Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Does anyone here have Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite? The store page says it's 63GB. If that's true, why is it so big? Most AAA games top out at 50GB, and this looks like a last-gen game.

I'm also wondering if this game is actually cross-play with the Windows 10 edition as many sources report. It's definitely cross-buy, but I'm thinking that it can easily be confused with Play Anywhere, so that you would need to play on your PC to match with other PC users. Has anyone tried it?

I don't own it but remembered seeing it. It's odd that the xbox site it's not listed but here's the IGN article in case you didn't stumble upon it already.

Holy crap I got the Scavenger hunt to finally show complete! After going back and forth with Microsoft Support, they came back with the usual "clear your cache and cookies" line. I tried so many different routes (Bing app, Edge app, X1 app) that I wasn't optimistic. I went into Edge on my Xbox One and cleared them out, went back to the Rewards app, and proceeded to go through the scavenger hunt again and it was checked immediately after finishing.

For those who don't know how to clear your cache and cookies in Edge, go to the three dots at the top right of a browser window. Select Settings and then "Choose what to clear" under Clear browsing data. Check at least cookies and cache and then select clear.

Hope that may help those of you with the same problem!

I just downloaded Edge on my phone, and that scavenger hunt finally completed for me. The light is at the end of the tunnel for this disaster of a promo lol. Only 10 more days of logging in because those decided to work for me finally.

I have several games on XB1 that are 60+ GB, so it's not that big. Lots of audio files for various languages and video can easily cause file sizes to balloon up.

Yeah scavenger hunt worked for me too but I doubt it lol get the points or the gamepass after it’s complete anyway since I’ve gotten nothing so far but I guess we’ll see after 15 more days of logins.

What car are people using in FH4 for speed traps? Thought I saw an in expensive car recommend here. Also what car are people using for those crazy jumps you have to do to get the 5000 boards up high?

For speed traps I use the Koenigsegg Agera. And depending on the boards I'll use the Ariel Nomad or the Suburu WRX or the Agera again

I owned Mark of the Ninja on Steam, but it came up free for me on Xbox as well. I'll take it!

Working for me as well, I wonder if they'll revoke licenses. Says I purchased it in 2012 based on the 360 version.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
How does that even work? Owning it on Steam, gives you a free Xbox One version? :???:

FYI - The Bad Lands increase Gamer Score 250 points checked off as completed for me. Only thing left is to log in for 15 more days.

No, pretty sure it was free for all by mistake. Only worked on consoles though. Had a friend try on xbox.com no luck.

I looked it up on the Microsoft store while logged in. it showed up that I owned it, gave me the option to install it and it worked. I haven’t booted the game up though to see if there is some error though.

Ah, thought I had heard two when driving around in FH4. Actually would have made sense being partly in Scotland and all.
I was surprised they only got the 1, since there were 2 in FH3 and they had a new album out. But I had Horizon Pulse cycle through 3-4 times this past weekend, just in there the once. And I just finished the FH3 Forzathon, had Bury It and Clearest Blue cycle through. Damn T-Rex Tear Up in the Hot Wheels DLC. Or more like the AI cars that can take those circles super tight at full speed while I'm stuck drifting out to wider turns. Usually drop to an A class if I have trouble, but the championship was for Hyper Cars, and I'd already done 2 of 3 races, so I wasn't going to quit and blueprint an easier one.

Nice! Guess my friend must have tried after it was fixed.

can someone tell me the control scheme for Rogue Stormers. And if there is an option to remap buttons.
It's a twin stick shooter, so left stick is movement and right stick is firing direction. The left trigger is jump and the right trigger is secondary fire. You can change the controls somewhat and set the A button to jump but the default controls work really well. It's a really addicting game.

Daily reminder to check the Redeem tab for the 50% off Xbox $5 card. I didn't get the offer until today, so try again if you haven't been able to get it earlier. It's in its own box separate from the usual Xbox gift card option, and the corner of it has it marked as a Hot Deal.

Thanks for this! My son's account didn't have the offer and he was pretty bummed. It's there now, though.

