  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Well, I brought up new releases because loss of those sales at $40-60 are probably what hurts the publishers/developers and MS more. While GwG might be enticing some people to stick with Gold or to reward those of us who have it, an unintended consequence is that consumers will spend less on other games. If I know I'm getting 2 free games each month, I have less incentive to go out of my way to get games for my library, assuming I haven't already played those GwG.

In addition to skipping out on newer releases, I've been skipping out on <$20 deals as well (like Saints Row 4 for $12 at BB last month). I know I want to play it eventually, but I can wait.

EDIT: Lol. I swear, I did not see that Newegg 9.99 for Saints Row 4 before I posted my comment above. That is such a freaky coincidence!!! :shock:

My 360 Elite has a Jasper motherboard in it so it's damn quiet, but only problem is the disc drive acts up meaning the disc tray has to have a disc in for it to open otherwise it's alot of trying to open it and waiting until it responds. Well that and playing anything directly on disc game wise sounds like a robot motorboating a car engine. Plus the PS3 I got is the original 60GB models, so I'd be lying if I didn't expect the winds of hell blowing out of it when I try playing God of War: Ascension.

I was curious how that thread's post count got to be nearly double this one.

Have now gone 2 weekends without clearing a game from the backlog. Decided the next game I would bump off the backlog would be Banjo-Tooie, but first I wanted to replay Banjo-Kazooie again (200/200 that back in '08), and finished that up yesterday. Click Clock Wood is still one of my favorite video game levels of all-time, with the level's varying theme music a big part of that. Mad Monster Mansion is up there, too. Some of the end game stuff is still a pain, particularly [customspoiler=spoiler]the Grunty's Furnace Fun board game.[/customspoiler] Hope to collect everything in Tooie, even if there aren't achievements tied to it - never did it back on the N64. Nearly screwed up my elbow trying to [customspoiler=spoiler]beat those Canary Mary rematch races with pure button mashing, though once I found out the trick to them, never went back to complete them.[/customspoiler] Might be a few other things I didn't collect, would need to hook the N64 back up to check.

I never got the last Jiggy in Banjo-Tooie because of what's behind your second spoiler. That section is complete bullshit, I still don't believe it's possible to beat without a special controller or something.

Worse than jigsaw in the first game?

Finished Dark Souls 2. It was much longer than I was expecting. If you liked DS, you'll probably like DS2. It felt like a big expansion to the first game.

it's too bad ensemble is shut down, they made a great game. A sequel needs to be made.

Actually, looking at that Dragon Ball game on xbldb, it appears it never actually raised in price from the last time it was on sale.

So that's not what the deal is, at least it doesn't appear to be

Wow. Again already (for the same price even)? I already own the Budokai HD Collection but that has yet to a sale, figured they'd go for that one this time.

I kinda hope this week is a dud so I can save my money for the recommended GH stuff before it gets delisted.

Seeing Dragon Ball Z UT at $9.99 I knew it would be like $20 or something in Australia, but it is not even available to buy on the Australian marketplace lol.

Anyway, is Dragon Ball Z UT a good game?

Yeah, it's a Bioshock sale. Season Pass won't be on sale. Wanna know how I know? Because the last bit of the DLC drops on Tuesday, which is why this week is Bioshock-themed in the first place. They gotta milk the last of those profits. If they put the Season Pass on sale, it would either be the same price or cheaper than the new episode (Episode 2 is $14.99, Season Pass is $19.99).

No, you're right. XBLDB said it never went back up in price.. since February 17th. And XBLDB's never been that wrong. I'm dying of laughter here. It sold so badly they forgot to fix the price.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made this week and last week meh so that more people would buy GH stuff. Not entirely outside the realm of possibility.

Edit: It drops TOMORROW, March 26th was the release date of the original game last year. Wow, that year went by quick.

I'd love to get Bioshock infinite (already own the other two). But it would take too much space with the DLC's. I'm going to hold off until they release a complete edition and get it for cheap when it goes on sale. All this assuming that they'll release a complete edition eventually, of course :whistle2:

All I want is Saints Row 4 for under $20 so I can use my credit to get it, is that so wrong?  Seriously, every other outlet has it for $20 or under...get with it MS.

I actually have a "disc only" rule when it comes to DBZ games so I will pass. I still need to catch up with the Raging Blast games anyway.

And pass on Bioshock since I own it already.

I'm sure everyone says things like this when talking about, BioShock Infinite, but that game really is worth your time and money. I can't recommend it enough to any of you.

Even if you haven't played the other games in the series. BioShock Infinite is just incredible. From the absolutely gorgeous scenery and art style, to the story, the gameplay, the music, the voices...just...fuck...play it. All of you. At this price, its a great deal. I bought it when it was $20 and I regret nothing.

I own all of the games. No deal this week Microsoft. Try again next week.

I have around 40GB available on mine right now, but I have a "beat and delete" policy on most of the games I buy on sale. I only have a few games that will stay on my hard drive for extended periods of time.

XBLDB updated with some stuff.  In addition to some BioShock stuff, it also picked up Walking Dead : Survival Instinct $50 -> $12.49, Gold not required.

i hate how the last two weeks, both xbl and psn sales have mirrored each other. =\ I'd love a halo or gears of war sale on xbl. A mass effect sale on psn would be dope. but that shit never happens.
