  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

The xbox one games being free with a trial makes sense because technically you are renting them with your membership like ps plus unless I'm mistaken.

Any thoughts on when and how much the Banjo 1 and 2 pack will be?  I'm thinking 10 is probably to cheap, more likely 15 or 20 :(  Also I hope the Stop and Swap that they implimented into the 360 arcade titles works the same as with the bundle, don't see why not.  And hope these release this summer, I mean they are already on XBLA so how long could it take!

Also anyone suspect an additional big sale, July 4th or summer sale this year?

 
Well I pulled the trigger on Lego: LOTR.  It's been a little while since I bought a LEGO game and they are always enjoyable.  Glad I avoided the $20 disc copy in stores.

Almost bought the Bioshock Infinite Season Pass but that HAS to go on sale sometime, right??  :nottalking: 

 
So far I haven't had any complaints about gwg, free games are always awesome. Yeah some months I have the free game, but that has allowed me and my son to play together without having to "rent" from GameStop.
 
Started up Skype on Xbox One and had another 6 month Skype Premium trial waiting for me. Said that the deal ends June 30th. I already got 6 months free when I first got Xbox One. I don't mind getting another 6 months.

Weirdly enough, I could get the two games free but I kept getting installation errors so I haven't been able to play them.

Oh well, I just wanted to claim them for later dates when I do have a gold subscription.

There is nothing I'm playing that requires multiplayer at the moment.

I'm a pretty big Fable fan, so it was a day one purchase for me. It is an acquired taste, like EastX said, but the price is definitely right. Especially if you have kids (<8) and/or have a few people to play with you couch co-op. I played the heck out of it by myself and had a good time. It links up to Fable: The Journey, too with some small trinkets.

If anyone wants to boost for the 4 player achievement, my GT is ChubbyNinja1319. I need that and one other cheevo to 100% the game. I like to 100% the Fable games.

 
Finally got around to buying and installing Outlast.  Too bad it's too damn hot upstairs to be up there.  So I'm downstairs playing BF4 on the 360 :p

Hell nay. It's boring. BOOORING with dumb non thought out mechanics (you have three other A.I. "allies" if you don't have three other humans playing with you who take gold from you, which they can't spend and doesn't go in a shared pot and hearts as well). Plus there are better hack n'slash/beat em'ups, this sure as hell isn't one of them.

 
Bought Payday 2 on PC and I'll buy Xbox One version day 1 if it comes with Kinect support. The AI just stands there doing nothing. I'd love to be able to give them commands with voice or yell at hostages. "Get down on the ground!!!"

 
Guess I'll pass on Fable Heroes then.  Now to decide on 2 and 3.  Played about 80% of the way through 2 when it came out so not sure if I will ever go back to it.  3 seems like a no brainer at $5 except that I picked the disc copy up at about $3 a couple months back.  If it wasn't completely worthless for whatever reason I would probably switch to the digital.

Based on your response, I would say don't bite on either. If you finish 2, I'm not sure you'd want to touch 3 then since it's a bit of a downgrade. You'd best save your money unless you got expiring funds.

 
Wasn't there a DLC update to update Super Street Fighter 4 to SSF4: Arcade Edition? I can't find it now on xbox.com. I would prefer to download that instead of the full game since it's over 7GB.

Edit: I found it - it's not free. Damn, I thought the standalone game and the DLC update would both be free.

My guess is $15, which is 50% off both, I think.

By the way, buying the bundle should just grant you access to both items in your purchase history, right?

Skype Premium went free. Which is good because I got tired of not being able to screenshare for free.

100 minutes sounds like a lot but it's really not. Save it for emergencies I guess?

 
Damn, already have Battleblock and Gotham doesn't interest me. If you don't already have Battleblock Theatre it's a great score, love that game.

Well, the twisted bundle for example, you download the "bundle game" which is added to your purchase history, its basically a hub that allows you to download the other games, nothing more, so no the main games do not get added to your history.

I always tell myself I'll go back to Vanquish, but it's flaws outshone its strengths too much.

Play it on easy, otherwise it gets un-fun. Not difficult, just that everything is tied to one energy bar, and the wash rinse and repeat nature of the game makes it a chore to get through certain parts. After fighting the same enemy types on the same looking board for the umpteenth time repetition sets in, and the energy bar keeps you from unleashing what should be a very enjoyable mechanic.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to renew my XBL. I have a 3-month card and want Charlie Murder and Battleblock, and Street Fighter 4 AE if it was 600mb DLC and not 7.6GB standalone, but that's not enough for me to use it. Has it been confirmed that Gold trials get the GwG? I seem to recall at least one person saying they got them.

Trials won't work for 360 GwG but will for X1

I wonder if this will be some sort of 4th of July thing. Since it's from Rare and is an Xbox Exclusive*, maybe that's how it'll be promoted.

*I know, I know...they're on the Nintendo 64, but as a game available to purchase digitally in bundle format.

 
I'm counting on tonight's XBox sales to help me forgot about "Cena Feast" last night. Seriously, I'm not watching WWE again until they stop airing reruns.

Since it's July 4 weekend, can we expect a sale on Call of Duty or Toy Soldiers??      I wouldn't mind something like a DLC sale either.

 
Anybody play Sniper Elite 3 yet? Doesn't come out in the U.S. until tomorrow, but I know elsewhere it was released last week. I'm curious how co-op is. Everybody share ammo? Can you revive each other? If one person dies is it game over?

He certainly went all Super Cena and damn near sprinted up the ladder. Way to sell the match there, Johnny Boy.

I'd like to see a big sale happen tonight, but I'm certainly not holding my breath. I'm going to guess we get a crappy and/or confusing Deal of the Week and a mediocre Bethesda sale open for everyone.

 
Yea you would think with this whole gamestop treasure hunt thursday thing going on for another 2 weeks that they would give us good sells

I think mine (Sniper Elite III XB1 CE) is due to arrive Wednesday (or Thursday) - looking forward to trying it out this weekend!

Let's just be happy Rollins won and Reigns didn't. I would've lost my mind if Reigns would have won...in a bad way. I would go on a rampage.

The Rollins win though..very nice.

I think the Cena win kind of makes sense, even though we are all tired of him. It would have sucked to give Cesaro a run only to have him lose to...Brock "Part time player" Lesnar. I'm fine with Cena losing to him though. Maybe that will speed up the heel turn.

I just keep holding on for that day, when he finally turns heel. Its coming. I can feel it in my bones. Corporate "Face" Cena. Walks around backstage in a suit. Wrestles in trunks or just...something other than shorts.

Video games, Xbox sales...blah blah blah..blagarg...
