  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Any game that gets 100$+ of DLC needs to die. Just my 2 cents. And the game would make sense as GwG, though I'd rather not have that since I already own it.

 
I ended up getting Creature Slaughterdome for Borderlands 2 and the weapon pack for Dishonored today as I had those as questionable purchases last week and figured ahh hell they're cheap.

I did too, but in already played the game and don't see going back. If I did, it'd be for the pirating, definitely not the assassins stuff. Worst story for an AC game yet.
 
Uh oh... looks like it's NBA 2k14 stuff on sale for gold members.  Not shocking considering the playoffs started Saturday.

 
Bad sales should always follow good sales in order to increase those last minute purchases when money is aching to be spent and the future looks bleak. In other words, time to take a third look at what's up now and buy something I won't play this year (already bought Gotham City Imposters - pretty fun; thanks for the impressions given earlier).

Assassin's Creed IV digital for $30 on the One would be nice. Very unlikely, seeing as they've been screwing us around on decent One sales while the 360 counterparts are dirt cheap.
 
Hey, remember how last week it looked like we were getting a lame sale with just Borderlands 2 stuff turning up for the 100th time and then it turned into a good one. Don't rush to a judgement but my wallet would likely be happy with a 2k14 sale

Yeah but those great sales are annually. Last year they had one of the better Games on Demand week long sales, the week of Easter. I highly don't anything else goes on sale tonight.

It was on sale for $20 this past August. Would take a bigger drop to even entice me. That's definitely a collection that is either worth skipping or maybe owning for the PS3, but it sounds like a total skip for the 360. I might gamble on it for $5-10 though.

 
OK so silly question time again:  What's the difference between Pinball FX and FX2?  Are the tables on sale only for FX?  Am I crazy or is this the same game as Zen Pinball 2 on PS3/4?

Waaaaaaayy late to the party dude, FX 2 is the game where all the Pinball goes to, FX is old and has a clunky engine. The FX 1 tables were importable to FX 2.

 
Really? NBA 2K14 again? They should perma-drop the price instead.

For those who want to try FX2 tables, my favourites are (and not in that order):

- Ms Splosion Man

- Star Wars Clone Wars (star wars pack 1)

- Excalibur

- Epic Quest (here you can fight ogres and vampires!!)

- World War Hulk (avengers pack)

- Agents (classic, but it's the only table I like on that pack)

- Mars (just because is very relaxing to play)

- F.C. Barcelona (the soccer themes tables are very fun and competitive to play)

I know I'm leaving some other good tables outside, but those are the first that came to mind.

Pinball FX was the original release you paid $10 for, and then bought DLC on top of that. FX2 is the sequel, which is free, but you have to buy tables for it. If you own FX1, you get the tables from it in FX2 (same tables as in the FX2 Classics DLC), as well as any FX1 DLC you happened to have bought.

FX2 is agreed to be much better, and with the fact that tables import into FX2 there's very little reason to play the original. So much so that the original is actually delisted.

The only reason I glitched the trial and bought it was for the extra achievements and tor the classic tables in FX2.

Just bought Doctor Strange and FC Barcelona..so now I have all the Tables (except for the other Teams) but even those without Achievements...I guess that's good I really like Pinball FX2 and I don't think they will all go on sale anytime soon again...

Yes and for some reason, probably due to it being published by MS Studios on the Xbox, it's called Pinball FX2 rather than Zen Pinball. But it's the exact same experience. The only difference is some obvious MS only tables like Ms. Splosion Man and the lack of features like crossplay, etc. Also some of the Zen Pinball packs, at least the Star Wars ones, are their own experience on other platforms and tie in to some sort of metagame where you choose either the Jedi or Sith side. Otherwise it's the exact same experience.

Ok, thanks. Didn't know that the Dr. Strange one don't have achievements. I own all the tables as well, and even played Dr. Strange, but didn't notice about that @_@

I have 31/100 (600/2200 GS). And don't plan to complete the game achievement wise (for now at least). I'd like to get some achievements for the tables I like though, and I'm working on it... slowly. Very slowly xDDD

- Ms Splosion Man

- Star Wars Clone Wars (star wars pack 1)

- Excalibur

- Epic Quest (here you can fight ogres and vampires!!)

- World War Hulk (avengers pack)

- Agents (classic, but it's the only table I like on that pack)

- Mars (just because is very relaxing to play)

- F.C. Barcelona (the soccer themes tables are very fun and competitive to play)

I know I'm leaving some other good tables outside, but those are the first that came to mind.

So I know it's late, but how much of the arkham city dlc is worth it? I've seen people say harley's revenge isn't worth it and I really don't care about skins. Basically, should I get the on demand game for 5 dollars and be done, or should I get the game of the year edition? Thanks.

Also, does the dlc have many achievements?

Well, I guess it's allright even without achievements =P

I'm at 51/100 and 860/2200 GS lol, some packs and tables are finished but some are just...hardcore lol and then there are some I haven't played much and didn't even go for an achievement yet lol

I'd almost buy the NBA game and a jewelry pack if you could rip your opponents earrings out.

Otherwise a lame sale, and another dig at us early One adopters with a Need for Speed: Rivals sale for 1/2 off on the 360, but nowhere is a sale to be seen on the One version. There's a reason why you're 2 million consoles behind Sony, Microsoft. But hey, it's cool, I'll just spend nothing until some actual non-launch/non-lame games come out for the One.

Rent the GOTY edition from GS and install the DLC. Then use it with the GoD version.

 
Seriously? There's a Spanish commentary DLC pack that costs money for NBA 2k14? I truly don't understand any of the DLC for these games. Why would I want to buy jewellery collections for a male oriented game? It just seems odd. I get that they give you improved stats and boosts but still, $20 (sales price) for jewellery!? WTF!?

 
Apparently I "bought" the trial version for Real Madrid, so I only bought the Arsenal table lol. Oh well, saved me a little money. 

EDIT: I just noticed NBA makes you pay for commentary?!?!? And people say EA is bad.

I'm really tempted to get the spanish language pack for 2k14. I don't speak spanish but I also can't want telemundo without laughing hysterically.