Pretty sure Chvrches have helped some women I know realize they were less straight than they thought, and I'll leave it at that. I really dig their 2nd record, until the other singer comes in. His voice is so boring by comparison, it kills the momentum of the album.

Kinda, sorta, only because that assault lawsuit kinda puts a huge damper on the music now.
Yeah. A lot of my clinical background is helping survivors of assault, so that hits a little too close to home. CC used to be some of my favorite study/productivity work, though.

An artist of the same vein that some of you might dig is Assemblage 23, it's a one-man act from a guy who used to be a guitar tech for Depeche Mode.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MorPAuceMJc

That record and Bruises are really good.

Also, Davey Havok's dance party side project Blaqk Audio is a guilty pleasure, their 3rd album is especially good.

I'll add my 2 cents about CHVRCHES. They did a really good cover of the band 1975 song Somebody Else for a UK radio show called Live Lounge. There is also an interesting article about how when someone played the original song 1975 song sped up it sounded like CHVRCHES, which people think was part of the reason they covered it.

https://www.spin.com/2018/03/chvrches-somebody-else-the-1975-cover/

I am also thinking about trading in my COD Advance Warfare 1 TB limited edition console to GameStop for an X. It says the base value was $90 on the website. So does that mean i will get a little more than the $200 for it? I picked up a TCL 4k TV a few weeks back and wanted to take advantage of it. Trying to decide if I should wait til BF. But I cant see the X going for below $400 with some sort of game bundle for BF.

For Chvrches, Martin does lead vocals on maybe one or two songs an album and I think he only has one song he does in the third album and does one duet kinda song and one full song and that's it. Though yeah, he kinda does disrupt the flow, but he's hardly there overall.

Also I love AFI (well, slightly less as time goes on with each album), but for some reason I couldn't get into Blaqk Audio. Then again I got into Greg Puciato of Dillinger Escape Plan's super dancey and synth heavy side project, Black Queen and I enjoyed the hell out of their first album so maybe I should revisit that since I kinda didn't know what to expect.

AFI is doing their best Cure impression, putting out 2-3 mediocre albums and then putting out a great one again (most recently, IMHO, with Burials ~5 years ago).

Re: BA, give their 3rd album a chance. The first one from 11 years ago (Cexcells) feels like they were trying too hard to be edgy, but Material is just really solid electronica. Davey also channels his inner diva and seems to revel in sounding like Cher now, which I'm okay with.

I’d say Chvrches third album, Love is Dead, is their best album. Not that I didn’t love their previous ones but their latest has so many good songs (many of which have already been singles) that it just is brilliant from start to finish.

I don’t mind the songs with Martin singing but they pale in comparison to everything else that they do feel out of place. That said he does sing very infrequently overall and the least on Love is Dead. The songs he does a duet on actually work well. It’s the ones he sings on his own that aren’t up to par.

Burials had like a handful of good songs, but it felt like for me they were a band that has strayed so far from their roots that I don't even know if it's them or me that has changed too much (though I still love Sing the Sorrow and greatly enjoy Decemberunderground). There was just a bit too much I guess angst for me to relate to now as a man in his 30's?

I'm intrigued now with your recommendation of BA on the basis that it was Cexcells that I picked up on a whim and wasn't impressed and never listened to their other stuff after because of it. I May listen to a few this week now I guess.

Also to slightly bring it back on the topic of games.

I Have so many fucking t-shirts, but...I think I want these.

It should be an even 200 for any base Xbox One, even if they're special edition I'm pretty sure. We've had what is probably all of the new and official X bundles for the holidays announced, and I kind of doubt we'll see much of a discount this this year, at best $50 off, plus whatever bonuses stores decide to add like a free additional game. Last year $50 off was the best deal on PS4 Pro.

If that Japan-only $50 price cut on the PS4 Pro comes to the west, then we could see a different story.

The fact that Gamestop has done this deal twice now means they're gathering as much used stock as possible before the rush, AND are wanting to clear out old SKUs of the X with non-relevant games. At $500 the X is a very hard sell to Christmas shoppers.
