Wow those new Scavenger Gear Packs are great...5 Cards for 400 Credits and at least one epic per pack (in my case I almost got 2 or even 3 in each pack) Got over 4000 Scrap with less than 5000 Credits... also that 5 XP Bonus will get me my wings a lot faster...

Did you guys all watch this video from Ninja Theory about joining Microsoft? Really nice piece. Microsoft is allowing them full creative ability but opening up tons of resources to them.

Microsoft was already doing that with Undead Labs since they signed a huge deal for several games that eventually leads into a zombie MMO thing. They just proposed to the person they've been living with in a leased apartment.

That's a great video. Though to be fair MS has killed studios in the past. Not EA like level mind you but enough to warrant concern. How much free reign will MS give them if their games don't sell a lot? MS saw a lot of potential, and from the sounds of it their financial status was not exactly in great shape. Probably a easy buy for MS studios. If I had to put $$$ on studios worth I'm assuming Playground was the most expensive just because of their track record in ratings and sales.

I'm not saying it's a good practice but I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to use Nier Automata's Xbox release as a gauge for Babylon's Fall. I seen some speculation that A Quiet Man is actually VR because of PS4/Steam, but I feel like they would have mentioned that in the trailer, and most of the other games were actually like that if they weren't already announced for Xbox or Switch.

 
Any game that is PS4 AND PC I think it’s just a timed exclusive. NIER and hellblade were this way so I imagine if it’s on PC it will eventually come to xbox
 
I still play a lot of Borderlands 2 these days, so I would love a new one. But, unless Randy Pitchford was being sarcastic, didn't he say they would not be showing it at E3?

 
I still want Nioh on the Xbox, but it's a lot less now that From Software has their own game in that vein and it looks more like Tenchu

 
Just noticed that the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate edition specifically mentions it gets you the car pass, vip, AND two expansions. I think that’s enough to put me over the top to finally get one of the big bundles for the first time. Plus with the end of GCU coming, preorder it now for $20 off and I’d say $80 is a decent price for that.

From Software might fill the Nioh void.

TBH the only game's I want left from PS4 that are not Sony developed are probably Nioh and Persona. I'm hoping for Persona Crimson next year.

Been on the fence for a week or so but folded and got an X today with just in store credit. Anything I should know/do first? This is without a 4k TV (for now).

Welcome to X!

The game download size for X1X Enhanced games is potentially much larger on the One X than the lesser consoles, so be prepared to spend more time downloading things. Also, and I haven't been able to confirm this because I also don't have my console attached to a 4K TV, but you may have trouble with X1X Enhanced games if they are running from an external USB HDD. Hopefully someone with actual knowledge on this can confirm/deny this.

Yes downloads are bigger. I've found games run better on an external USB HDD.

I could be wrong but I think GCU price/discount is applied based on date of release/pickup and not the order date. So as long as your GCU goes out that far you should be fine. If that's not the case I'm sure someone will correct me.

So I should still download the enhancement if I don't have a 4k tv? Wasn't sure if the extra download was just for 4k visuals and I'd just set it to up the frame rate/1080 visuals without the download. Don't have a data cap, so not too concerned about still having to download without a 4k tv. Too bad I just beat AC: Origins though...

Would depend if this is your first Xbox One or if you just went from a VCR or S Xbox one. Also depends if you've got a PS4 and played some of these games already.

Check the list of Xbox one X enhanced games and see which ones you haven't played. My first X game I loaded up while I still had a 1080p screen was Witcher 3. It plays 60fps on the X at 1080p and looks sweet. Can't go wrong with Assassin's Creed origins either which also looks great at 1080p.

First game I threw at my X when I got my 4k tv was Forza Horizon 3 and it looks gorgeous.

If this is your first Xbox I would recommend checking out Game Pass. For $1 you can get a 1 month trial and for $30 for E3 you can get 6 months at Amazon, BB and Target and check out some Xbox exclusives like Gears of War and State of Decay 2 that also are enhanced. Also fallout 4 just got added and it's a classic, also X enhanced.

As for storage, 1TB fills up fast. I have an 8TB external that I use with my X. Haven't had any trouble with it so far.

Nah. They can’t change the price it was at the time you ordered it. I’ve done a bunch of preorders and will have order receipts to prove it if they give any trouble.

Thanks! I've had the VCR and S (still have both, need to sell the VCR). Will have to check out the games I haven't already played. Hopefully I'll have a 4k tv in time for AC: Odyssey. I've got a couple TB left on my external, been cutting back on having as many games installed as possible so I don't overwhelm myself with options.
