Through the console, after first selecting to download a GoD you are greeted by a familiar gray confirmation screen that pops up displaying the size of the download as well as confirming the price. At the bottom of this gray pop-up is the instruction to press the "X button" in order to change the payment type to MSP. Pictured below with an arrow:

So apparently the line to play Ducktales at PAX is 6-plus hours long b/c Capcom only has 1 demo machine up thinking it wasn't going to be that popular.

Not that I'm complaining but why is another Games on Demand sale happening so soon? Were the sales so good last time that they finally realized that games would sell if reasonably priced, or is it a last ditch effort to move some 360 product before the next console arrives?
I actually would buy horse armor for Skyrim. Because they would make it worth while this time. They've learned, besides I'm such a fan they could almost sell me anything at this point.
if I remember correctly, they doubled the price of it one year for april fools, I thought it was pretty hilarious, I hope they do something similar this year.

off topic comment...... but uhh... why does everyone want horse armor so bad... ?

i just use the horse i got from The Dark Brotherhood, Shadowmere, i know he can die, and he takes 10days to regen... but he has a ton of hp and it regens really fast.... i've never had him die personally, and he often is taking 100% of damage from a dragon while i'm safely killing it....

Finally a sale for Dragonborn.

I'll probably get it, but it will be hard playing on Xbox again after being spoiled by Mods on PC Skyrim. Easily the best game enhanced by mods I have ever played.

If the next Xbox had something on the simple side of Mod integration / management like Steam's Workshop, I'd be in love.

If you only get one of the Dead Rising Arcade games, get Case Zero, It doesn't take as long if you are achievement hunting and I thought it was a damn good introduction to the changes in mechanics from the first Dead Rising. Case West is okay, but far more time consuming from a completionist's point of view. And if you really want a full dose of Frank, Off the Record on disc would probably be money better spent.

I'm downloading the demo for Just Cause 2, but which games are considered its peers? Since I don't spend a lot of time in this genre, I don't want to waste a lot of time playing lesser games when I could be playing the pinnacle of its type.

Best horse IMHO is the spectral reward horse from DG expansion. You summon him and then he goes away when you are done with him, I hate horses getting in the way of my entertainment unless they are Budweiser Clydesdales kicking field goals.

GTA San Andreas
Just Cause
Saints Row 2
Saints Row 3
To a lesser extent: Crackdown 1 and 2.

Thats about all I got.

I see it as a subgenre of sandbox where the main objective is to be as MacGvyer-ish as possible in the dispatching of your enemies. Use a gun as the last resort.

Edit: I also have a feverish desire to see a well polished Just Cause 3 be a launch title for PS4 / Xbox 720 or both. It would be at least 2 player co-op and add better environmental destruction.

Mercenaries 1 and 2 are the closest thing I can think of. Military-themed, open-world mayhem.

Maybe a dash of Saint's Row just because that series is so over the top.
I have to admit... this actually made me a little teary with nostalgic-joy.

Then I read the Capcom Blog and felt a pang of doubt/dread.
The doubt/dread hit me when I heard they were charging $15 for it. Additional areas would make the price more palatable. I also thought, at that price, DuckTales 2 might've been part of the package (never played that one).

Mercenaries 1 is one of the best games in its genre. The second game should be avoided.

Including the second one would be a nice touch, I also haven't played it.

I'd say Crackdown is the closest peer for Just Cause 2 in the sandbox genre this generation. Mercenaries might be a close peer, but I've only heard bad things about the sequel and the first is from the last generation.

Both are very reliant upon you exploring the world to find objectives to conquer that help you power up. Instead of the orbs and bosses of Crackdown, Just Cause 2 has the villages that you have to liberate by blowing up the oppressive items in the town, like water towers, propaganda trucks, and other things that show up in red that add to your Chaos that will open up new weapons, vehicles, and such that you can purchase in the black market. There are also a ton of collectibles as the three main gangs have items scattered about to find along with health and shield pick-ups to collect to increase your health and shield.

Just Cause 2 is easily the best sandbox game of this generation. It looks amazing, the world is huge and full of things to do, and it's a hell of a lot of fun to play. I've spent nearly 70 hours in the PS3 version maybe getting to 60% completion since I've still got a lot to do. The navigation with the grapple hook and parachute is a favorite of mine across the genre.

Exactly! God I had a blast with that 1st one, 2nd one was a total letdown. Booo!!!!!
Woooooo Terraria on Wednesday!

You shouldn't pay 1200 for that.

It has to be my most anticipated XBLA release this year next to DuckTales and BattleBlock Theater. I wished it was 800msp but im still gonna pay the 1200msp on Wed. I cant wait.

I already have it on Steam, played through it, and I want to see the new features in the XBLA version.

I put many hours into that game, I don't mind 1200 for this. It's like that rare occasion where I KNOW it's worth it to me even at full price, i.e. Spelunky, Counter-Strike, and Scott Pilgrim off my head.

I dont mind paying the price because of its replay value its one of those games were you can keep play and never get bored like Minecraft I payed $20 and dont regret it becausr I have put over 100 hours on that game.

Because I want my horses to look badass...and take a ton of hp.

Haha this topic reminds me of constantly killing my red dead redemption horses all the time while in the gun fight. Pow! Right in the head. What horse walks into a gunfight? Annoying yet hilarious at the same time.

I will also be picking up Terraria on Wednesday - 1200 spacebucks is a bargain for a game with that kind of replay value, assuming the port doesn't end up riddled with bugs. I'm not expecting that, but I'll probably consult a review or two prior to purchase.

