My main reason for getting the Gold edition was for the remaster sand the origins of the hidden blade dlc. You are correct how big the base game is. I wasn’t expecting so many timed daily quests there would be. I enjoy the game but Origins is my favorite since Black Flag and AC2 before that.

Sending my xbox x back in for repair for the same problem as last time. No display detected, tried different hdmi cables and TVs. Hope they actually fix it since the warranty runs out next month.

I agree but I usually do this when I am binge watching something on Netflix. I honestly have trouble doing one thing at a time. It's a problem.

 
Hoping maybe someone might know - Is Star Wars Battlefront 2015 still active on Xb1? I loved playing the game when it launched and actually preferred its gameplay to BF2 2017 and with it on sale for $5 I'm curious if it's worth picking up (I played primarily on PS4) or if it's completely dead to BF2.

You think it’s the Xbox and not the TV? Never had this issue on other TVs with the Xbox x.

TCL has many compatibility issues with Xbox One. With the 6 series I've had the over/under saturation problem, green screen, and white noise screen when I switch between hdr and standard games. The newest TCL patch released in Nov/Dec has lessened their occurrence considerably. Though I've never had a complete drop of signal

Have to disagree with this. Might be issues with the TCL 6 series and the Xbox One X. But I have literally had zero issues with my X1X and the TCL P607. Love my TV!

So I bought the 1X on Black Friday and have been making my way through a backlog, only to realize that I'm already using up most of the 1TB. Like, I have Halo 5 on disc, but just the update to it is 55GB? Pretty ridiculous.

What do you all use for external hard drives? How well do WD Greens or other mechanical drives operate with it? I don't want to keep hemorrhaging money buying hard drives to store patches for games that should've been more complete when they were released.

This is the reason I buy most games digitally for the XBox One. The discs are pretty much installers for the real game and require huge downloads before being playable. Might as well skip the discs and just download the games in my opinion. I have a Western Digital 10TB USB 3.0 self powered drive myself to store most of my games. I also have a Western Digital 512GB SSD drive for games with long load times. I don't even use the XBox One 1TB internal drive.

I use a Western Digital Easy Store 8TB for all my Xbox One games, and an older Seagate 5TB for all my 360 games. I only use the internal drive for apps and stuff.

I have 405 games between my two hard drives, though lately I've been having a problem with this.

For some reason over the last 2 or 3 weeks when I go to my games and apps it only says that I have 368 games including anything in ready to install. Sometimes like 8 or so of these games will all pop up to the top of the A-Z list as a vague green tile. If I do a simple reset it doesn't fix the issue but if I turn it off and unplug for a while then plug back in the games magically return.

Sometimes i can highlight the green tile game and it will display the name and then sometimes I have to click start, manage, and then I can see what the game is. Scroll down and yeah sure enough the game is missing from my list. Off the top of my head it seems like this is only happening with xbox one/western digital games and not anything 360/Seagate.

Is this happening to anyone else? Wondering if its a glitch introduced with latest patch or if i'm having an issue with my hard drive or system.

I think that is mostly forge stuff iirc.

Kinda wonder if that will get reworked like MCC and have the pick and choose what to install option down the line.

So...looks like I bought about 120 games this year. Here's hoping next year I can say things like "Hey! I Only need this Capcom game on just ONE console!" or "You know, I don't need a ninth normal controller for my XBox One!"

 
I've got a 4tb external, and my total storage available is finally under 1tb. Granted, Gamepass has swelled my holdings a bit, but I was still shocked to see it "that low".

Excited to play Celeste, bad timing though since I'm in the middle of God of War and it will probably get lost in the backlog.

For your information I just made a purchase on the XBox marketplace and I still got back my 10% rewards bonus.

 
I have 55 games installed between the internal 1tb and an external 1tb. I have no idea why you guys are installing past 2tb's, haha. It's not like the stuff you own will disappear.

Thanks for the link, I'll keep on the lookout for one at that price. $120 is a nice price point, think I paid $140 this past summer for the 8TB I store movies on.

Not so crazy when you have 10TBs of storage and you are buying games when they are on sale or getting them for free with GWG throughout the years.

What is crazy is not having the time to play these games any time soon and you keep purchasing them because you still have space ;)

Speaking of going all digital, I'm doing the same thing. I recently sold my copy of RDR1 GOTY. Is it worth it to buy the undead pack for an extra $10 ($20 total)? Trying hard to resist $10 for the GOTY version. I won't be doing any multiplayer?

That is like telling a physical media collector to not display their collection, they could easily have everything inside plastic containers or in a storage room somewhere close by and just get them when they "need" them.

The point is having all of them available, have the collection available and being able to look at the backlog to not play them...

Celeste has won GOTY by several sites and is one of the highest rated games this year.

Right now It's 4th with 4 wins behind Spider Man, RDR2 and God of War. It's literally in elite company.

GWG has been pretty decent but offering Celeste is pretty damn huge.

To be honest I would not buy it unless it was on sale for $5 so being GWG was good by saving me money.

Still somewhat active, especially compared to BF2. Multiplayer usually fills up more in BF1 than BF2 most of the time on XB1. Don't know if it's due Gamestop selling it for $3 used or people just preferring the original game over the crap they pulled in BF2. I do have to say that BF2 is decent since they started adding the Clone Wars stuff and fixing the bugs.

It sold over 500,000 units, which is pretty damn good for an indie game.

The speed increase can be pretty dramatic. I did a quick test on forza horizon 4 after getting my external SSD setup. I did a hard reset before each test and if my memory is correct the internal HD took a little under 3 minutes to get into the game and the SSD a little under 1 minute.

There's some youtube videos where people have tested it out and timed it on other games.

I've really been enjoying Mutant Year Zero. I recently unlocked a new character that's a shit talking fox lady. Not a foxy lady, but an anthropomorphic fox of the female variety. It should be annoying that she comments everytime she takes a shot, but she's got a British accent so it's all good.
