Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I'm guessing the Mixer for $5 back only works on digital games right? Not the physical discs? =(
You have to buy the digital game through someone's stream, so physical would def not work.

The $5 can be on anything 9.99 and up so it could be a lot of things if you can find a link on mixer. I saw a 9.99 link to the Fortnite thing on one.

The only problem with this Mixer promo is the lack of variety. If you manage to find a partner channel, they’re definitely playing Fortnite.
Yeah, I was hoping to use the Mixer promo to save $5 on Wizard of Legend but I haven't seen a partner stream it. Only games I've been able to use the promo on is Fortnite, PUBG, Rainbow Six Seige and Friday the 13th. I swear there's only like 10 partnered channels.

Dark Souls Remastered had two guys with direct purchase enabled the other day, but I had to use PC to buy it and I didn't get any notice/confirmation for the promo. That was the first day of it and I was in a rush to get the download started. I'll just gonna wait and see if the $5 shows up.

While I wasn't excited for Dark Souls Remaster, I couldn't help myself and bought it. I remember trying to play the 360 version multiple times over the last year, but it felt unplayable after playing much smoother DS3.

I'm happy to report that Remaster feels much much better. I'm flying through the game with a heavy armor class (easy mode I know), but I was struggling to even get to Capra Demon on 360 version. About to enter Blight Town today.

Screw that game and the NPC by the fire after killing the first boss. I was just playing when I whacked him with my sword. Now, he automatically kills me every time I load the game lol. I can run, hide, whatever... he finds and kills me.

I did. It was ok but then "origins" movies aren't usually great. Compared to the last three Star Wars movies I would put in fourth. Seeing as how it ended, I want to see what they do with the next movie.

Bless your heart for going through Blight Town. I hated that place, but not quite as much as the Tomb of Giants.

I think I’m suffering from Star Wars fatigue (especially after the last film), but I heard about one Solo plot point and looked it up. That one piece of the story excited me more than all of TLJ.

I almost went to see it, but not this weekend.

I'm a big SW fan, but didn't plan on seeing Solo till I had something spoiled for me. My lady was super not interested in it, but we both came out shocked at how good it was.

If you read SW novels and EU stuff in the 90's, this movie is for you.

Whatever you might have read, Emilia Clarke did not appear in the shower scene.

Saw Solo, it was alright. I'm seeing a lot of talk on the Internet about Star Wars fatigue with Solo, which is a bit odd with 3 Marvel movies releasing in a 5 month span, and 4 in 8 months going back to Thor: Ragnarock.

I don’t really get the “Star Wars fatigue” thing but I guess to casual fans it can be a lot after so many years between the trilogies and such. I enjoyed Solo a lot, though. My fiancé even enjoyed it, and as the movie started she complained about me “dragging” her there, but by the end she was liking it a lot. Also, there’s a quick one-liner by Emilia Clarke’s character that should be hilarious to many people on this board (trying not to spoil) - it may take a minute (at least it did for my 35-year-old brain) but once you get it, it’s freakin funny.

And 19 movies in ten years (with 2009 being the only year without an entry in the MCU). I guess that when/if Marvel ever releases a film as divisive as Batman v Superman and/or The Last Jedi, then people maybe will with start talking about "fatigue".

Marvel movies are simply more fun. After watching Infinity war and Deadpool 2, I have zero interest in Solo.

I'm blanking on what the line could be. Please provide either spoiler tagged or via PM.

I feel like there's a key difference between them though, which is that the Marvel movies have a much wider cast of characters with a wide variety of powers, and Star Wars, comparatively, is very limited. The only powers that exist in that universe are force powers, and the weapons are all either blasters or lightsabers. And every trilogy is a battle between light and dark with Jedi and lightsabers at the center of it all.

Fatigue isn't just how many movies are released over a period of time, but how good the movies are and how often we just keep seeing the same stuff on screen over and over. I think the reason you see Marvel get cut way more slack is because they're doing new and more interesting things and the movies are just way more fun than Star Wars. And I say that as someone who is also a Star Wars fan.

