This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Child of Light looks gorgeous. Can't wait to play it.

I'm really looking forward to Trials Fusion too but that $40 XB1 version with the season pass is crazy. Hopefully it follows Ubisoft's traditional of rapid price drops.

Tonight I hit level 50 in Titanfall. It's funny because I thought it'd take forever and I wouldn't be able to complete the challenge of reaching it by the end of March. Took 1 week lol. I decided to hit generation 2. I may do all 10 gens then do every challenge once I'm 10. The game is so fun.

Nice, i'm at 49 now so i'll probably hit gen2 next time I play. Good luck with getting to gen 10 though. To get to the next gens you have to complete certain challenges and i've heard some are crazy. I think from gen5 to gen6 you have to kill 50 ejecting pilots, and I still haven't even killed 1 lol

Wow, blue Cammy ?? Eh ?

Awesome to see Ryan Hart win though.
It is a little disappointing, but still interesting. Being a charge character is weird. I wonder if she likes cats like Cammy.

Started Titanfall on Friday and played for a little under 10 hours over the weekend. Got to level 48. I love it so far, but I've mostly played campaign. Won every campaign level and played a little bit of outside campaign. I've only seen 11 out of 15 maps so far. Feels weird almost getting gen 2 and not playing all maps yet. I played horribly outside of campaign game types though. I cannot wait for spring break next week.

Decapre, as stated before is the 5th character. Had to be Ono, Clone character from a shallow point of view, but just being a charge character gives it a 360 degree spin. Interesting it seems as how it will evolve in the competitive scene.

Now back on topic, in less than 24 hour we'll be getting our weekly deals. Gotta give credit to Dark Souls 2 for saving me the pain of waiting a whole week to be refreshing on the prie decreases. Any wish lists or predictions of what we might get ?

At least she looks pretty cool. I was hoping for one of the side characters from the Udon comics. I thought one of Ibuki's friends was the rumor.

She looks great but it just shows how lazy Capcom got on the game. The model is a copy/paste, so far normals too and that stomp attack seems to have been taken from Oni. Teleports from Dictator and Dhalsim's Yoga Catastrophe. Capcom not adding any true new characters, anyways as dissapointing as it is i'm looking forward to learn the game.

When I became gen 2 in Titanfall I had around 21 hours in playtime I think before, I hit 50 a fair amount of time before that but I got all the attachments and stuff for the achievement, which I won't do again unless I hit gen 10, now I'll only really focus on the guns I like (and the gen challenges), it is a great game though so far.

This. The entire DLC is copypaste from SFxT and now this. It just screams lazy. What a disappointment for a 5th character.

Should have been Asura instead of wasting the slot on a reskin, definitely would have been something to get hyped about. Would have boosted sales of both USFIV and Asura's Wrath. I don't know what they were thinking. Are they trying to sell the UDON comics or something?

1.39gb. Hmmm, about local co-op (it does have online co-op up to 4 players), I wonder if it's split-screen or in the same screen (my tv isn't big enough to play split-screen).

edit: fuck, it's split-screen.
Oh so it does have online? OK then I will download it. Thanks.

Ahh I quickly skimmed after moving up a generation and now I see what you're saying. Looks like I may not hit generation 10 but thankfully that's a 0 point achievement. I'll probably try to get as high a gen as I can then unlock everything for whenever I get stuck.

Do higher gens contribute anything to the gameplay or your character, or is it simply a status symbol/cheevo thingy. If its the later I wouldn't even care to go past 1 when I pick the game up.

Warface isn't terrible. Just bad servers and REALLY should've just been made for next gen. I dont see myself ever playing the full F2P version as it'll just seem pointless since I own an X1. Crytek missed a good opportunity here.

Everything that Warface does, a multitude of other games have done 5x if not 10x better and no amount of nex tgen treatment would help. Unless they somehow rework the left 4 dead esque garbage hit detection, dated visuals and shit framerate. What kind of game let of alone a fps in 2014 doesn't have some sort of spawn protection.

