Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.

Ticket to Ride is only single player and they stripped all the content away to sell as dlc and going by the reviews on the store page people are pissed.

Hopefully this doesn’t become a tactic of developers who put their games on gamepass.

Never played it before but figured I’d give it a shot.

Also I just got 25 notifications on my Xbox to finish my weekly quest, they stopped popping up after I finished my 50th bing search.

This might have already been mentioned, but Doom is showing as $5.99 for the next 21 hours.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/doom/c3qh42wrgm3r?activetab=pivot:eek:verviewtab

I already have the disc version installed on my Xbox One.  If I buy the digital, does that automatically unlock the game to play on my console, or will I have to redownload the game?  I know that when you go digital on PlayStation 4, you have to redownload the game even if the disc version of the game is already installed.

Always unlocks for me. Might have to download a patch\update but I usually end up seamlessly playing, just like a disc to gamepass title

Strange to see but The Last Remnant remastered came out on mobile today. JRPGs actually work pretty well on mobile but not sure I want to pluck $20 down on it.

Strange.  I don't seem to get all the emails that others do from Microsoft.com.  The other day someone said to visit the site in incognito mode to trigger the box asking for your email.  I did that.  Didn't work for me.  Today I go to see if I had Doom or not and get the popup.  Hopefully going forward I will get some of these emails I seem to be missing out on currently.

Android or iOS? I can't seem to find it in the Google Play store.
Know it’s out on iOS and thought it was supposed to be on GP as well. It was announced for both.

I wish it had been Lost Odyssey that had gotten the port. That’s the best of those SE 360 exclusive games IMO. I may have spent $20 to have that on the go, but not this one.

I've only done days 1 and 2 so far. My weekend gaming was mostly spent completing objectives in the Gears 5 tour before the new operation rolled out today. Finished 2/3 of the medals, could've gotten a few more if I felt like it, but I don't think I would've finished the categories to get the reward they were in.
I'm only planning on leveling up this tour to Master Sergeant to get the Classic Kait skin.

This is the "real" Classic Kait skin right, where she's in Anya's armor? They gave the previous Classic Kait skin a different name?

Today's difficulty-specific challenge is a doozy. I'm looking at my list of suggested achievements and it's all "Finish the game on X difficulty" stuff. Not exactly quick.

Has anyone else downloaded Ticket to Ride from Gamepass? I can’t find multiplayer on it, only solo mode. I unlocked 4 achievements in solo mode and the in game achievements shows them but they didn’t pop in my xbox.
Sounds like you need a hard reset. I was having the same problem.

I was running I think 4 accounts at one time. I got greedy and got busted. All accounts were banned and only got my main account off the hook after they changed Xbox live rewards into Microsoft rewards and asked customer support nicely to please lift the ban.

Good luck to you if you decide to try 3. Hope it goes better for you than it did me.
I just had this happen a couple weeks ago they said I had too many accounts in my name and may have accidentally made some of them so I just went with that but thankfully I got my main account back I do miss the 5,000 points a month I was able to send my main. If you do try and make 3 make sure they're all in different names I think each household can have 5 accounts but it cant be 5 for the same name.

The 360 BC version looks better anyway

There are some pretty easy ones from the new Halo Reach DLC if you have any interest in that. There are datapads on every level that only show up if you play on Legendary and each one has it's own achievement for difficulty. There is about 3 or 4 of them that you can get from choosing the right rally point without too much resistance and 3 you can basically run right at.

Anyone know if you have to have Xbox Live Gold to get the deals for Game Awards?

You don't need gold

Looks like Xbox Live is down for a lot of people. Can't sign in on Xbox One or 360.

edit- Looks like it's returning back to normal.

I looked at the achievement list on TA for Subnautica. Saw that the getting the first one is easy enough. Popping a second is definitely going to take some effort as they will require a decent amount of playing time to unlock.

I wish the standard version of Madden 20 was on sale. I had a disc copy reserved at Redbox last week when it was on sale for $25. Got to selected kiosk only to find a person or persons set it on fire in a deranged attempt to try and rob it. Chatted with their CS and was able to get a refund.

I spent some time playing last night and definitely ran into that. Dying of thirst is a big problem. I'm starting to figure out where all the types of resources come from though, but still haven't found salt so I can make bleach for water purification.

The GamePass quests are making me try out some stuff I otherwise might not have - but they are also distracting me from playing AC Odyssey. :p

I though 2nd one was pretty easy to get.

have an easy spot I can find gold?

