Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I think 2 killer exclusives a month for PS4 is really hyperbolic
If you’ve waited until now to buy a PS4, like me, it feels like there’s a lot.

But there’s not that many on the regular. The big two for this year are Spider-man and maybe they Samuri one, if it even comes out this year.

I'd add Dragon Quest XI to that list, at least for now since the Switch port doesn't have a release date.

Holy shit Sony Fanboys gonna be raging over the acquisition of  Ninja Theory.

Also on the page it says 4k and HDR for Nier? Wasn't it 900p on PS4 and a mess on PC? I pre-ordered it waiting on that digital foundry verdict.

Great E3 overall. I don't know how, but I am HYPED for Forza Horizon 4! Despite 3 games on the X1 they still manage to make that game look so good! The season changes were amazing!

Also really hyped for Battletoads!

It's a shame most of the games are 2019 though.

8.5/10 conference for me. Needed a bit more of wow factor, bigger exclusives and could have done without that FUNKO Pop Gears showing.

I think EA's conference was a 4/10 for me, 4 pts just for Unravel 2.

WTF Tales of Vesperia is $50?  Guess I'll wait.

So, no one else noticed that Cody Rhodes was in the DMC5 trailer? I've never played one myself so a friend told me that was Nero. Nah, he was Cody Rhodes.

Loved that in Gears 5 we may go back to Mount Kadar like in Gears 2. It'll be cool if the sires make an apperance. Sad that Halo Infinite may not come until 2020 or even beyond. Crackdown 3 looked much better but SD has to show the multiplayer component, maybe at Gamescom.

In for Forza Horizon 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4 and Fallout 76.

My only letdown was the Superman game no-showing. Maybe tomorrow.

Spider-Man
Dragon Quest XI
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Mars

Those are all out during the first week of September.
I guess my list is more...tidy. I’m sure those will be fine games, but they aren’t going to be big reasons to have a PS4.

Spider-man will move boxes.

Can someone help?

If I sign up for gamepass for a dollar, can I then buy some of the game pass games for an additional discount to the current sale pricing? E.G. - 20% Off Tomb Raider’s Current $18 price?

Ask, when do these deals expire? Trying to do some accounting.

Thanks.

Just had a talk with microsoft reward support.

Looks like we are getting screwed from receiving microsoft rewards VIP bonuses for any purchases between June 1  and the transition date between xbox rewards and microsoft rewards..

From what microsoft rewards support told me is there will be no bonus points given to purchases till after the transition is done.

I tried to get them to answer if purchases after June 1st would be rewarded retroactively, but from the sound of it, that is not going to happen.

They also wouldn't give me a clear answer on when the transition will be done, but it sounds like it won't happen till after the 15th.

So if anyone wants their bonus VIP points for bing/microsoft rewards I would not purchase anything till at least after the 15th of June or till the transition is done.

Luckily I only purchased one game, so I'm only out about 450 bonus points.  Hopefully they have this fixed before the E3 sale ends.

So with Just Cause 4 coming out and Just Cause 2 (via bc) and Just Cause 3 sitting in my backlog, should I just go straight to 3 or is 2 still worth a look?
I'm in the same boat. I doubt that the games have to be played in chronological order to be enjoyed. And as I've discovered lately with my 52 hours in Fallout: New Vegas, 360 era games still have a lot of life left in them. So Just Cause 2 is probably still enjoyable even without the graphical bells and whistles that the third game had. But if graphics are more important, go with Just Cause 3.

Halo infinite looks good, going back to the originals was a fine choice for inspiration.  The ninja game looks great but i can never remember the name.  Sad that i bought ESO for 10 bucks instead of just playing it on game pass.   Was really hoping to see borderlands 3 be announced and the longest of shots a new Ninja Gaiden.

Game pass or EA access discounts don't stack with sale prices.

Stoked Shadows Die Twice isn't Bloodborne 2 for ps4 only. It may not be a Tenchu sequel, but it doesn't look far off.

Gears Tactics looks cool, sad it's PC exclusive.

I wasn't really paying attention to the Game pass presentation, but did they say the new game streaming would work on phones? If they add BC and Xbox games to my android phone, me and that grandpa dude got something to celebrate.

In that jumble of scrap they showed to pad out to 50 games, I saw Dead Cells. Dope.

Tunic looked cool, Zelda-like with some dodge rolling and environment dangers. Queue "The Dark Souls of Zelda" comments.