Maybe Crytek has missed an opportunity but i certainly have not. Lookin forward this game, if it's half the addictive of world of tanks i'll be happy.

More proof that Street Fighter IV is loooooooooooooong past it's expiration date. The community's reaction to the reveal last night was amazing though.
The game will at least last for another 1 or 2 years if not more if they do a good work with the rebalance which is almost impossible with so many characters, with the Capcom Pro Tour they are ensuring that. On the crowds reaction, well... once they saw a clone everyone just started to get up a leave the venue, really pissed off.

I finally started up Runner 2 and Guardians of Middle-earth.

Runner 2 is fantastic. I am loving the music and wish there was DLC to change it up. I would pay, no qualms about it. I only played enough to triple perfect+ the levels in the first world, and double perfect+ the first level of the 2nd world, so I don't know if it changes by world, but I started to yearn for a new musical spin on things when doing the perfect+ runs on easy to finish off World 1.

Guardians is well worth the dollar I spent. I'm not interested in squaring off against other gamers, but the few times I did were mostly lag-free for me. Only one game out of 8 had any issues and they eventually fixed themselves in that game. Fun stuff, but not revolutionary. Spawn times are punishing as the match progresses.

Like I said. I feel mostly that way cause I'm already on next gen. I rarely go back to 360. Whenever I get around to Dark Souls 2 and finishing my last achievements in South Park.

I can't make up my mind whether to pick up Giana sisters or not. The demo was pretty bland, but interesting enough to possibly justify $5. I guess I will just wait for tonight's line up. If I don't see anything better I will pick it up.

I'm excited that EA/PC is supporting PVZGW with free DLC just like BW did with ME3. I was considering trading it in since I hit level 50 and got all the achievements already plus Titanfall but I think I'll hold onto it. It's ridiculously fun and that video looks even crazier. I just hope the new abilities don't make any classes overpowered. Balance is the key.

Well to be fair, the only reason SFIV is being "supported" is because SFxT was a disaster. And rightfully so. Look at this shit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAJUelWRWBs

The Ultra DLC is pretty much just taking stuff exclusive to SFxT and adding it to SFIV so they can make an extra buck off it (because they didn't make enough off SFxT), basically saving the characters/their work from being only stuck in a dead game. The stages included are from SFxT as well. The fifth character was supposed to be the only "new" thing (and it was hyped to the moon and back) and well... yeah. They picked the clone of one of the least favourite characters, and the "doll" (it's from the canon) that took the least amount of effort to reskin. That's why everyone's flipping their shit.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about. Just imagine a world where L4D2 was a disaster, and Valve took all the maps/survivors from L4D2 and put them in L4D1 as DLC and charged $15 for it. Oh, and the DLC came with a "new" character that turned out to be Rochelle in a mask. That's pretty comparable.

I really like the Edition Select thing and the 2 Ultras system, but that's it. The ported characters are okay, I probably won't use them. Absolutely not worth $15, it's a desperate last minute cash-grab while the 360/PS3 gen is still relevant. Nobody's going to buy a version past this one, it'll be time for a new SF by that point.

Nothing like Monday night to help me foget about the snow outside... F5, F5, F5. :)

Of course, I have a carp ton of driving and OT this week, so the Xbox and my guitars will likely see very little of me for the week...

Soo any hope of anything being on sale this week on the one?

Is the Dead Rising 3 season pass worth it? yay or nay

Well to be fair, the only reason SFIV is being "supported" is because SFxT was a disaster. And rightfully so. Look at this shit.
SFxT isn't bad at all. It was just unbalanced at launch and Capcom didn't do much to fix it. They gave up on it right away instead of sticking with it. Luckily for fans, it is starting to make a comeback at fighting game tournaments thanks to the strong online community (not including PC version. That one is dead). I was actually surprised not to see it at Evo this year when SRK has a new video about it at least once a week. More surprising is that they kept Injustice.

Up until Killer Instinct, SFxT was the only fighter I played for about a year. Being able to team up with a friend makes it really fun. Thinking about what could have been if Capcom didn't give up on it, makes me cry on the inside.

