I just can't get into Grand Theft Auto. The most I played thru was Vice City, but after a while it was too too damn hard (I have more fun playing the radio). I have yet to play GTA IV but I have the feeling I'll have the same experience.

Saints Row, on the other hand, makes me happy.

Since Valentine's Day is next week, what will we get on Date Night?  Will Catherine put out for another week?

It makes sense in that its a "finished" game. GTA V is constantly getting updates and that's horrid for the 32GB sized Switch. Even with external memory, 3rd party devs know not to put as Ubisoft says, 'constantly live' games on the Switch. Destiny, Overwatch, The Division are all examples of live games that will never come out on that system. So a game that is single player and doesn't need as many updates(like LA Noire), would make sense on a Switch cartridge. I personally don't believe the rumor, but eh who knows

Any good sales on Xbox Live gold? I saved a couple trials but it doesn't let me apply them to my account for some reason. My gold expired today but it says I can't redeem a trial because I have gold.

Cell phone cheat codes.

About four hours in, I gave up on GTA4 back in the day. Then I read that there are cheat codes that the player can access from Niko's cell phone that do all kinds of neat things. At that point, I was set. I would give myself an amazing weapon load out and then go full-on Rambo into any hostile situation. If I neared death, I would simply enter in a code on the phone to get back full health. Lots of bad guys? I'd spawn body armor. In my head I even somehow role-played the awesomeness of Niko's magical phone; like it was Gazoo from Flintstones or something.

I completed the game on Xbox 360 - only after using cheat codes - and I finally understood why people love this franchise so much.

I just wish Nico hadn't devolved in to the standard GTA psychopath on the latter portions of the game.
 
I've never watched Dragonball Z, or any anime other than Afro Samurai and Attack on Titan but I'll check it out for free. 39 episodes in season 1!

I agree. He seems likeable enough in the beginning, but there's definitely a shift. Granted, that may be the point, the further people get into crime, the more despicable things they are capable of. It didn't matter in the early games because the story was so light - GTA III guy didn't even speak, so the mayhem was a lot more disconnected from any characterizations.

 
Good news about GTA IV. I have a physical copy from a really long time ago, but I've never played it. I'm attacking my backlog this year, so I'll try to play this sometime soon.

I had no interest in the game, but bought it for $4 a couple months ago with gamestop credit.
Still not interested really, but glad I beat the increase for the future

Which saints row makes you happy ? I some what enjoyed the first one until It got lost in the backlog. I was going to pick up SR4 on sale but watching trailer for SR3 really put me off. Huge purple dido really!? Does not seem like a series I can get into at all. And to be honest this Gen has spoiled me. I can't go back to last Gen graphics.

I can barely get into the gta series as is but gta v was fun the bit that I played.

It's been a long time since I've played it so I don't remember the exact plot points but I recall him being reluctant and conflicted and maybe that is the point that he lost that at some point. I feel like it was a fairly sudden shift though that wasn't backed up by anything but again it's been an age and a half. I don't know, it just seemed like they got to this point where they didn't know how to carry that forward.

For those wondering, this basically includes the base game on disc and a code for the Morrowind expansion (plus preorder and digital deluxe goodies.) There is a faq detailing the CE and other editions on the ESO website. This comes in handy cause I have ESO digitally on my Xbox One and will be updating my account with the Morrowind code so the disc will be useless for me.

I snagged a copy of Morrowind CE as well, thanks closedsocket! Hopefully these orders go through.

Is there a "cheap" way to score DLC songs for Dance Central Spotlight?  I know that any DLC you've purchased from previous versions will carry over, but was there a season pass or something for the old games?  If not, 1.99/song isn't too bad I guess.

 
GTA IV was the only GTA game I ever finished. I completed the main story and did most of the side missions. I enjoyed it, but it was enough to burn me out on its gameplay. I hope to play GTA V down the road but it still seems so daunting even though its been years since I finished GTA IV.

I'm pleased that GTA IV is BC now, the more the merrier, but I don't really see myself playing that game again. If I did it would just put me off from starting GTA V.

 
I saw a copy of GTA IV Platinum Hits for 360 at Target last night, but it scanned out of system and won't show up on Brickseek. Probably cheaper at Target than a preowned copy at GameStop.

The first time I played Saints Row 3, it was over co-op with a good friend. We accidentally played for nine hours and I was up till 3 or 4 a.m. Where GTA has gone for realism, Saints Row goes for over the top action and fun. I think Saints Row 3 made me enjoy GTA V a little bit less when it came out because Saints Row does so many things correct.

I think I actually have two copies over in storage. I couldn't even sell one for $3 at the flea market last year; now I'm glad nobody bought them. I also have a copy of Stuntman Ignition over there too, another I'm glad didn't sell. I just need to build up the motivation to go out in the snow and try to remember where the box of gaming stuff is.

SR3 was by far the best of them all. That's where it really became its own game, and not just a GTA clone. And then there's this:
