It's awful, BTW. I just say no to Lego games now. Have not enjoyed a single one of them.

I do enough wheeling and dealing for xbox credit to justify the above prices. Microsoft is never gonna have blow out prices on most of the shit anyway like sony occasionally does so might as well stock up now and move on

Normaly I LL stock up on the spring sale then the black Friday sales and play those games the rest of the year. Then just add in the gwg games keep me busy

Now that it has gone BC and those bots start clamoring for MW3, we'll soon start remembering the BO2 days fondly.

Has anyone tried doing that Uprising DLC event in Overwatch yet? I tried beating Hard difficulty last night with a few online buddies from TA and we couldn't get past the part where you have to kill 4 Orissas in 5 minutes. I can't imagine how hair-rippingly frustrating Legendary can be...but I'll find out on Friday when I pull an all nighter to get it done.
 
I got $65 of xbl credit in anticipation for this sale. Thinking about.

Monopoly (for wife), Shadow Warrior), Goat Sim Space dlc (not on sale), and Oceanhorn

I'm on the fence on Lego Worlds. I would mostly be playing co-op with my wife. I've read and have been told that co-op in it sucks. Progress only saves for the host. That might be okay though being primarily a building game and I'd be building in her world.

Darksiders 2 X1 version I'm on the fence as well. I've heard the games have broken achievements and features, but I really want to get into the series. Darksiders 1 (360) was a little too dated graphically when I tried it and remember 2 looking way better than 1

The few games I know are: Halo 5, Witcher 3, The Division, Dirt Rally, Gears 4 (at least the campaign) (or so I read/not 100% confirmed) and DOOM.

I think quite a few of them have it, and as I type this I see you edited Battlefield 1. I think the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare at least has it. Why I'm pretty intrigued about the Scorpio even if the publisher doesn't patch certain games.

 
I think I might just save my credits and buy something coming out later this year. That new COD WW2 looks like it might be cool and I wouldn't be shocked if 343 stealth announces Halo 6 to come out with the Scorpio. I know that's unlikely but it seems like if your making this super powerful console you might hire an extra team to release your number 1 franchise with it.

The DLC is on sale. I believe the only stand alone is the "mmore goatz edition."






I've worked two doubles this week and may be working another double and a shift and a half on Friday. I haven't really gotten a chance to check out the sale and have only picked up bioshock and Lego avengers. May pick up one or two more.
 
Anyone have thoughts on The Long Dark? Is it worth 10 dollars? I saw a review this year on the Xbox that stated it had not been updated in a year...

Cool idea, but I rarely play my new buys even a few months after purchasing. Guess I would have to play the games sooner after purchasing.

This one makes no sense to me. What if you accidentally bought a game and never downloaded it. Wouldn't that make it the PERFECT candidate for a refund? You didn't intend to buy it. You never even tried it. Clearly your Microsoft billing would acknowledge that you bought it so why is it necessary to have it downloaded AND launched?

Sometimes MS makes no sense. That said, great consumer friendly feature. I'm all for it.

That's specifically for self-service refunds. You can still contact customer service directly for what you describe.

It's better to have options on how to get a refund for a mistake or a bad impression of a game.

But how do you accidentally buy a game if you have to confirm the actual purchase before it goes through?

 
But remember two hours goes by quicker than you think and even if you were only at the title screen, it would still count against those two hours. They are likely using the same timer that displays when you are in your Achievement detail. Basically, if you don't like the game after 20-30 minutes and want a refund, log out of the game completely.

It's probably to prevent people from asking for refunds en mass if a game gets really bad press, they want you to fire it up and see for yourself. They may also be hoping you accidentally do this for more than 2 hours. In both cases, I assume it's to appease publishers who may worry about this.

At the same time, it's a pretty minor thing and if a game truly is broken, you aren't stuck with it. Xbox and 'consumer friendly' used to be a misnomer, but lately they've been leading the charge.
