This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

I'd rather have one game every 6 months but they give us a bunch to choose from. So far I've only got two gwg games since the whole thing started.

I Just beat Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Man, that has to be one of the most lackluster endings and post-ending sequences for me in awhile. That and so many times it froze or just random glitches popping up. On the plus side, choking out or putting enemies to sleep and than tossing them off the highest point you can find or into the water...never gets tiresome. Especially since it's still considered "non-lethal".
Nice to hear that ppl play this game.

I have beat Blacklist on Perfectionist difficulty just few days ago and got me "4th Echelon Officer" chivo, sweet 100g. On top of that I have chosen "No Kill Option Engaged" :p That playthrough showed me the price of patience, damn you got be patient and I mean super patient to get the job done.

Luckily game didn't glitched so much, though I did have about 1 freeze in entire playthrough. Funny thing about the ending, I've got to the main guy instantaneously in few hops like a bunny whether it took me like forever to comprehend him on Realistic difficulty.

I think Splinter Cell: Blacklist is damn fine game and I love to be a spy : )

(Can't wait to get my hands on MGS:GZ)

Haven't played episode 3 yet, but I hope they'll have some nude scenes, like exposed boobs :p
Haha out of the three episodes of TWAU and two of TWD Season 2, this episode has to be my favourite one. In terms of the story and the action.

Since everyone here is talking about Blacklist, is it a good/fun game? I played Conviction (after having skipped much of the series), and despite the negativity, enjoyed it, I've been looking into this game and it's on sale for $20. Worth it?

P.S. Does anyone know when the previous week's sale ends? I know it goes on till sometime in tuesday, but does anyone know an approximate time?

Yes SC: Blacklist is a very good game IMHO. If you enjoy tactical espionage action than Blacklist should be on your List lol

Game's awesome, I like the story, gameplay and graphics it has pretty darn good graphics on my 360; actually I wonder how it looks on PC on ultra settings I bat it looks super nice. Believe it or not some games look outstanding on PC, like Bioshock: Infinity - it blows PS3 and 360 out of water.

Anyhow Blacklist contains great replay value for me, which is very unusual because I lose interest pretty quickly in many games after first playthrough. There's many different approaches to levels, and gadgets to use. Multi-player is fun, but I do have glitches with it here and there. Play a demo before making a purchase, give it a test run and see for yourself. I enjoyed the game and would recommend it to every one who likes espionage titles.

XBL sale always ends on the last day at midnight, Monday 14th at midnight sale should end. Actually I think I should grab something before it ends. I wanted Castle Crashers so bad, but I already have it on PC. Guess I'll get GOW3 Season Pass caz GOW3 is the only gears I play these days. Aside from that really nice sale from Microsoft, hope they'll put out Shadow Complex soon.

I've seen some sales being available as late as 9:00 a.m on Tuesday. Nevertheless i would advise you to buy sometime before midnight, just in case.

Count me in with the X1 sale hopeful crowd. The chance of us getting a Titanfall season pass sale is 0%, but I'd gladly take crimson dragon for $10 or loco cycle for $5.

I wish MS would compete pricing on digital titles with Newegg. Id happily buy Ass Creed 4 and NFS for $35.

I'm going to be kicking myself all week for not picking up NFS last week for $25. I can see MS putting it on sale for $30 soon like they with Tomb Raider.

Same here for the Battlefield 4 game, I want that digitally because well that's multiplayer focused anyways but the digital price is a solid-not-budging $60.

I Tried Fable Heroes. Never have I lost interest in a game so quick. Too many unnecessary mechanics, why are there three other assholes always around me who take my gold and hearts, have any of those assholes at Lionhead ever play a beat em up in the past two generations annnnnd I don't care. This was all within my first 5 minutes of playing it. All the ideas are like adding frosting to a steak, by themselves and with other thing's in their respective category they're amazing, but add them together and I suddenly hate the world.

I rented Splinter Cell Blacklist and beat it in 3 days. I liked Conviction better, but Blacklist was really good IMO. I liked the plane/base of operations, it was like Mass Effect running around talking to people lol.

