but The Darkness is not? Shouldn't these go bc in order? Or should I grab both because by the time I'm ready to get them out of the backlog to actually play them they'll both be bc?
 
I'll be impressed if The Darkness makes it to bc, because it was never digital last time I checked. I stand corrected.

Does anyone know if it's against ToS to use the same payment method (as in same PayPal account ) on a different Xbox account to take advantage of those first timer subscriptions (GamePass, gold for $1, etc)

I'm pretty sure you can create as many accounts as you want and fund them however you'd like. I know I have my PayPal account saved on both my brother's and my own accounts.

Slightly unrelated, but why do people complain about smurfs on PC but not console? On PC you have to buy new copies of the game, but on console you can just create a new M$ profile on your home console and start a new game that way.


There's no way countries that blocked Back to the Future or Van Helsing are going to let Shadow Warrior slide, so where are the replacement GwG already? South Korea, Japan, and Germany are all likely to offer Slime Rancher again.

Was Spec Ops GWG at some point? I thought so, but I don't own it and F $30.

I'm sad I want games on Xbox but my friends play fighting games on PS4 so my stick is for it. X1X > PS4 Pro generally, but grr compatibility.

 
Glad I picked up Spec Ops one of the last the time last times it was on sale.  Wishing now I had gotten the darkness 2 as well.  Played a demo of the first one and liked but never got around to either game.  Still, finally some good BC announcements.

 
If you can find it, The Darkness II is $4.99 and Spec Ops $9.99 at GameStop. Not great on Spec Ops but better than $30.

Rumor is all 3 new BC games this week are going to be on sale, but the 360 side of things is still borked. Someone on Reddit said the page originally listed titles but the sales weren't live, and then they took the listing down. So it may be worth waiting for.

If you have 3 other 4.99 games you want to combine with Darkness II (like Darkness in hopes it also goes bc), gs still has 4/$10 until 2/11. As low as $2 per game with PUR elite.

But you guys do whatever deal works for you.

Sounds good to me. Have SO physical but may go digital if it’s cheap enough. Also would get Darkness II.
 
Did the $1 Gamepass thing just so I could play Halo 5.  I rushed through it on easy...honestly it was more enjoyable that way.  I think I'll be playing future Halo games on easy.  In the past I've tried to do it on different difficulty levels.  Halo 4 felt like a chore.  I just didn't care for Halo much anymore after that, which is one reason I went PS4 first for this generation.

I thought it was never going to go on same and so I bought the "pass" when it was last on sale even though I had the winter one.

And now it finally goes on sale for half of what I paid for it.

Oh well, at least I ultimately got a 2 for 1 price.

I miss those linear, action packed 360 era games, man. They were just long enough to feel like I got my money's worth without overstaying their welcome. Nowadays unless your game is 350 hours of constsntly running and swimming to another swath of land, the shit won't see the light of day.
