Edit: Decided to get Pool Nation FX as well, I like billiards and it looks like a fun time killer. Bonus is that my mom can play it with me.

Just FYI.... just letters.... wont be delivered. Packages still being delivered. I know, im working

While the usps is federal, we are not like other agencies. We get zero tax $$ (not since 1980) so we have different rules. Volunteers that deliver packages tomorrow get an “admin day” down the road. A free day off of our choosing.

Just looked at the nominations for the Game Awards (sweet baby Buddha that name is so generic) and I'm pleasantly surprised to see Celeste (indie platformer) nominated in multiple categories, 4 total, including GOTY. Shovel Knight won in 2014 and I'm really glad they don't shy away from indie games being recognized. Maybe this means it will finally go on sale??

Also, with Spider-Man and God of War, many of the nominated games are Sony exclusives. FH4 has a nomination but that's about it.

I wonder if BC could be nominated as something....?

My neighbor is a stripper that dresses as a postman. He also says packages will be delivered tomorrow.

 
I fired up Sunset Overdrive for the first time in 2.5 years to try to get the odd achievement for the TA 12 Days of Christmas. I forgot all the controls right away and died about a minute into the mission. I think I will need to play a little more to get the hang of it again.

Thanks for the input on The Bureau, think I'll hold off on it at least until the day before it's not on sale. Picked up The Darkness though.

I took a quick peak at what I have and I think my top wants for BC are Deathspank 3, From Dust, Scott Pilgrim and Saboteur. I'd be happy with any of the stuff I already own going BC though.

I never got anything either. Weird that it was still there in November after the game was removed from gamepass.

The Bad Lands reward quest is just a straight-up joke with tracking. Of course, last day of the promotion and I have been stuck at 19/20 for 5 days. For the last 14 days, the tracker has been stuck for 8 of the 14 days. Nice job. I've been doing this 3-part quest since it started ... every day ... and couldn't complete it. To add insult to injury, I made it to the 1 yard line. There are still 17 hours left, so I guess there's always a chance that the tracker could still update. But I doubt it at this point.

Regretting getting Just Cause 4. The game just feels like a low budget title. Cut scenes in some 360 games look better than those in JC4. Controls are glitchy. Script is awful. I actually think JC3 with the updates it got over time is better.

I just got my first Xbox and I'm super excited. One series I've alway wanted to play is Gears of War. I saw there was a promotion where if you bought GoW 4 it came with codes for the first 3 GoW games. Is that promotion still available? Is there better way to purchase the whole series?

when you get to them. And yes I do think JC3 was crap at release and got much better after a bunch of patches. I played it recently on my XBox One X and it played much better then it did at release on my PS4. So hopefully they will get it straightened out eventually.

As far as I can tell, that was just a limited time promotion. It's not offered digitally anymore, and if you're buying Gears 4 physical you'd have to find a game that has box art that looks like this, with the indicator in the corner by the ESRB/PEGI label saying it has the codes for the older games. That won't be easy, though, as it would have to have been sitting on a shelf since 2016.

Other than that, your options are:

1.) Game Pass. All of the Gears games are available on there.

2.) Find somebody giving away/selling their codes for cheap. I've seen people in the past selling them for cheap in the Trading part of this forum.

As someone else mentioned, I would say go the Game Pass route. If you play more than a few games at a time or like having the variety, there’s a ton of different options on there, plus all the Gears games, as well as Halo games, and any future MS-published titles will be on there on release day. There should still be deals going for first time subscribers such as $1 for a month, or your system may have come with a 14 day trial. It goes on sale a lot, too, and if you come here people are always posting the deals when they show up, so you won’t have to worry about paying the full $9.99 per month most of the time.

I'm really angry about this too. How hard can it be to make an internet counter? Someone at Microsoft, a tech company which has existed for over forty years, should have mastered the ancient art of variable++ by now.

Anyway, I've asked Microsoft about this three times already, and they keep telling me to be patient, stalling until the clock runs out. It's no fun being carrot and sticked off a cliff.

So hey, I bought Pool Nation FX despite the warnings. It really must have improved since the launch, because at no point while playing it did I want to smash my television set or empty the contents of my stomach. Adjusting your aim is too hard (slower, slower!) and even the menu screen can be a pain (right thumbstick for adjusting settings? What crack-addled mind...?) but the actual pool seems solid. Pure Pool on PS4 seems better, though.

 
If you do want to actually own the older Gears games, it's probably worth checking your local game stores. All four 360s are usually really low priced, often below $5. All the games aside from Gears 2 have been GWG already so they probably won't be free in that way again, though MS has made stuff free a second time for special promotions, like Crackdown 1 was just free during X018. If you just want to play them once and move on then GamePass is enough. They're usually around 10 hours or so for a first playthrough.

If you're new to Gears you may want to skip Judgement. Story-wise it is worth a playthrough but they changed up a few major gameplay things and it didn't go over that well. Multiplayer is dead on pretty much everything but 4. Gears 3 usually only has two playlists populated enough to play anymore.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest since Aurora44 said it would come out this year and there are only 25 days left in the year. Also, I guess Ashen won't be part of the "Winter of Arcade" Chris Charla mentioned at X018.

Hopefully The Last Night gets a release date tomorrow or be part of the Winder of Arcade bundle that I believe will be announced tomorrow at TGA.

Need some router guru help. I have a at&t homebase zte 700a for home internet right now I have more devices then free ports for them to connect by wifi. If I get a archer c5400, can I run the homebase to the archer by cable and work? I'm getting mixed answers when googling.