I really didn't like the young looking and sounding Sam Fischer though...Conviction he was old and grizzly "Pure Sam" and in this one he basically turned back the clock even though it takes place after Conviction lol.

Yeah it's a terrible game.

Related, despite the awful performance issues, Fable Anniversary is awesome. I've never played Fable before and it's pretty damn good. Some of the mechanics and menus feel a tad bit dated, but besides that I'm having a great time. I'm starting to get overpowered though so maybe I'll run into some tougher baddies soon.

Fable Anniversary is on my short list of games left to play/own for the 360. I played through the original game and The Lost Chapters. Aside from the Hobbe Cave rescue/escort mission and few little hiccups back in the day, I loved the experience. I see no reason why I wouldn't enjoy Anniversary.

Unfortunately, another game that was on my list - Batman: Arkham Origins - was an awful, glitchy mess and I couldn't finish it. But I was able to get rid of it, so at least it isn't sitting in my backlog. Next up is likely X-COM.

Wow, I feel sorry for some of you guys. I never had a single bad glitch on Arkham Origins outside of Batman Jesus where he walks on the water.

Maybe It's because I got the WIi U version? lol.

Well sir, get ready for Fable II, the best one of the bunch. Fable came out and Molynuex pretty much promised the sun and moon so it was a disappointment for reviewers and the people that followed what Molynuex was saying. The Fable sequel however put almost everything to rest, fixing all the negatives, resulting in a hell of a game. Xplay gave it the Game of the Year when others gave Fallout 3 the GotY which pissed so many people off but I also have to agree Fable II is great-put that on your backlog list to get to eventually.

Yeah...I had a few problems. 4 save corruptions, a couple of thugs became invincible once, during a Batwing fast travel the game just kept the fast travel cutscene going and going and going. Oh and twice Batman just fell through the floor mid-running animation. Lots of people with the 360 version have had at least the save corruption issue and yet they plan to focus on DLC and have no plans to further patch the game. Shameful. Even worse, you who bought the Wii U version don't even get any further DLC.

Every time I died, the game would freeze. Was annoying when fighting snipers (1 hit kill) and I ended up giving up on Deathstroke. Probably a problem with the disc I rented, but it was still a horrible experience. Blacklist and Anniversary are probably the two 360 games I still want to play that I haven't yet. I'll be done with new 360 games by the end of the year (or whenever last TWAU comes out). Then it will probably just be SFxT until a good team fighting game comes out on X1. I'm thinking about skipping Anniversary and just playing the Project Spark version if it ever gets finished (probably a few years away).

Even worse, you who bought the Wii U version don't even get any further DLC.
Yeah that was the slap in the face to Wii U owners, but from what I read/heard the game sold 1/12th on Wii U of what it sold on the 360. So they probably figured it wasn't even worth the cost of porting the DLC.

I did put the 360 version on my wishlist, but it was a random BDay gift present and at the time the Wii U version was about $20 cheaper on top of already being $10 cheaper since it didn't have multiplayer which I was fine with.

In regards to Arkham Origins:

My game froze a few times, never losing progress, on my first playthrough. On my second playthrough is where I ran into loads of issues. Luckily never lost progress.

I had a couple of freezes with Arkham Origins but nothing that made me rage and curse. I got every single campaign achievement with no hassle. I dont know what the multiplayer is like because I never touched it. I still plan on buying the Mr. Freeze DLC on the 22nd.

You can switch to a mode in which all gold is shared, at which point that stops being an issue. Won't help with hearts, but Heroes is pretty easy anyway IMO. I'm a little fuzzy on this, but I seem to remember the option to turn off CPU players being in there as well.

They were going for a co-op + competitive vibe with the calling out the player who got the most gold at the end of the level as well as the board-game character upgrade minigame that follows. Works okay in multiplayer, even if it's fundamentally off. The game definitely has some weird mechanics and awful graphics/art design, but I still liked it overall.

