looking at majornelson site, summer sale is called Ultimate Game Sale and only the 2016 sale got announced 2 days before it started.

Vertical Drop Heroes HD is worth $3. It reminded me of a more fleshed out version of Downwell. Lost many hours to it.

Energy Cycle is a piece of crap even for $2. Avoid it at all costs.

And I bought One Piece for $10 at GameStop over a month ago and still haven't installed it.

You can at least complete Energy Cycle in 10 minutes if you want those 1000 achievement points ;)

I get it, I remember spending hours trying to get the Halo Reach one where you assasinate a covenant while falling from the sky from a height that can kill you. It's satisfying seeing it pop after you do something difficult in a game. It's the money shot. I enjoy going for the weird ones or sometimes it's fun seeing how fast you can get 1000 in an easy game. It's the meta game. I totally get it, it's the same feeling in Overwatch when you pop the loot box and see the Gold item incoming, or when you get a triple kill in Call of Duty. It's those moments that Microsoft found a way to capitalize on outside of the games.

Some people enjoy achievements....it's not hard to understand why someone might like that...I mean why do people try for high scores?

Also, achievements might not currently be rewarded but I've gotten several free games, and rebates thanks to my achievements....

I understand this. I don't understand playing a shitty junk game just to see the number go up. If you chase achievements in a game you enjoy and it brings you extra happiness I can see that. I just can't see wasting time doing something that isn't fun to see a number go up.

I remeber trying for a month to get that one. Honestly cheered when I got that one. Had reach 100% then they cane out with more achivements after I had traded it in. Sitting at 98 % now. I was pissed they added in achivements afterwards.afterwards

I used to try to 100 % every game I played I got to tbe point where my time became more about having fun then grinding for nerd points. If I'm not having fun anymore I move on and stopped caring about 100%