I haven't dedicated this much time to 200 points ever

frustrating

Should I have concerns ordering a year of EA Access through CDKeys? Deal seems too hood to be true, 12 months for $25?!?!
Like others, I've had no issues with cdkeys. If it makes you feel better, Newegg has had codes for that price in the past. I think the lowest I've seen it is $22 and change from cdkeys.

I'll have to check it out then. Knowing me a may rage quit a few times, lol.
it's not for me

the first is nearly instant the second is taking me hours

afaik the easiest after the first is to get a habitat build and build a habitat

it's just a lot of trying to find supplies which is frustrating af

When I saw it only had 17 achievements, I said, "Nope. Pass." I'll forego the 200 points. That said, I plan on checking it out at some point for funsies.

You can also convert the bladderfish to water in the synthesizer. These fish swim around close to the ship with the peepers.

Gold is a bit tough to come by, but the deeper caves sometimes reveal silver and gold when you break the sandstone outcroppings.

I like Subnautica quite a bit, but progression is only slow and steady.

I was also trying but I gave up. Not worth the 200 pts.

On another note, I'm getting reminders on my X1 that I still haven't completed my X1 Weekly Rewards Set but it sends me the message 5 times one after another. Thanks, for the reminder but space them out a bil.

Game Pass strikes again. I feel like I never actually buy games anymore, it's wonderful!

How's everyone feeling about this year's 12 Days of Christmas challenge on TA?
the one I've been stuck on the longest so far is the stupid 5 15's one. Who knew there was so few, So far so good though. I live how they're a bit mor abstract than last years as well

Every month on that subreddit, there's a post about the easiest ways to achieve the GP quests. The second achievement is this. Takes 15-20 minutes to get to the island and pick up the PDAs:

Seaside Living with an Ocean View - Dry land. This one requires finding and exploring Floater Island. When you first exit your lifeboat, you will see a huge crashed ship called the Aurora. Swim to approximately the halfway point between the lifeboat and the Aurora. Then, while looking at the Aurora, hang a right and head perpendicularly away. After a while of swimming when you are around 1000m from your lifeboat, you will be able to see an island in front of you. This island has three bases on it, one on each of the two tallest hills, and one in the valley between them. Head to the one in the valley, use the ladder to get downstairs, and pick up the two PDAs on the floor there. That should unlock the achievement. If it doesn't, visit each of the bases on the hills and pick up the PDAs inside those as well. Also watch out for the weird crab-like creatures that like to sneak up on you from behind. Source.

I’ll try that out. It’s a pretty game and I can see how it’s fun otherwise but playing it for the achievements is frustrating af. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have to come up for air so often.

I'm intrigued! Can't wait to try it out in probably two years when the complete edition is out and $20 and I have time.

lmao I manage to fail some more

first i did it and was all excited and nothing happened

then i thought shit maybe freedom mode doesn't get them so i redid it in survival and once again nothing happened....

then i realized there are 3 in the valley hull one is a little sneaky and it finally triggered, thanks so much

anyone playing for achievements for points 100% do this method so it doesn't ruin the game for you with frustration

I'd recommend if anyone wants to enjoy the game just count on getting this one easily down the road and just play the game without achievements in mind.

I wish the Metro Exodus expansion was on sale for Xbox as it is for Sony. Not sure why the Xbox version has been consistently higher in price in recent digital sales than the PS4 version.

As soon as you get out your ship. Swim left until you see an island with a big black mountain on it. Go left on the beach on the island and go up the beach trail on the mountain and you'll find a purple glyph, pick it up and go back down then keep going straight and you'll see a forcefield around a door. Use the purple glyph to turn the forcefield off. Then go inside until you find a green glyph. An achievement will unlock. Takes less than 5 minutes.

and now it's on to rage 2 issues

anyone know how to get it working when it never loads and insta errors? "rage 2 has stopped working"

appears to be very common but as usual the "fixes" are all over the place and aren't working

nvm that shit is annoying as hell I'll just re-dl it on the xbox

Maybe because the game itself is on GamePass so they’re thinking they’ll get more sales of the expansion at a higher price?

I’m sure there will be a Komplete edition for $20 two years from now. You won’t, however, have the time to play it
That reminds me, I bought Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition during the sale last month. Totally forgot about that. I look forward to not playing it by the time a Komplete Collection comes out.