They needed to put up some applause signs or give out a bunch of free tickets to 13 yos or something, the crowd energy was like a retirement home birthday party.

the crowd seemed very unenthusiastic and i don't blame them

nothing but the 4th to 6th sequel to the signature franchises and games that are multiplatform

disappointing E3 so far

I don't understand the Sony Fanboy posts I see online.

How is investing into 5 studios bad? MS is working on great exclusive games in the future.

Also MS probably would have not gotten Nier, Tales of Vesperia or Shadows Die Twice without those $$$ (I think the Shonen Jump game would have came because DBZ sells well in the West).

The conference would have been better with more exclusives, but let's be real: not even MS is going to whip out big huge exclusives in just a few short years. It's gonna be a long term plan.

Ha that crowd had 10x the energy of the EA show, not that I could blame them. I don't need a dumb crowd anyway, but do need the dumb director to stop zooming out for crowd shots to the actual videos are done playing.

You should listen to the E3 crowd for Nintendo's E3 press conference the past few years. It's like there's no audience or some shit.

I don’t know if acquiring Undead Labs is anything to be proud of - State of Decay 2 released with a built in feature that allows you to reset your position if your character gets stuck in the scenery. And it has a cooldown timer! I mean, I’m glad they put it there, but it seems kind of lazy and shoddy for a final retail release...

Fanboys are fanboys, this was a good showing and has lots of games I'm interested in. I also never really get the obsession with exclusives, why would I want other people to not be able to also enjoy video games. especially with games having cross play, the more platforms the better

Nothing stood out as memorable for Microsofts showing . Sony wins E3 because they get to show gameplay for Spiderman and Red Dead .

Watching it on Mixer I was thinking they needed to up the crowd applause a bit too.  I felt bad for a couple of the presenters, and was secretly hoping that the in-person response was a hell of a lot more gracious if not enthusiastic.

The show had plenty of good stuff I thought, and am looking forward to Cyberpunk, Metro: Exodus, and Fallout 76 at a bare minimum.  Division 2, Black Desert, Forza Horizon 4, and Just Cause 4 are also on my radar now.

Was disappointed that Microsoft announced nothing for VR, not even drivers for the existing rigs.  With the synergy between xbox and Windows 10 these days it seems like a fairly easy win.  Was also looking for an update on Borderlands 3 and RDR2... ah well, it's not like I'm not already drowning in games to play.

the fanboys are the people calling others fanboys

exclusives give you a reason to own one console over the other, or own both like me

competition brings out the best in both or at least it's supposed to, a game being a console "launch exclusive" isn't what i would call competition

Some musings I haven't seen mentioned that much. I really like the fact that Horizon is now 60 fps, been jumping back and forth from my PC and One S on Gears 4 and that frame rate is such a difference maker visually. Love that they grabbed Ninja Theory and hope they resist trying to transform them into something huge and bloated, Hellbalde was reportedly only 15 people on the dev team, but the fact they now have a big check book behind them can probably only help. Probably no Enslaved 2 incoming but should be some interesting stuff. Since no Skate 4, Sessions has my attention if for nothing else seems like they can pick some music, love some old Souls of Mischief.

I'm hurt that Nier Automata isn't getting an physical release. My dying GCU discounts is crying.

Anyway, the show they had was kinda good imo. Really wish they had some new big IPs.

I guess the only think I was hoping is that we would get Halo or Gears this year since both were 3 years ago. Now both will hit in 2019. Other then that, it was a great show. Investing in the future and still my favorite place to play.

I played 5 mins of one and hate Bayonetta. Bring on the hate.

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Are you me? Had almost the exact same experience. I played the very beginning of the first DMC on PS2 and wasn't a fan. I played the demo of Bayonetta on 360 and didn't like it at all.

For what it is worth. MS has gotten the message that less talk is better. Listening to all this awkward talking is hard to watch.

Count me in the minority as well.

Sony has the marketing rights for RDR2, so we'll see it there.

I would've loved to see Borderlands 3 though.

Did I read correct? MS gave out The Witcher 3 during the mixpot? Is it still possible to get?

I own TW3 complete edition but apparently the achievements are super bugged and are not popping and I'm super bummed out! Of course it couldn't be a crappy game, it had to go and be this game. I heard that the regular edition of the game is fine. :(