SFxT was a great idea but they half assed on it for whatever reason

it should have been great seeing that its two of the top fighting game brands together on a 2D Fighting engine

but for some reason its like they saw it wasnt perfect then just let it go

smh it is a real shame cause it honestly should have been as huge as SF4

By "disaster" I mean mostly what Metal just said, and sales-wise/community-wise. It was half-assed, full of pay2win DLC, locked characters on-disc (including of all things, BLANKA). Wasn't a bad game necessarily.. aside from all the things that needed to be patched.

Capcom gave up on it precisely because it bombed in sales in comparison to SFIV, and honestly, the way it shipped, it deserved to bomb. They did eventually make a substantial patch (v2013), but it was too little too late. Should have done more, should have done it sooner.

The reason it was dropped is the same reason Injustice is still there. Money. What determines what's at EVO is either the size of the prize pool, or straight paying off of the staff. WB is known for hosting huge prize pools (MK9 and Injustice). Not to say that either title didn't deserve a year of play for being "new blood", but it's obvious the money had a lot to do with it and is what edged out the game as opposed to more niche titles that deserve the slot (Tekken Tag 2, for instance). Capcom would rather pay for a big prize pool for USFIV than pay for two pools for a game that doesn't give them sales any more (I mean they just gave it away on PS+). You can bet the big USFIV tourney at Evo will skyrocket USFIV sales for them.

As for WB, Injustice shouldn't have gotten a second year (even with the big patch they did) in the spotlight, but money talks. Microsoft is pulling a similar move with Killer Instinct, despite the complaints by the FGC (though most are whining because they hate the Xbone, that and the FGC whine about everything).

I actually really enjoyed Street Fighter X Tekken, but having to pay twenty dollars for the extra characters never sat well with me. I paid that much for the friggin' game! How do you justify charging the same price for a few more characters? If they had dropped the price to five dollars or even ten dollars, I could live with it, but TWENTY?! No way.

Well, they're 12 characters. But yeah, twenty is too much. Though I have them, and for that I was sure that they were on sale at some point, but xbldb didn't pick it up.... so I'm not so sure now T_T

After 5 years (?!!!) I just want to move on from Street Fighter 4 already. It's slow, has sluggish movements, floaty jumps, lenient inputs, stupidly easy and effective mashing reversals, crouch teching and waaaaaaaay too many invincible moves (back dash on wake up ugh). Don't get me wrong, SF4 is a decent game and Super SF4 and AE were much needed and appreciated updates, but those things I mentioned are fundamental flaws that have been around since day 1 and they aren't ever getting fixed.

And Ultra is adding in delayed wake ups, because defense isn't already too good in this game.

xTekken is just....ugh. I loved that game in it's early days and then ended up quitting it in a fit of rage. It wasn't the terrible throws, which were slow,. easily tech'd AND did pathetic damage. It wasn't the damage scaling or immense amount of health people get back for tagging out. When players started figuring the game out, doing damaging combos, which usually ended with a cinematic super move, took so long that matches were unwinnable when there was 30 seconds left in the round. It wasn't even that dumb autoguard/tech gem that people abused that blocks every attack and stops every throw for free. No, it was this.

I can't fight this. I don't even know what I'm looking at, nevermind see what attack is coming at me most of the time. I can't believe this was even put in the game.

Waiting for the new sales to kick in, hopefully Toe Jam and Earl is one of them.

Yes, while we observe Daylight Savings by changing our clocks, Universal Time Coordinate does no such thing (which is the clock the deals seem to operate on), so expect deals to drop an hour "later" than usual.

Customization was one of my favorite parts of SFxT, but some people made their characters look like the sun. They shouldn't have allowed bright blinding colors in ranked matches. That was something they could have fixed if they didn't give up on the game. The update they did put out at least made the game playable. Most of the problems listed in the post above me were fixed (much shorter animations, less heath regen from tagging, throws are great, and few other things), but there is still a balancing issue.
