Off topic: bought Stardew Valley when it went on sale like last week and been playing it.  Half way done with Winter season now, just wondering, the seasons just repeats along with events forever right?  There were times I didn't have enough coin to purchase some seasonal rare items, so I'll probably just scoop it up when the season comes back around.

Based on what I heard from friends and something I found in game the seasons repeat at least three times.

Killer Instinct is the most confusing game ever when it comes to what the hell do I even own..... Dead or Alive 5 could be confusing maybe but I just own all the free stuff and none of the 800 dlcs

 
Finished Bioshock via the collection this afternoon. The remaster is great, it looks wonderful and plays just as it should. It would have benefited from some slight changes, though, like adding a more comprehensive way of tracking audio logs and research. I did the camera stuff a little obsessively and managed to max it all out before encountering Andrew Ryan. Keeping with my arbitrary goal of upping my GS before the fall semester, I got 1050GS on a single playthrough, which is pretty great. I think my meaningless goal is 30k, I'm at ~22k and some change right now.

The load times, though. Without chambers on, dying can mean waiting 30-45 seconds before you're back in. I'd hope a port of a 10 year old game would load quicker, but it's otherwise so good that I can deal with it. I started BS2 and it's a bit snappier, but it also kicks you back to the title screen every time you die.

Bought Tachyon Project for the achievements but it turns out to be a decent twin stick shooter.  Nothing amazing but they try to add a little story to the game and I like the time is life mechanic.  You can mess up a little without dying instantly.

So I updated Killer Instinct, booted up the game, and....The update wiped ALL my shit.

All my gold, crafting materials, shards, items I'd already crafted in Shadow Lords....all of it gone. I'm very, very angry right now. A years worth of gold and other items just gone.
 
Just renewed via XBL for a 3 month gold for the 40% off offer...thing is, it gave me 4 months. I had till the end of the month on my current subscription (used the $1 month last time).

My 4 month trial for Groove Music ended and then I grabbed a 14 day trial for it again. I only really use the paid part to steam my own music in Forza Horizon 3. Then I see on the dash the same get a 4 month trial of Groove Music. Sob, I went with the 14 day option. Just not my day today!

Looking into the TB XO Seven Pros, although I'll still send in my support ticket on my Elite 800X. At least see what price it'll be too repair these things. The XO Seven Pros have basically almost all the same features the Elite 800X has yet they're $80 on TB's website via special offer.

I have the seven pro. They're a step down from the 420x and the 420x is a step down from the 800x. If you want a wired headset then the seven is great. It doesn't have 7.1 or even 5.1 surround sound but it's definitely comfortable. Pleather ear cups over memory foam like padding unlike the XO four fabric ear cups over foam. Detachable mix boom is convenient when not in party chat. It's basically a upgrade of the x12 with some extra premium features missing from the XO four.
 
I had enough of Turtle Beach when I had to keep buying extra wires for years for them cause they kept shorting out and then my last pair cracked in half by the ear cup somehow without me ever noticing how it happened, then I seen others had them crack too so I bought the Xbox stereo headset a few years ago when they had that glitch for $10 and they lasted a year before the mic stopped working so I said fuck it and bought some skull candy headphones from Ross that had a mic and have had no issues since(other than they're the Kobe editions smh).

I just beat Shantae but it took me 12 hrs total for 1000gs it's worth the time and fun game especially if you enjoy metroidvania games.I also 1000gs Brothers a tale of 2 brothers last night in 2 hrs.

Lack of 4K hasn't stopped there being massively large downloads, so that won't change much.

Yeah thanks, it's gonna be hard to downgrade and loose that 7.1 surround sound and wireless ability. Here's hoping support can do something for me.

Yeah it broke right next to the ear cup and yeah I didn't know when it happened either until the cans weren't resting on my head anymore.
 
I have about $9 Microsoft credit expiring (from Bing) in my account on Sunday. If I use my Microsoft account balance to preorder, say Cuphead, will those expiring credits apply toward that or would I lose them after Sunday anyway?

I want to say you should be fine, as long as you don't cancel the pre-order. I know I had issues with a game I bought with expiring credit. The game would not launch after I switched from Win 8 to Win 10. CS refunded me the money for my purchase and I got squat out of it because the credit had expired by then. I also never lost the license and was eventually able to launch the game so, no blood no foul situation?
