Great list, Half-Minute Hero is the only one I'd say you should skip if you game on PSP/Vita and/or PC. I'd recommend more but I'm not sure what you already own.

 
You should most definitely pick up COJ Gunslinger! Amazing game, and shockingly better than a lot of big AAA releases. If you enjoy westerns and shooting things, with a great story, it's worth the $3.

Oh and the opening menu theme is jaw droppingly awesome. It's the best Enrico Morricone impression I've ever heard.

Please recommend more! I don't own many of these due to my days of being a broke middle/high schooler when the 360 was out. Missed out on a lot of great games it seems. I have most of the big AAA titles already like the CODs, Bioshocks, etc so I'm looking to buy anything that wasn't a super major release. I just need something to spend all this GameStop money on lol

So what is anyone's opinion on the coming months of GWG and future as it pertains to the 360?

It's going to be time to potentially renew my Gold, and I'm on the fence given the end of the 360's lifespan (and I don't own an X1, and I'm not getting an X1 any time soon if it all).  There are a few online games I play off and on, but that's more because I can than because I want/need to.  Right now my Gold has been kept more for Deals and GWG than anything else.

Do you think GWG has another year in it for the 360?  Or should I start going in 3 or 6-month chunks (if I want to at all)?

 
I'm in for Comic Jumper, Hydro Thunder, Kameo, Jetpac Refuelled, and Ghostbusters.  I debated on Alice, but I think it's a little dark for playing with small children around.

 
I think with how they've tied GWG to BC that 360 stuff will be part of it for a long time.

And I'm in the same boat, I wasn't very interested in Gold until GWG, since I don't play online all that often.

Holy delay. I got a preorder for 40€ last october (only spent 5€ at the time though), pretty long wait. Hope it's worth it, but after Destiny 2 will I ever touch it? Meh

 
How is Ms. Splosion Man compared to regular Splosion Man? Is the gameplay or anything (other than the character) worth buying the game since I already have Splosion Man?
 
Any thoughts on Dragon Age:  Origins?  Would it be best to get just the base game for this sale or is the DLC savings in the ultimate edition worth grabbing the physical version?

Get everything. It's the last truly great pre-EA Bioware game and every single piece of DLC, especially Awakening, is worth playing. I don't even like RPGs but that is easily in my top 10 all time. The story, the characters, the lore, the combat... Amazing stuff.

Not sure if it still is the case but the DLC expansion was free at one point, also base game is free with EA access.

Origins was pre-EA? Always thought it was EA Bioware...

Regardless, I 100% agree with this statement. Dragon Age: Origins is the best console RPG to date.

 
I also questioning getting fallout 3, dragon age and New Vegas. Do yall think DLC goes on sale often enough to bother. I thought about picking up all the dead spaces and bioshocks but im wondering if getting the bioshock collection isnt a better deal. They need to have a huge dlc sale.

The DLCs to both Fallout games and Dragon Age are on sale quite often. I'd confidently say couple times a year, if not more.

I think I can get away with buying Vegas digital because I already paid full price for the dlc when it came out. I have fallout goty edition on disc but having a digital copy i can play on my xbone would be sweet. I want to get a ton of games i have physical copies for i just dont want to pay out the nose for the dlc

Most of the DLC isn't amazing or anything. The only must play is the Awakening expansion that they have made permanently free, and the Stone Prisoner that adds another party member, which I think is also free now.

Yeah, they were acquired during the end of it's development but it had 4 years of development time and seemed to make it out without EA shitting it up too much aside from making the aforementioned Stone Prisoner DLC being separated as part of their attempt at combating used games like the online passes that made the rounds back then.

It's slightly gory... but if I'm not mistaken, there's some twisted shit in there and some allusions to molestation. Also... plenty of language.

I've always used www.commonsensemedia.org for knowing what I can and can't play around my kids. Also works for movies too. If you hover your mouse over the different category ratings to the left, it actually explains why they rated each category as they did, with examples. To top it off, the website isn't overly conservative like most of it's ilk. I looked up Don Jon for giggles and it actually bragged about how great of a movie it is, despite the content.

 
So... I have zero nostalgia for the N64 Rare games.  Any thoughts on how "Banjo Kazooie" and "Perfect Dark" have aged?  Are they worth an impulse buy at their sales price?

1. Buy a used copy of the Game of the Year edition of (whatever game) from GameStop.
2. Install the DLC from the disc.
3. Return the used copy within 7 days for a full refund.

This is, like, CAG 101 right here.

Those are huge games and you can do the DLC whenever, so I wouldn't worry about having to wait a bit for a DLC sale.

Thanks for the heads up. I've pretty much decided against it at this point. Even without worrying about my kid seeing it, I simply can't take the disturbing stuff like I used to. I blame some combination of fatherhood, OCD, and not enough sleep.

And thanks for the link. I think I've been there before, but I couldn't remember what it was called. I'll bookmark it for future use.

Personally I think Perfect Dark 1 still holds up, the biggest negative is that the controls feel a bit weird because of the auto-aim that was basically required on the N64 since it only had one stick. You can either leave it on and get used to it or turn it off and the game becomes a bit harder since it was designed with it in mind. But it's not bad, and they have a few different control scheme options to help you find one you like, with button layouts based around some of the bigger modern shooters like Halo and CoD.

Game design is great though. The more free-form design where you have objectives to complete in missions still feels unique since most FPS games now are just move forward and kill. All weapons have secondary fire options and that helps with variety, along with some cool gameplay quirks guns like the Laptop Gun and FarSight XR-20 bring to the table. Harder difficulties give you more to do, and there is quite a bit to do in general. Multiplayer is still fun but online is pretty dead. A ton of weapons, mostly good map design, and really customizable bots still give a lot to do.

I've heard the newest Hitman have a lot of comparisons to Perfect Dark and Goldeneye thanks to it's free-form mission design so that could give you some idea if you played it. I still haven't yet.

Banjo is a solid 3D platformer, probably best on the N64 after Mario, if you like the genre you'll probably like it.
