Awful sale. Want Watch Dogs 2 but not at those prices. Maybe BF1 if it was cheaper, but thanks to my cheap friends here..... I broke down and got EA Access, so it will go there eventually. Sonic and Knuckles combines fine with Sonic 2 and 3 on 360, when you own either combination my understanding is it just shows up as an option. I assume the same is true playing on backwards compatibility but I'm not positive.

I cannot recommend the 360 retail Ghostbusters game enough to anyone even slightly interested in GB.

 
This new home button bringing up the guide is not preferred in this new dashboard update. I use to enjoy pressing the Home button while watching Netflix and I could still watch video at the home screen, not anymore.

Sonic All Stars is a pretty decent alternative to Mario Kart. Online was dead when I tried to play like 2 months ago though.

It didn't work for quite awhile but they said they fixed it with an update somewhat recently. Haven't checked myself. The workaround before was importing a 360 save with the "& Knuckles" content already recognized.

Just import it like I did. There's plenty of handy guides to navigate the menus. Should be pretty cheap now too.
 
I thought kingdom hearts 3 was cancelled on xbox one, I guess that was a leak though. Interested in some of the sonic games but not sure which I will actually pull the trigger on

 
Anyone give some strong pros for Jurassic Park The Game from personal experience?  Reviews are all over the map with trending more meh than good. 

 
FFXV sold well enough on Xbox, I think they'll still do an Xbone version for North America at least. Japan seems unlikely and Europe is a maybe. We probably won't actually know until E3 at the earliest though. Part one of the FF VII Remake is probably going to be out way before KH3, so maybe it's performance will matter too.

Well, it may not have the trademark stuff there but it's got a big ass Xbox One logo above it so I'd take that as a more positive sign than a little verbiage at the bottom. I've seen a lot of ads have that PS trademark crap. Think Sony may be more anal about it.

I Think E3 2018 is the earliest bestest case scenario you'll get anything solid at this rate if you read the Silconera interview.

FFXV did well all things considered. But the internet sure hates hearing it sold anything on the X1.

I also read that Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't going to come till 2018 at earliest. I hope we get a surprise announcement for the holiday. My Amazon copy for $40 is not going anywhere at least.

I'm debating on day oneing Resident Evil 7 since It's getting amazing reviews and is play anywhere. But I got burned pretty bad with Dead Rising 4 when it was on sale just weeks after it came out. It's hard not to give into the hype.

Nothing jumping out at me with the sales this week outside of Bionic Commando games, but neither are BC and that makes it easier to ignore.

 
Beat Telltale Batman and Bloodforge today. Batman is a very good telltale game and a really good Batman story. Blood forge has a 42 on Metacritic which seems pretty harsh. It's definitely not great, but it was a fairly enjoyable action game. Would probably give it closer to a 65-70, 42 is like totally broken game territory which this wasn't at all.
 
Wish Resident Evil 7 was like Halo Wars 2 where you could buy the "physical" PC version and still get both PC and X1.

Would be more apt to buy with the discounts with Prime or GCU for both.

I'm also getting skiddish about buying anything day one these days.

It's a good game. It was the first of Telltale's modern visual novel-type games, which is probably why the reviews are all over the place. It was a new kind of game for most people, and didn't have the amazing story and characters of The Walking Dead. Still, the story and characters are interesting and there's a little more to the gameplay than in the newer Telltale games. I'd recommend it, especially if you are a fan of Jurassic Park, Telltale, or both.

 
After being much more on a budget the last year than previously, I think it's well worth waiting a month on almost any $60 game you aren't dying to play the minute it comes out. Literally every game was on sale for at least $20 off within 4 to 6 weeks after launch, with some in as little as 2 weeks. The trade off is that you have a strong change of missing out on the zeitgeist of a game, when it has the most people discussing it, as well as being more susceptible to rouge spoilers. If your only gaming discussion is here on CAG you're probably good, but if you like to discuss stuff on various forums it can be a bummer.

The only real exceptions are Nintendo games, and sometimes digital versions of games. The 20% savings of Amazon and Best Buy help soften the blow, but with this discount basically being permanent at BB it isn't the strongest case for buying at launch. Case in point for me was Dead Rising 4 for $24 within 3 weeks of launch.

Coming up soon we'll see if this theory holds up. Within 4 weeks of each other we have Halo Wars 2, Zelda, and Mass Effect releasing. I'll be picking up Zelda day one as it's the one I'm most excited for. I think by the time I'm really finished with it both HW2 and ME will both be available for $40.

 
Yeah I'm sure storeparser could track what was on sale, but the only games off the top of my head that were out in 2016 not to go on sale: (DIGITAL SALES ONLY OBVIOUSLY)

I'm pretty sure Witcher 3 DLC was on some kind of sale during the Christmas sale.

I guess I'm grabbing Sonic the Fighters, it's the only one I don't have that looks like it might be fun for a night or something. I'll just continue to pass on Sonic 4 forever. I don't understand how Unleashed was delisted and 4 wasn't. I guess 70 Metacritic was their arbitrary cut off when killing "bad" Sonic games.
