Not sure if this has been discussed but saw this on Reddit, think this game will be any good, Grand Tour? Amazon has it on pre-order for $29.99 for both PS4 and Xbox One, but Microsoft has it for $14.99. Not sure if they just know about a price drop because it is blah, or it is a mistake?

It showed $29.99 yesterday. 50% price drop before launch is a bit unusual. The game might just suck!

Edit: apparently it has local multiplayer splitscreen, is episodic with new things each week that relate to the show, and one of the modes has power ups "like" Mario Kart.

There are a bunch of previews out there about this. The common theme was that it’s an interesting idea but what they played so far wasn’t all that hot. It is made by staffers from last Burnout and Need for Speed games though.

Its one game I played on XBox that I couldnt put down. Well there are few others but nothing as awesome as Ori. I'm glad I bought it full price - both the vanilla and the upgrade. My only issue is, I shouldve bought it day one. :)

I fixed that with cuphead, except I have played it may be once. :whistle2:

I have a buddy that's a huge car / racing fan. Is there a way to gift him a pre-order? I'm on mobile right now but didn't see the option.

Was looking at this again because I was on the fence. The thing that worries me is that the one on the Xbox site that is $14.99 has a + next to it for in-app purchases. The one on PSN does not say it has IAPs. I wonder if the XBL version isn’t the whole game.

This game is sure to be blah. Does anyone remember the Top Gear integration into Forza? Wasn't that pretty disappointing? Won't this be even worse since it's a full game with no Forza behind it?

I don't think it'll be any different from any other racing game. It might actually be worse than Forza.

It's not that the IP isn't good, it's just that the shows (Top Gear and Grand Tour) are an experience in their entirety. You watch them to experience the trio driving fast cars in crazy scenarios, ribbing each other and failing miserably along the way. Jeremy, James, and Hammond make the show. Top Gear UK and US use the same formula, but they aren't nearly as good. I don't think it'll translate over, especially for fans who've watched the episodes several times waiting for season 3.

I absolutely love the show, but I won't buy this until it hits $5.

Uh oh, MotoGP 14 has its own Picture w/ 90% off on the Xbox 360 countdown, but it won’t bring up screen. No buy option on Xbox.com. They delist games during sales? Lol

Hard to say on Grand Tour, I would recommend keeping expectations low. It's the first console game coming out from Amazon Game Studios, until now they've only had Apps released on Amazon's mobile platform.

There has been a lot of buzz about this studio over the years but so far none of the games they've announced have actually released and at least one of them has been cancelled. They scooped up a lot of talent over the last few years but some left before anything came out, like Kim Swift who was lead on Portal.

Looking into The Grand Tour Game, this is actually the first game coming from Amazon Game Studios Seattle. The only name I can find is creative director Craig Sullivan, but he does have a pedigree in racing games, mostly Need For Speed and some Burnout stuff.

After much thought, I think I'll be picking up Overcooked 2 from the sale tonight. My family and I loved the first one, and it didn't even end my marriage, so bonus. Although, now that I think about it, the first one did go GWG, which means the possibility of the second one doing the same is likely at some point. Damn indecisiveness.
 
Just bought a turtle beach 600 wireless head set... anything special I should know?

They seem to work pretty damn good to me so far...read some review complaining about sound not being loud enough but they seem plenty loud for me...

I registered a couple days ago just to reply to this... Hi people! I had to "get" the free Season 2 Prologue from the store and download it before the legacy pack would unlock for me. Not sure if the same issue for you.

 
If we get any BC games this week, I predict one or more of the Lost Planet games.

EDIT - I forget it's already Thursday.  I guess I mean any games next week, other than the one that's already been announced.

Is this only for PC/mobile? The website pushes me to buy the game, and I can't find them in the marketplace in-game on xbox.

*edit* Found in the standard version, but not on Xbox One Ed. *edit the second* Oh, maybe that has to do with this popup about how that version is no longer updated.