One game I have not seen mentioned yet is Far Cry 3. I know it is not the over the top style open world game like the others mention, but my God, I love this game. Tons of side quests/mission type things to do between hunting for mats, liberating strongholds, headhunting and hunting quests, sidequests, and then there is the story to. Tons of content and honestly, i have not put this much time into a game of this sort since Skyrim.
I already have it on Steam, played through it, and I want to see the new features in the XBLA version.
This is me. I played the Steam version for around 80 hours and can't wait to try the xbox version.
Which is the better DLC for Skyrim? Dawnguard or Dragonborn? Are they going to release more DLC?
If there's ever been an announcement about anything beyond Dragonborn, I missed it.

Of the two Dragonborn is certainly more ambitious but I really love the introduction of crossbows with Dawnguard.

EDIT - and yes, Mercenaries 2 is within my top 5 biggest disappointments this generation and possibly of all gaming-time.

Terraria is 2,49€ in steam right now (dunno how much in the US page, maybe $4?), it's a pity I don't use the PC to play :(

That said, I will get it on Xbox once it hits 600 or 400 msp.

Its 2.49$ at the moment. Indie Game Sale.

Fuzzy memory since there were so many Dead Rising 2 releases...Case Zero and Case West are totally different, right? Just want to make sure it's not a DR2/DR2 Off The Record situation where it's almost the same thing with a different character.

Yes, that is right. Case Zero is a prequel to DR2, and Case West is an epilogue type story that appears to be setting up DR3 (hopefully).

Nice, thanks. Will probably get them both then. Plus my Kmart has a 10 dollar copy of Off the Record which is kind of tempting.

Well definitely going to pick up the Dragonborn for Skyrim to round off the DLC I have for it. But why o why couldn't they put up the Super Complete Costume pack for SSFIV as well?
Which is the better DLC for Skyrim? Dawnguard or Dragonborn? Are they going to release more DLC?
Dragonborn is the "better" DLC, but why not get both? They do plan on releasing more but it is unknown how many. Hopefully more than just one!

I'm planning on buying it as well. It's a really fun game.
I'm also looking forward to the new update that's in the works for the PC version.

i don't understand the DR arcade games on sale. Could someone compare them to the first game for me? (only played the first, never got the second game). Are they like, set in an open world place like 1?? Because that setting is quite large...But i just can't see dead rising not open world? Are they worth it or just for completionists?

Been saving some points for some quality arcade game to keep me busy for hours and it looks like it'll be that game this week! :)

Terraria here i come!

Case Zero takes place in a small town and your free to go anywhere in that small town go to stores, casino, etc. In Case West you are in a semi large Factory were you can roam around as you like. In my opinion both games are great and for those prices even better. Also if your into Achievement hunting Case Zero has an easy 200/200 and Case West has like 3 achievements that might take you a bit longer.

Case Zero has you play in a town for the main character from Dead Rising 2, Chuck. Without giving too much away you have to "build" your way out while at the same time ve your daughter Zombrex in order to prevent her from going full on zombie. The town is a decent size and the game can last you any where from 3-8+ hours depending if you want to do everything.

Case West has you play with Frank and Chuck in a factory. I haven't bought it but from what I recall it does take place after DR2. The factory is a bit bigger if not the same size as the town in Case Zero. It also has CO-OP.

Both are well worth it. In your case buy CZ, then find DR2 for SUPER cheap and play it.

Question- DR2:OTR takes place in a different story line or after DR2. I've been meanign to buy the game for the longest, but with this damn backlog I haven't yet.

Case zero also allows you to import your character into DR2 up to level 5.

OTR is during the events of DR2 but from Franks perspective. I think the story is different enough to play through though. It has a new area also and a free roam mode that does not have the timer.
Question- DR2:OTR takes place in a different story line or after DR2. Same time period as DR2, but plays out differently.

The Walking Dead for $10? Is there any difference between this and the retail version beyond it being digital? If not, I'm grabbing it. And $10 for Dragonborn is a definite for me; got 2300 points to burn lol.

It's the same and somewhat less buggy.

I've heard of some issues/glitches relating to the retail version to the point TellTale apologized by giving everyone who bought the disc version with codes for the digital version.

Yep. Another thing to mention about Case Zero is that you can build a few levels on Chuck and import that into DR2, giving you a little head start. The city is open roam, maybe the size of a sub-section of the mall (for reference to DR1 for those who haven't played beyond).

Case West builds off one of the endings. Staying spoiler free, don't worry. Both DR games have "S" endings where if you meet certain story conditions, there is an extra bit of story/game (called "Overtime Mode"). In DR1, this is the general "canon" ending, and at first appeared to be for DR2 as well. But Case West build from the "A" ending, bringing together the protagonists from both games. They team up in Case West and the story builds towards making DR3, so right now that is considered the canon story.

DR2: Off the record is a "what if?" type of story. In it, Frank takes a different path post DR1 and ends up as the main playable character of DR2. Haven't done that one either, but I do know it's a completely different non-canon story. Basically made due to the fan reaction/backlash of wanting to continue playing as Frank in DR2. People didn't dislike Chuck, but Frank's popularity just soared (thus him being in things like MvC3) so they were surprised that the sequel had a new character.

If anyone is interested in co-op for DR2 or DR:CW, send me a message on XBL.

Bongfish on Twitter (@bongfish) is sending codes for their Crashed Ice Kinect XBLA game to new followers. I had to send them a message requesting one, so you may wish to do that as soon as you follow them. Not sure how long they'll do this, or how many codes they'll give away in total.

I bought it for 160 MSP a few weeks back and have had fun with it, so I'd definitely recommend it for free.
