  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Of course not. Microsoft would want to make money on the DLC either with another big DLC sale or when they make the game a GwG title in the next couple of months. At least, that's what my bitter, cynical side tells me.

The only Aliens game in danger of being a GWG is AvP. Colonial Marines, despite being shitty, is too new for the program. Sega's gotta squeeze out the last couple of bucks.

Alien Breed Trilogy for $7.50 and Alien Hominid for $5 are probably the best deals here aside from maybe AvP 2010 (if you're okay with only playing the campaigns).

I guess this won't be the week for me to get a sub-$20 Lego Marvel.  Man, why couldn't there be a Lego Aliens?  That would be so awesome, especially seeing the Kane character pop apart when the alien baby busts through his gut.  

 
Aliens VS. Predator is actually a decent shooter and probably the best Aliens or Predator game in a long time (though it's not great). There are some great scary moments but it's not the perfect game. Worth it for $6.

I saw Aliens: Colonial Marines at a local store for $5 the other day and passed on it. It's one of those games like Duke Nukem Forever that I keep passing on knowing that I have better games in my backlog that I will never get to. But I still think I'll wind up buying both those titles at some point just to see how bad they actually are.

The Alien Breed games are good but get so repetitive. I couldn't even make it through the end of Episode 1. There's also a collection of all three episodes on a disc but I'm not sure if it's in every region and how rare it is (I'm in Australia and see it at Ebgames from time to time) but don't remember seeing it for sale when I lived in Canada, so it might be only in PAL regions.

Yeah, best Alien or Predator game to come out since AvP2 back in 2001. Though that's not saying much. :p

 
Looks like Star Trek and Lost Planet 3 are on sale too.

Star Trek was also a game on my radar despite looking awful - think I'll wait for a bargain basement disc though. Does anyone know if it ever got a patch to repair all its awful glitches?

 
Hope to see something for the xb1 this week also. Almost grabbed FIFA but I know I'd only play for a few. Sports games have never really appealed to me.

Not a big deal for me personally. I'm just workin through my 360 backlog before I start gaming on the One exclusively. The lack of deals is a big help.

I'm playing Bulletstorm and loving this. I wish the DLC would go on sale.

It's funny, I just bought a pack on Amazon that includes both ToeJam & Earl games for PC because I got tired of waiting for the 360 pack to go on sale.

If you're someone who has lots of Bing points and basically would be getting most of that $13.50 for free I say go for it.

I haven't played the game but like the Lost Planet series and heard that this one is okay - it mostly got lukewarm reviews and is most likely a mediocre third person shooter so it's in a very crowded genre as is.

To be honest if you have a backlog you probably have 3 or 4 third person shooters that are much better than Lost Planet 3 that you already need to play (for some reason the Ghostbusters game is coming up in my thoughts - so need to play that right now). So I'd wait for this one to either go GwG or to be offered for $5-10 either through a further digital sale or second hand on disc. I could buy a copy of the new Tomb Raider for $13 and I think I'd enjoy that heaps more so I'm rating this one a pass.

Nope, you're definitely not the only one. It's probably not happening anytime soon (either that or next week since you just bought the PC version).

I could play them on the Wii but I have no way of hooking it up to my TV right now, so I'm still hoping it will go on sale.