Even than the gameplay is soooo boring. I Can't link light and heavy attacks. What the hell is the goddamn point than?! It should be goddamn mandatory, especially in a beat em up, for me to make combos out of two different buttons. That and the mini-game after a level, followed by a board game just feels like overkill. Like they know they have a shit game and here's how they draw it out more. I Really wanted to yell at someone or just question (while yelling) why was this game made in the first place. Once more, this was all within the first five minutes and looking at my backlog I know I have better things I can play.

Fable Heroes was kinda fun for me. Never been a massive Fable fun, but I enjoyed the many characters and references it, a really cute mash-up for a beat 'em up and Mario Party. Granted, it does get a bit old after a few hours if you're not playing with other people, so I did not bother replaying the game again in the "dark version" (or whatever its name was), but considering I got it free for reviewing a while back, can't really complain for the value I'd say. It's worht a few bucks surely.

Fable Heroes wasn't a very good game, for the most part. But, taken for what it IS and what it was meant to be, it's a charming little distraction. Maybe you need to be a Fable fan to "get it". I liked it and I paid full price the day it came out. Then again, I am a huge fan of the series. It's not a straight beat-me-up either. The comparison to Mario Party is appropriate, I think.

I just wish I could get in a 4 person multiplayer game for that stupid achievement!

Oh, and I take back some of the praise I had for the Wolverine game. The final boss is cheap as hell, but that isn't the main issue I am having right now. I was following a guide very closely to get all the 95 dogtags in the game, and I was doing brilliantly: 90 out of 95 before the final level starts, and guess what, the final level's got exactly 5 dogtags: so it'll be a breeze. As I got through the first 2 dogtags, I realize the game only counted 1 for some reason. At the end of the game, I've got 94 out of 95 dogtags, and checking back in those places on the final level, the dogtags are effectively gone and cannot be grabbed again. I probably need to start the whole game again to get it (only way to reset the dogtags). I'll still try out a couple things in the hope that something will work out, but I'm really mad at this glitch.

Wow, I'm glad that glitch didn't happen to me, because I wasn't using a guide, thus I wouldn't know that it was a glitch and would've been checking places like crazy for no reason LOL

The dogtags collection was tough. The last ones I needed were in the first stage
those ones where you have to turn around once you pass big wooden doors, and you see the dead soldiers against the the back of the door

Yeah Fable 2 has been on my shelf for years now, I'm definitely planning to move further in the series before I get rid of my Xbox this summer.

Super TIME Force finally has a release window, it's in the MS certification process and is coming out in May or June.  Looks awesome, really hope it's a timed exclusive and I'll get to play it at some point.

Got GOW3 Season Pass.  New maps and characters seem like lots of fun.

Have yet to play Ramm's Shadow campaign.

Gears fans if anyone wants to teamup, hit me up.

Downloading the Hitman HD Pack. I already own Blood Money and you can't double dip achievements on it so it worked out for me to buy it digitally lol. Love me some Hitman

Yeah, I think it was around Christmas. I had it sitting in my backlog though so I didn't bother buying it lol. Terrible move on my part.
it was on sale not long ago for $10 I think it was. Probably will be a while before we see it again.
That was the season pass (Rally DLC and a few car packs) that was on sale (I think it was $15?) but yeah you might be waiting awhile before it comes up again. I don't think they sold the Rally Expansion separately but if the season pass in on sale again, I suggest picking that up :)

What troubles me is that I don't know what happened exactly. If I missed one, the counter went wrong at one point (I had 90 out of 95 with 5 to go, then picked up 2 and wenty up to 91), so I have no way to know which one it is, plus the game offers no way to check where's the hidden one. Neither I do know if it's just plain glitched, maybe the counter screwed up altogether which means I need to restart the game. I was planning to do a hard playthrough, but I was planning to rush it a bit, not bothering about the secrets (that I already collected ones and are not saved in a new playthrough). Really annoying because anything else I'm missing seems absolutely feasible to pull off, but having to do an extra playthrough (or an exceptionally slow Hard run) totally annoys me given how well I planned out what to do in this game, since I'm wanting to finish it so I can delete it (need space).

Oh, and of course I don't even know if a new playthrough would fix issues. What if I encounter the glitch again? Hours wasted.
