Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.
[*]ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...

It's pure nostalgia for the 35 and up crowd who liked gaming on their Commodore 64's. It had me smiling all the way through. If you've ever played Maniac Mansion there are a lot of little Easter eggs throughout the game that will keep you laughing.

If your first experience with gaming was on a PlayStation or Xbox you may still enjoy the game but you may not "get it".

It wasn't the best game I've ever played but it's one of the most memorable for all the old memories it brought back. It's a solid representation of how gaming used to be.

That Collector's Edition is waaayyy overpriced.

It's gonna be more hockey, Nashville ties up the series, we're going for a Game 5 Thursday! Pekka was on point tonight, Crosby beating him with the breakaway deke/backhander was also fun to watch - was like watching a NHL 17 goal.

Well I'm glad the AC3 season pass is on sale, but now that I've got it, none of the dlc is showing up in the "ready to install", the store pages for the season versions of the dlc say not available, and trying to download from in-game says can't connect to Ubisoft server

Edit: I deleted and reinstalled AC3, and when I started it again I was able to connect to the server, then I had to "buy" each thing from the store in game, then it showed up in "ready to install"

Hit 200,000 Gamerscore tonight. So it took me 7 years 4 months and 27 days to go from 0 to 100,000 but only 2 years 11 months and 30 days to get from 100,000 to 200,000.  I think the goal now is to get to 300,000 in the next 2 years.  #40somethingadultlifegoals

For all local 360 multiplayer games, I've had to actually sign in all the accounts on the XB1 dash BEFORE launching the BC game. Once they are signed in, launch the BC game, then you can join on another controller and the other signed in accounts will be available. We have played multiple games of Bomberman Battlefest locally since getting it during the sale.
Unfortunately this method doesn't work with a guest account like I was trying to do on the same xbox live account, at least with this game. I only own 1 xbox live gold account.

sweet, going to pick this up also, great price for all DLC

So apparently the NDA doesn't extend to the actual existence of the event, just all the cool secret stuff they showed me. In fact, I'm even encouraged to tweet about it using #BingListens. So yeah, I went to a Bing Insiders event in NYC this past evening.

[customspoiler=Bing Event Details] [/customspoiler]
Anyway the event was fun, about 80 or so other people there, pretty diverse crowd. Free food was good (filled my plate with baked mac & cheese casserole, sweet & sour meatballs and garlic knots) but I regret not taking any of the free booze. Lots and lots of cool stuff in the pipeline for Cortana, Bing and even Microsoft Rewards. I let the lady hosting the roundtable discussion for MS Rewards know just how much all of us here love the program, and she said she's happy just as long as none of you rascals are using bots. I said the bots was a Reddit thing and we were all good boys and girls. :bouncy:

I didn't get a chance to ask but it doesn't look like the GC rewards are going away based on what we were previewed. I know some people were concerned because of the June 30th, 2017 note in the description for the GCs but keep in mind that's when MS' fiscal year ends for some reason.

I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but 360 purchases don't seem to give me reward points, only Xbone/W10. I passed that along to the MS Rewards lady as well as the issue for some people where there is a delay for ordered rewards being sent.

For those like me who redeemed points for a Windows Store GC during the last hot deal, but had the order canceled, the lady told me it was because they actually ran out of GCs to give, haha. Supposedly they put in a lot of overtime that weekend to fix it.

Since she let this slip unintentionally, going to assume it's not under NDA, but after mentioning to her that I thought it was cool that you can get a year of Game Pass through the Rewards system, she let it slip that purchasable yearly subscriptions to the Game Pass ARE coming.

Aside from the bit about the Game Pass, there was really just about nothing related to Xbox there, unfortunately. They did give away 1 Xbone S which I thought was kind of stingy, but whatever. The only other thing of note is one of the dudes behind Cortana was asked about Kinect support for Scorpio and he said he's not allowed to talk about it but he's honestly not too aware of what's going on over there. Which leads me to believe that since the Cortana team is in the dark, that there's a 0% chance of a new Kinect and I'm starting to wonder if the Kinect will be supported on Scorpio at all.

