Here is a list of all the current and upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace Sales for the USA. This includes the Deal of the Week, KINECT Central sale item(s), and any other 3rd-party sales or promotions. We have also included the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade releases in the 2nd post. Most sales are for one week. Feel free to post if you see anything not listed here.

Often overlooked, GoD are by default displayed in dollars both on Xbox.com as well as on the console, but on the very-first confirmation screen of the download process is the option to use Microsoft Points in place of real-world currency.

Through the console, after first selecting to download a GoD you are greeted by a familiar gray confirmation screen that pops up displaying the size of the download as well as confirming the price. At the bottom of this gray pop-up is the instruction to press the "X button" in order to change the payment type to MSP. Pictured below with an arrow:

On Xbox.com they've made it much more obvious, the confirmation "extra step" pop-up after clicking the download link displays a link that simply says "Use Microsoft Points" directly under the price in dollars at the top of the page.

When I saw Major Nelson's post in my RSS reader my eyes lit up at the huge list. Then I read it and discovered I either own them all or they're games that don't interest me. I don't think that's a negative about the list, but speaks more to my tastes and existing collection, because there is a lot of good stuff there. Here's to hoping for some stuff I want to show up since he notes that those may only be some of the titles.

Same here, but I'll buy RE code Veronica. It has to look better than on my Dreamcast. Hopefully it's 50% off.

My first thought is none of the games will be compatible with the new Xbox, so they are selling off as much as they can before any announcements are made? I hope this isn't true...

Same thing here, but then again I don't think they'll disappear from your account even if you associate it to their next-gen console and I don't plan to buy a new one either before at least 2-3 years from launch, so the more the merrier... the real problem is being able to find enough time to play all my humongous backlog... :cry:
 
That's a mighty impressive list. I already own most of these games but I might pick up a few in digital format if the price is right. I agree with the posters above, this strongly hints at no BC for Xbox720.

It's "up to" 75% off. Everybody thinking it's a firesale and making wild conjectures about what it might mean in regards to the next generation console are likely to be quite disappointed when they realize that two games on the list are 75% off, which is still more than Amazon sells them for in disc form, and the rest of the list is 10% off (ok, maybe that is an exaggeration the other direction, but I feel justified).

I'll be happy with just a 50% off Code: Veronica, since AFAIK is a digital download only and never saw a proper disc release. Other than that, I'm more than prepared to meltdowns, but who knows... maybe they'll price mistake everything at 5$ :cool:
 
My hard drive is already full to bursting. Gonna have to be some extraordinarily cheap games (like, $5 range) for me to want stuff on GOD rather than disk.
 
Got RE4 on the last sale, so I'm tempted to pick up Code Veronica. Although I own the Dreamcast and PS2 versions, so I'm not sure yet. ;)
 
I'm in for RE4 and Code Veronica if they're 50% off, and I'm on it like stink on shit if they're 75% off. Does anyone know if any other games on that list are GoD-exclusive? No Deathsmiles II markdown, alas.

Just looking at Wikipedia, I'm surprised how many games have been removed from GoD.

Just buy a used copy. It would be way cheaper to do that. Last time I checked the GOD price of NG2 was $40 and that was A MONTH AGO.
 
I actually hope RE4 and RE:CV are barely on sale since I just bought the RE6 Archives set through the Lightning Deal on Tuesday in part since they've never been on sale. It's my karma though and they'll probably be at least 50% off. You all can thank me later.

I actually own a copy of the game since release. I just like to have some games on my HDD so I can play them whenever I'm in the mood for them without having to take out my current game.
 
ok i have a question about CV : X . is it HD remastered ? and has it gone on sale before and how much? thank you . i have a ps2 copy but i dont want to open it.

Yes it has been on sale before, I want to say it was like $13, sale only lasted a day.

RE4 has been on sale. I want to say it was half off.

Edit: I bought it for 800 points on Oct. 23, 2012.

They'll probably have one or two games at 75-85%, and they don't want people to complain that there's so little selection at 85%, so they worded it like that.
 
Looks like I might pick up The Orange Box if the price is right. Other than that, I already have everything or not very interested in. Guess everything will just depend on the prices.
 
God dang that looks like a nice sale (if they price stuff right). I don't expect to see games like Halo 4 or Borderlands 2 going close to 75% but it still seems like a nice sale.

I don't know if I'm picking anything up but seeing this makes me wonder if the next Xbox won't carry over digital purchases (like what the PS4 is doing).

My mistake. I obviously missed that and then people in the RE6 Lightning Deal thread were commenting about it never being on sale which convinced me I was right. :lol:
 
Hoping for one game that I don't already have being in the $5-$7.50 range. Hopefully Borderlands, Halo Wars, or RE4. That's not too lofty of a goal, is it?

EDIT: Kind of wish the original Crysis would have popped up on that list, too.

Well, the question is if the NextBox will be able to play 360 games at all or not, on disc or GoD doesn't matter. So I'd say go for it if you can raise some extra money from selling physical copies, the worst it can happen is that you'll keep them on your 360 HDD... plus, if your discs snap or become unreadable you're pretty much frakked, while in theory you should be able to re-download GoDs as long as Microsoft's servers are up :)

I'm just glad it's not the DotW as I'm still hoping for Forza DLC to go on sale.

I Crazy hope KoF13 goes on sale for 800 points.

I Also can't wait when the sale hits and the amount of claims by people saying you can't buy GoD with MS points.

I believe the Nextbox720 will be fully backwards compatible with all 360 content. It just might be Microsoft's ace in the hole, so to speak. Regardless, I'm buying any GoD I like that are 75% off.

Right? Everything on there I either played, own, or would rather buy a used complete edition.

But I would love to see Crysis make the list, I'd bite hard on that.
