  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Awesome! Thought we'd have to wait until E3 to pick those up for free.

I thought with the new GwG on X1, it would require a system update since they aren't "permanently" ours but on loan with Gold.
 
I genuinely feel upset by Batman getting pushed back. But I do want the best, final, experience.

I hope they announce the Collector's Edition soon or at E3.
 
Max stops at 99% on my X1, reading same issue on GAF as well but some people in the preview program are getting it to work. So looks like this wasn't supposed to drop till the update. Either way, congrats to those that can get them without owning a X1. You'll have a stack of games waiting for you when you get the system.

Edit: I just tweeted Major Nelson about the 99% issue.

Edit2: Which means it should work consider MN tweeted it... fall on my part.

Well just bought both games for the X1. Hope i dont get in trouble since my account is USA, but the page i get redirected to is Spain's, and i bought it from there. Hoping for the best so we can all have backlogs set for our grand grand childrens!! 

 
This is off topic but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere else:

In State of Decay (vanilla, not any of the DLCs), I moved houses yet only a few of my group showed up. The rest is still at the church. Any idea why this happened?

 
I Don't see how Crimson Dragon won't be an XBone GwG game being as the digital library on it is still lacking and that game ain't exactly (nor ever was) selling like gangbusters. That and TWO XBone GwG a month? Yeah, that barrel is going to run out quick.

 
i bought ssfiv digitally years ago and downloaded the AE character DLC. but because i had original ssfiv, i didnt get the free costumes. would there be any way for me to download the free games with gold version that comes with alternate costumes?

I think it's a likely candidate as well. But that's OK with me, since I don't have an XB1 yet. With Arkham Knight pushed to next year and barring an E3 shocker (Gears of War 1 remake?), it's unlikely I'll get one anytime soon. So the backlog begins for a system I don't own yet. Sadly, it's not the first time I've done that, but at least this time it's free.

In other news, Catan was delisted from the 360 marketplace.

I was hoping you were pulling some super late April Fool's day prank but alas you aren't. This game was honestly the sole reason I wanted to purchase a next gen console this year but now that hope is gone, unless Microsoft or Sony can convince me other wise in a week or so.

Couldn't download on my PC so I tried on my Windows Phone. Signed in, selected the link to purchase and a mini window pops up to confirm or cancel. As soon as I clicked to confirm, both boxes go grey. I can then close the mini window and go back to the game's main page. When I click on the box to buy on Xbox One, the page reloads. I don't think it worked :whistle2:(

I think the costumes were for pre-ordering Ultra (some costumes) or buying disc version (all costumes). AE disc didn't come with costumes, so games on demand version won't either.

Took me one try to sign in and it worked immediately. Was as simple as buying free games for the Xbox 360. I hope they continue to let people with Gold Subscriptions purchase the free games - it's a great strategy for them to convince people to go for the Xbox One rather than the PS4.

 
Worked immediately for me. I know one thing... This will make me purchase an XB1 much sooner than I had planned, knowing that I will have a small stockpile of free games when I get one.

 
Now with this free games for X1 without having one, only a Demons Souls remake and Project Beast turning out to be a Souls game (which i consider highly unlikely to be) will convince me to go for a PS4 rather than a X1 when i finally decide to upgrade. 

 
why not just get both? Maybe not at the same time but you know....later on. Just for a little diversity in your gaming.

I'm getting a PS4 sometime this summer. Whenever TLOU remastered comes out.

 
Yep both is the way to go, of course if you can handle it financially. Took me six months of saving to finally get my ps4. I do love looking at both next gen consoles sitting on each side of my tv.
 
Honestly, for me, a PS4 would be a waste. I've had 2 PS3s and I have only ever played 2 games all the way through - the 2 InFamous games. I never even finished any of the Uncharted games. The current PS3 I have (bought at Target when they had them on clearance for half off) has played 3 or 4 BR movies and that's it. I just always go to the 360 when I want to play a game... or watch a movie... or listen to music...

 
Titanfall looks okay, but nothing on Xbox One right now makes me excited to buy one (I'm keeping Batman on PS4). Maybe a new Serious Sam or Doom would change my mind. If it had some kind of built in DVR for TV viewing, that's a different story.

I noticed Invincible Tiger was only 200 MB so I decided to check it out. The game looks nice but I hated the controls. You have to hit LS+A at the same time in an exact place and it rarely worked for me. What a shame.

Back to downloading Dark Souls.

Man, I got so many damn games left to play on my 360, I can't imagine owning one next gen system right now, let alone two. There isn't anything really worth playing either imo. Titanfall and Infamous aren't enough to make me buy a system.

Once PS+ does Killzone and Knack for free with PS+ I'm all there. I'm glad to get free games with the X1, but I hope it doesn't end up just being indie/arcade games the first two years. I'd like a retail game thrown in here and there, even if that means the old NBA2k when the new NBA2k comes out.

Ah man I hate when games get delisted without warning (or a sale)...would have probably picked up the DLC had I known even though I passed when it was on sale. With the game sales cutting prices by 60-75 percent now instead of the former 33-50, I have a ton of bing built up...

 
I have an idea why the free Xbox One games won't finish downloading for some: they require a patch, which is currently available for people in the Xbox preview program, but not publicly available yet, (that I'm aware of). So, either the patch is going public very soon, or they put the games out to the public too early.

Yeah hmm interesting both games downloaded for me but I'm in the preview event.

I have to point out, even though Titanfall is the most popular game brought up, Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5 and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is where it's at for me with this new system. I also play a ton of Powerstar Golf but that's just a personal fav.