That's about everything I can share. Some fun facts: Bing apparently has 400 million users (and increasing steadily every quarter), Bing powers Yahoo and AOL search (Yahoo outsources it now, the Bing people talked some shit about Yahoo during the event, was pretty funny), Bing is even more popular than Google in Germany for some reason and there was some dude there who had 500,000 lifetime Bing Rewards points (I'm only at 100k and I've been using it pretty religiously for the past year or so), so if you ever feel like you're wasting time on it, at least you're not that guy.

New sale sucks massive dick, by the way. I don't think any of the titles on sale this week are eligible for this month's rewards promo. Don't forget that The Long Dark is eligible, and will probably go up in price to $35 once it leaves Game Preview (very soon).

This sale is exactly what you deserve for your birthday, this sale and also probably chlamydia

RIP China, IL. One of the few Adult Swim originals I actually liked (besides the obvious like The Venture Bros. and Robot Chicken, of course).

Sold like shit (unsurprisingly), so it'll be $20 digitally in no time.

That's awfully tempting. Really want to pick it up but think I'll show some restraint and hope for it to hit BC.
Original version (360/PC) was published by EA and the PC version has since been delisted from Steam & Origin . BC seems very, very unlikely.

I have also had this issue for some time. Everything I bought from the BC sale didn't register. I figured this had something to do with not being charged tax on 360, but being taxed on Xbox One purchases. Very interesting info though, thanks for sharing.

I think you're talking about Xbox Rewards, but I'm referring to Microsoft Rewards. But yeah, she said they're supposed to track and that maybe me using credit instead of cash was affecting it. Either way, they're looking into it.

My VIP % for the next rank should be much higher, so I think I'm having a similar issue with MS Rewards which has been a shitshow lately for some reason. Might have to have my third conversation with them so far this year. :wall:

Nope, was talking about the Microsoft Rewards through Bing, but the Xbox Rewards seem to be janky as well. I bought several games during the BC sale, but got nothing on the Bing counter, but I bought a Rock Band 4 song in the middle, & got a 2 point credit. So I know that the credit does work on XBONE purchases. And I have over 500K lifetime points as well, I just looked. So.....yeah.

Bing reward points have been shit for me as well. Everything I bought (probably close to $100) never appered in my bing points. It also didn't show Xbox rewards come to think of it....

Medium level quote-fu coming through (I took a loooong nap today so I'm a little behind).

Let's get the wrestling analysis the fuck out of here right now.

Goddamned, that's the reason you watch men in speedos rub all over each other? She looks like every fucking porn star, don't you know you can see naked women on demand with the internet?
It astounds me how many people talk about modern day wrestling in here. I think it rivals how many people talk about Xbox deals and news in here. I even welcome hockey talk, another subject I have no knowledge of over it. :)

Most people don't like to be called racist, unless they are REALLY REALLY racist and are proud of it. Happy Birthday!

Dragon Age Inquisition is an absolute steal at $5. Other than that, these sales are like taint warts. :hot:
Are they throwing catfish onto the basketball courts too?

Nothing for me this week, also have to toot DA:I 's horn at that price.
Careful, this isn't the GOTY!

Activision is the worst. They are gonna milk Destiny Two players so hard. It's gonna be ugly.

Granted Red Dead 2 online is gonna be up there to.

Only thing that sucks more is timed DLC and one year timed exclusives. I'm not proud of MS with their one year exclusives, and the COD timed exclusivity sucks to.
The more I think about it, the more it irritates me that Sony paid untold amounts of money to have a small amount of content walled off from Xbox owners. And what irritates me MORE is that it irritates me at all.

I'm a big Destiny fan, but there is a 90% chance that I will not be keeping my pre-order of this. I'm going to buy it and think about it, but those CE contents better be NICE.

The only thing I can compare to this is the fact that I was able to snag a BO3 Juggernog. I don't even have the game anymore (besides my sealed HE), which I kinda regret, but I regret more that I didn't sell the SP when it was worth more. :)

Anyway, congrats on the milestone and good luck on the next!

I wish there were some way I could get back into MS's good graces so I could rejoin the program. I'm honestly surprised that me being banned from that program hasn't screwed up more of my Microsoft account.

That's a bummer. I guess I'll just continue to hope that maybe it will eventually be added. I could think of plenty of other games I'd like to see go BC before bulletstorm so it's not the biggest disappointment.

