I have $10 in credit with $5 expiring Sunday. No idea what to get. The only things that have stood out are double dips for Hollow Knight or Bastion.

I’d like to get Odyssey too but games with DLC have gotten so expensive in the last year. While some DLC has gotten better, it seems like most games are $100 unless you wait them out. I still can’t believe Far cry 5 is still as high as it is when on sale. I’ve got some Xbox credit and I’m hoping AC Rogue will go back on sale. I was disappointed it wasn’t part of the Ubisoft sale.
 
So all the hype built up for Hollow Knight, even used my MS Rewards points to get it free, and a complication from my cardiac procedure last week has landed me back in the hospital. Wooohoooo.

So if any of you lovely friends wanna stream it on Mixer for me to watch while i lay in this hospital bed, I would be super grateful!

Side note for FH4 influence farming, another streamer on Mixer has a loop going: TheLetslook. I just came across it at random while looking for a stream to check out.

It's basically a Hotline Miami clone that uses the Neon Chrome engine. Neon Chrome is a roguelike twin stick shooter whereas Jydge is a linear game where you clear a room of enemies one at a time without getting killed. NC is one of my favorite games, but I didn't like Jydge as much. But I didn't enjoy Hotline Miami either. So if you liked HM, you'll probably like Jydge.
 
TBH I’m very curious to see who wins forza 4 ultimate from bloomy!!!! Haha I hope I win it too! Something to look forward to on this long day!!!

I dont think DLC is ever worth it. I mean if you pay $40 or $50 for a season pass, that is almost a full game. I dont think many DLC offer as much as a full game.

Like people paying $100 for FH4. I can understand it loving the series. But being rational.. you can play it free with GP, buy RDR2 and AC Odyssey in a sale for $40 and you have 3 games instead of just 1 for the exact same money.

Ya, I hate this generation for that feature. They could at least boot up the main menu to play around with options, but most of the time it's just a static image and a loading bar. Who the hell wants that?


As long as this thread is going to be a pity party, my car took a shit and died last week. I hate shopping for cars because there are so damn many variables to consider, and such I'm a cheap bastard. I can afford payments on a new car, but I just keeping thinking that I could buy a whole fleet of cars for $20k. It really doesn't help that I insist on driving stick shift, but I don't really care for sports tuning and turbo since I'm never going to top 80mph. I'd rather drive fast in Forza where crashing into a wall/other cars doesn't mean that much. Most of the manuals I've found are sportier models, which add to the cost but not to the value for me.

I know that's some weak ass white people problems compared to all the heartbreak and medical issues posted recently, but where better to bitch and moan than a forum dedicated to sales on video games, in the thread specifically for the xbox store?

Sorry your car crapped out. It may not be medical issue grade, but it still sucks.

Of course the fan of souls games only drives a stick shift :)

Was surprised hearing AC:Odyssey comes out next week. I still haven't played more than a few hours of Origins. Got Gold version for $30 so I don't feel as bad about it. Although I really should because it looks so pretty w/HDR.

It works on PS4 - you download a little bit of the game and can start playing, then it downloads the rest as you play. The downside is that the files are managed differently between physical and digital versions; if you want to play a digital copy of a game that you started with a physical copy, you need to delete the files from the physical game installation and download the digital version before you can pick up from where you left off.

It works on PS4 - you download a little bit of the game and can start playing, then it downloads the rest as you play. The downside is that the files are managed differently between physical and digital versions; if you want to play a digital copy of a game that you started with a physical copy, you need to delete the files from the physical game installation and download the digital version before you can pick up from where you left off.

Not necessarily true for PS4. Games like MLB and Madden disguise that by having you play a practice game before you can take advantage of all the full fledged features.

The crystal shards one? HELLLLLL NO. That game was already overstaying it's welcome, the last thing I needed was spending my time figuring out how to jump up to a building or take an elevator to find a shard and figure out where to go when I got an inventory full of full crystals. The game was still overall enjoyable, but they could've trimmed and polished a few things,

I switched to that one a few days ago. I had been on Ponomar's stream, but his apparently restarted a couple times, losing precious influence, plus it no longer has the option of switching resolutions or becoming audio only. Closing in on 1.75 million.

Sucks about the car. I never learned stick. Tried once in a buddy's truck, did not go well, but I at least didn't do any damage to the engine.

Oh is it pity party time with cars now? A tanker truck and trailer decided to ignore my right of way last month, and I wasn't able to stop in time. My Challenger has $17000 worth of damage, and I have at least another month without it. :fridge:

I agree most DLC isn’t worth it. Most seem to be just extra junk. I thought the dlc for AC Origins was some of the I’ve ever played. They weren’t just junked together missions. While the skins for Arkham Knight and Most Wanted quests great, the other stuff was horrible.

Sometimes pre-ordering a game was exciting but with all of the ridiculous bundles and the patches that come out in the first couple of months, it’s not worth it to buy it until it drops in price and that includes series that I’ve loved playing.

Walkind Dead Final Season being delisted everywhere. It's still up on Switch and Humble Bundle at the moment but gone from Xbox, PS4, Steam, and GOG. Supposedly GOG is specifically NOT offering refunds. Telltale hasn't made a statement, but GOG put this up on the placeholder page.

They came in handy when deciding to purchase a game but a hop over to YT usually results in a more helpful 15 min video you can scrub through rather than a 30 second clip of someone looking at a menu. ;)

At least they still have the written user reviews. Those have saved me numerous times from buying a buggy mess that can't even be finished.

I don't know, I think Sony might have paid for exclusivity on this one for some reason, timed or not. There is the argument the SOTN is already BC on Xbox, but this collection screams Switch with Richter as a character, and Dracula, and Alucard all being SOTN designs in Smash Ultimate, especially since Rondo of Blood has only had PSP and Wii Virtual Console releases so far in the West. Konami has been pretty multiplatfrom friendly lately for the most part, with games like Metal Gear Survive, and the eventual port of Super Bomberman R.

I see two possible reasons.

1. They think half the colleciton being BC is good enough, and signed some sort of deal with Sony. We have very similar but reverse situation with Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner MARS being a PS4 exclusive with a PSVR mode, and ZoE HD Collection being made BC shortly after launch.

There's nothing Phil can do. MS can try and sell the XBox to Suzuki or Nippon (Japanese, but not even related to gaming) and suddenly there'll be a flurry of activity with Japanese games on the JBox

Yeah I didn't go into a lot of detail, but I think it's safe to say that they will be getting SOTN on the PS Classic from it. I'm leaning more timed exclusive just because of the Switch opportunity and maybe Xbox can get some love from that aspect.

I bet Activision's many deals with Sony alone will keep that from happening. Both Destiny and CoD regularly have the exclusive content. I don't think they've ever commented on crossplay either.

I think old Bungie would push for it, modern Bungie I can't say I would expect them to, not as corporate as they seem to have become.

I would say no for D2. I can't see them going through the trouble for crossplay at this stage of the game's lifecycle. If they're planning to launch D3 next fall, then I would say a definite no; if they plan to delay D3 another year like they did with D2, then maybe. I definitely see crossplay as a possibility for D3 and D4.