The horrible PlayStation 1 fighting game
Ok, I remembered that line, but didn't recall what it referenced. Also thought Darthziggy was referring to a joke she intentionally made instead of a more obscure reference, like a number of other names dropped during the film.

Right, quality is a factor, but a lot of the articles didn't mention that but did specifically cite the short time frame between The Last Jedi and Solo, while referencing the full year between The Force Awakens and Rogue One. Trying to apply fatigue solely in that way without acknowledging the MCU's schedule ignored a very pertinent factor. Though Solo is in no way a bad film. Probably didn't help that Rogue One was also heavily a heist film, and the Boba Fett film is probably also destined to play on a variation of that theme. Could help if his bounty is capturing a Jedi that escaped Order 66 and is causing problems for the Empire.

Seem to be having a lot more success in Dark Souls now that it's actually 60fps, movement feels more that I'm in actual control of some of my rolls and parrys.

Solo had a lot going against it off the bat, mostly I remember people asking if we even needed such a movie when it was announced, but yeah thrown in last Jedi backlash and a mid filming reboot on the entire production signs were there it might not land. That said crazy that something that makes $80 million opening weekend isn't considered a success anymore. One of the bigger spoilers coming out has me actually considering going tomorrow and I kind of dismissed it as not that interested before.

Countdowns for tomorrow are NASCAR Heat 2, Blood Bowl 2 Legendary, Fe, Need 4 Speed Ultimate Bundle and NHL 18 Young Stars / Deluxe.

Heh, I just got an e-mail from Microsoft saying some promotional balance in my account is going to expire a month from now. $0.01.

About a year ago I got $5.00 from Xbox Live Rewards, and $5.00 from Bing Rewards. I bought Max Payne 2 for $9.99. Looks like I'll be buying it for an even $10.

It's nice Microsoft gives you a month's notice.

Having seen all the marvel movies. I would say that Deadpool 2 is the 2nd worst movie just above age of Ultron. Don’t get me wrong, it was very funny, but there was no cohesive movie there. It was so segmented it was like watching SNL hosted by Deadpool

I know exactly what you mean. Funny movie, but there were times where it felt like one of those vintage shitty Fox comic movies. Like Ghost Rider, Rise Of The Silver Surfer, etc. I'm glad Marvel bought the rights back, because it was showing signs of Fox beginning to fuck everything up with their trash directors and scripts.

The wife and I finally got back to Overcooked. Got 3 stars in all levels, evened out my gamerscore again with that 199 achievement.

Not so fast on Disney/Marvel buying those rights back from Fox, Comcast is gunning for them now

Yo, you put Deadpool 2 over Iron Man 3?? Iron Man 3 was straight up boring and had nothing satisfying what so ever and just dragged on at a terribly slow pace. Clearly Tony's PTSD will make a for a deeper Marvel movie and bring some more depth to the character and...and it's just immediately solved by a ten year old talking him down. Wait, what?

Also if you're putting 20th Century Fox Marvel movies lumped in as a whole with all Marvel movies; X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X3, and X-Men Apocalypse were all unquestionably bottom of the barrel bad. No one knew what they were doing with Wolverine, X3 was just a mess and Apocalypse just destroyed all good will that the last two movies prior had established (you telling me that actor playing Havoc is supposed to be over 40 years old because of the needless time jump? Yet, that same actor was also in a movie a year or so later where he plays a high school student with a monster living inside of a truck? Get the fuck outta here!).

Having seen all the marvel movies. I would say that Deadpool 2 is the 2nd worst movie just above age of Ultron. Don’t get me wrong, it was very funny, but there was no cohesive movie there. It was so segmented it was like watching SNL hosted by Deadpool
not a big fan of these types of movies I find them to be pretty forgettable for the most part but I like a few characters including deadpool

I watched the first (for the first time) right before I watched the second and enjoyed it and ryan reynolds did fine in the second but holy crap did I hate everything about the young villain. Cringey beyond belief, the more time that went on after watching it the more negative feelings I have about the movie. At first my opinion was funny but not as good as the first but now for some reason I really really really dislike it a week or whatever later.