^ Regarding Bing, I just installed the app on my phone to nab the 500 points they were promoing it with. FYI, it may be in your offers page.

I was reading up on Microsoft price match guarantee and noticed this. So always keep a look out! I'll post what the term "store" means as well.

The Store does not have a price match guarantee. We will not match the advertised price other retailers offer for the same items. However, if we lower our price on a device within 30 days of your purchase, we will honor the lower price. If you notice that we have lowered a price on a device you recently purchased, just bring your original sales receipt back to the place of purchase or contact Sales and Support, as applicable, and we’ll gladly issue a refund or credit for the difference (if you paid with a credit card, you’ll need to use the same card). You must contact Microsoft within 30 days of the price change to receive the refund or credit. Price reductions/adjustments are not available for clearance items and limited-time price reductions associated with promotions and/or special sale events including Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Cyber Week.

"Store" refers to our online and retail venues that allow you to browse, view, acquire, purchase, and rate and review products and services including devices, game consoles, digital content, applications, games, services, and more. These Terms of Sale ("Terms of Sale") cover use of the Microsoft Store, Office Store, Xbox Store, Windows Store, and other Microsoft services that refer to these Terms of Sale (collectively "Store"). Through the Store, Microsoft provides access to a variety of resources, including download areas, software, tools, and information about software, services and other merchandise (collectively "Services"). The term "Store" includes Services. Many of the products, services and content offered in the Store are offered by entities other than Microsoft.

So Xbox/Windows digital stores have a 30 day post-purchase price match policy? Noted. That's pretty cool, guess that combined with the self-service refunds means they're trying to be more consumer-friendly. Wonder how many times I'd have used that policy if I'd known about it.

Edit: Disregard, MS sucks cocks.

But... it doesn't apply to sales, only price drops.

My best friend bought me a copy of the Handsome Collection so I can play with her and her husband, so that's pretty cool. I never finished Borderlands 2 and never touched TPS, but I enjoyed what we played last night.

Also, Dark Void isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I can't imagine going back to it once I'm done, so still very glad I didn't buy it.

That's awfully tempting. Really want to pick it up but think I'll show some restraint and hope for it to hit BC. I just got the new Doom for the backlog so I'll play that if I want something "new."
Doom 2016 is incredible, I recommend playing it sooner than later.

Even though I was 99,9% sure I had turned off auto-renew, you made check again and sure enough, it was turned off. Thanks.

Has anyone played Alien on both xbox one and ps4?  I forgot to pick it up on ps4 last week so I watched some comparison videos last night.  Seems pretty similar although the xb1 version does not lock at 30fps.  I normally wouldn't care but given that the ps4 version was cheaper last week and runs smoother, I'm inclined to wait it out.

Tried to play The Culling last night w/ my usual crew. We couldn't do anything past the tutorial. We couldn't connect to do an online game. The menu just sat there, regardless of what button you pressed. The graphics are similar to Goldeneye on N64.

Quite possibly the worst game in the Game Preview program. (I've tried them all via their 1-hour trial.)

Seems strange that MS would "allow" a game in such an unfinished state to be purchasable.

Since they seemingly are letting garbage on the store, I might make a "game" that is just the John Travolta gif from yesterday lol.

The graphics are definitely awful, but the game is pretty fun if you can get into a match. The servers are still being worked on

^ I get it. My point is that the game should be pulled from the store if it fundamentally doesn't work.

True that all games in the GP program are unfinished, but at least they are functional.

Imagine buying a burrito from Chipotle. But you couldn't get the foil wrapper off. You could only look at it.*

*You'd be better off actually, unless you like salmonella. Lol  :D/

Evolve was a commercial bust. Friday the 13th sorta works. The Culling doesn't work at all.

Is Dead By Daylight going to bomb, too? Perhaps PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will save us.

It'll probably fail. All this 4vs1 turns out to be crap, which doesn't surprise me since the idea even sucks on paper.

The idea for all the games are great, it's the execution of the ideas and the dependency on other human players that kills these games. I still contest that Evolve is very good when played with a coordinated group and when the person playing the monster isn't godlike
