  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Like Ryukushi said, they used to be so much better when the XBLPETs would make snarky comments and such, but they've pretty much done away with that completely, so the forum basically just feels like 11 year olds who know they broke the rules using their not quite mature brains as a way to try and say their innocent, then the PETs just copy/pasting the same stuff.

Wait man. I paid $17 for the Vita version and sold it for $13. That seemed like a fair price. $20 for an unsellable digital version is not a fair price for the game. It's not bad it's just the definition of mediocrity for me. For every fun part in the game, there's a part that's equally dull.

Only reason it bothers me is that the Vita needs all the support it can get, so every time they port a game off the Vita to other consoles it hurts the Vita a bit. Haha and I think it's safe to assume that you haven't played the Liberation MP if you consider it a "perk".

I get that. Felt similarly when RE: Revelations went multiplat (forgot to include it in the list). And no, still holding out on my Vita purchase. Someday soon. :bouncy:

Edit: Nevermind Ryukishi beat me to it.

I think Stepto was probably the one that encouraged the snarky comments but now whomever is in charge is probably a "corporate suit" so they don't want anyone interacting with the customer above the bare minimum.

They were probably embarrassed with DMaul's saga at the end of Stepto's tenure. Notice how there's no PAX talks anymore and we don't even know who the person who heads up enforcement is.

I highly recommend everyone go into the Major Nelson podcast archives and find Stepto's 3 or 4 XBL policy panels at PAX's from 09-11. Great listen.

It's been 3 weeks since i bought anything from these sales. I feel the urge to spend, last time i almost fell for 2 indie games some CAG fellows suggested. Now i'm about to break, i am sooo close of falling for that new Yugioh game. Obviously i need professional help.

Yeah... I'm no expert but I don't think it's possible to accomplish that kind of hack unless you have access to the email address and password associated with the account so you can download it to a local HDD. There's got to be more to that story.

Most common is with phishing emails. "Free Microsoft Points" for a kid that young can be very tempting. Then they download the profile (if they even have to) and change tenure. Usually people are embarrassed to admit they fell for such a trick.

There is a few things you can do to set up more security on your account. I use an authenticator.

i really really really wish they would release a new HDD upgrade for the 360.  Every month I get closer to the limit. =\ already had to delete 9 games (40GB)and season one of workaholics. 

is anyone using the 32GB stck for games on demand? do they run at all from a usb stick? if so do they run similar versus being on an HDD?

Yeah you were who suggested that game. I might go for it, on the other hand is good to know that i'm not alone in this need to buy games even with a huge backlog on the basement.

I am. I'm still ashamed of myself for not owning a PSP (maybe someday), and it's a great handheld as long as you go in knowing it's a niche game machine (which you've pretty much acknowledged you're cool with). With the release of the 2k and the phasing out of the 1k, I'm sure my Vita purchase will be any day now (I really really like the OLED screen, part of the entire appeal of the handheld). Not to start a war, but I like my 3DS for the library, not the tech. The Vita is the one I like the tech for, and not so much the library (but I like it enough to wanna get the thing).

Thanks for the video. Yeah, I'm not missing out on not getting it for Vita I guess. :p Don't really want one for "AAA" titles anyways.

Thanks. Cheese and crackers I already almost finished it. I just have flappy goat achievement left and that one is driving me bananas. I love the game.

EDIT: The only thing that can pull me away from Goat Simulator is that new Netflix original movie that just came out today.

It's actually a process done straight through Xbox and their shitty support system. Most of the ***holes who go around stealing people's accounts get them straight from Xbox support by falsifying their identities. No phishing through email or anything like that. I've had my account hacked twice since I got my 360 on Launch day, the last time being 2 or 3 years ago. It's always a great day to wake up and see that someone has spent $120 on Fifa Ultimate Team DLC. It's even better waiting 4 months to get refunded the money.

This is the end of my rant.

Neither DOA5 complete costumes nor Limbo are on Majornelson's dotw post, so It seems a price reduction. It's up to you if you want to get it or not, but I know I got it the same moment I saw it at the new price (DOA5's, I don't care about Limbo). I don't trust in costume's permanent price drops (specially if it's from Tecmo or Capcom). And I think that $20 is also too much for some superficial extra content... but I'm a sucker for those things T_T

I'd say Limbo is a price drop, but who knows with a costume pack with a normal $40 price tag? It's crazy to see a price like that for just DLC costumes. Tecmo's greed knows no limit.

It's most likely a permanent price drop because neither Tecmo Koei America or Tecmo Koei Europe has tweeted about it (and Tecmo Koei Europe tweets a LOT, they even had a free DLC giveaway today for PS3 people, much better people than Tecmo Koei America).

Yeah a buddy of mine went Vita this generation and I stayed with Nintendo and upgraded from a DS Lite to a 3DS right at that time when the price cuts went live and you could get in on the Nintendo Ambassador program. I was talking with him the other day and he said he has nothing to play on his system.

There's plenty to play if you have an extremely varied tastes in genres and don't mind smaller digital games. But there are only a couple heavy-hitters, compared to the 3DS lineup which is stacked with them. Also lots more games on Vita that also exist on other systems, whereas the 3DS has stronger exclusives.

Well worth the $10 imo. One nice feature is if you have a gamesave from decade duels, it will import your deck lists and your card collection. It also seems the ban list is the current april list as well as having card list up to legacy of the valiant booster pack.

Agreed, I own both and the Vita has plenty of games. I have a hard enough time just keeping up with the PS+ Vita offerings let alone buying new releases. The Vita with PS+ is by far the best value in gaming. That said, the 3DS has an excellent library of exclusives. IMO the 3DS offered the best gaming experience last year and that includes "next gen" consoles.

Would you recommend getting Decade Duels for the cards, are the cards in the new game better, or does the new game have all the cards?

 
I would recommend just going with Millennium Duels. You would have to put at least 60 hours into the first one, and you might get lucky enough to unlock all the cards, ~ 3,800 of them. The new one had, according to the screen shots, at least 6,000 cards. I can confirm it has some of the special promo cards that were released, The Seal of Orichalcos.

Hmmm, if you have the Disc version of Amazing Spider-Man you coulde trade it in to Best Buy for $17 ($18.70 with GCU), buy a $15 Xbox Bucks card, submit the receipt through that text promotion to get $5 more and then buy the digital version for $13.50 on Xbox Live. Get a digital copy of the game, make about $4 in Best Buy credit and have $6.50 in Xbox Bucks left over. 

Very tempted by this as I bought the game for $10 two Black Fridays ago at Microsoft Store...

Don't grab Spidey from this sale because you can get the base game cheaper with enough patience (but only $3 or so cheaper, so if you don't think the wait is worth $3, just get it now). Just grab the Stan Lee DLC (and the other DLCs that interest you) now so you don't have to worry about a sale on them later. Then when Spidey for $10 shows up, nab it and you're all set.

Edit: I myself got Amazing Spidey for $25 during Black Friday 2012 at Walmart, because I am what they call "a sucker". :bouncy:

I even did a return/rebuy to Best Buy so I could get the version with the slipcover. Worth it.
