This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

I just tried to join that and it says this- Unfortunately, you can't join Xbox Live Rewards right now. It's strictly because of your age.

I'm 25! wtf?
I'm laughing at the wording of that last sentence. "It's strictly because of your age." LOL.

I know it's too early for tomorrow's deals to be revealed, but maybe, just maybe if we all wish really hard, Shadow Complex will show up for $5. In all seriousness when was the last time Shadow Complex went on sale? I've been eyeing it for 14 months and have not noticed a price reduction.

Shadow Complex on sale was the reason I joined Gold back in November 2010. Good times...

I've been waiting for so long, the game intrigues me so much but paying 15 bucks for an arcade game just won't happen.

Classic Metal Gear tactics.
Solid Snake didn't get to be the badass he's known for by running up and grabbing dude's in the junk or lining up for a headshot and then the dude suddenly starts moving and you miss the shot and you suddenly got guard's all up on your ass. He got to be a goddamn legend by crawling super slow, tranquilizing someone and waiting for someone to notice that sleeping body, tranquilizing that guy too and proceed to headshot them while they're down and then tossing their bodies in a barely well lit corner. Proceed for 20+ hours counting cut scenes and that is the legend of Solid Snake and every other Snake I play as.

Only difference is in Deus Ex I can also go murderous Kool Aid man style and punch through a wall and snap someone's neck and wait for people to check on the body...then more tranquilizer's followed by bullets in faces.

So would anyone recommend getting MGS 5 Ground Zeros? I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but I'm one of those people that (most of the time, if I can)  has to play a game from the start of the series in order to better understand what is going on in the story.

I'm hearing GTAV will be on one of the 5 games for tomorrow, most likely price: $29.99
I'd probably grab it for $20 thanks to the addition of funny money to my account from gamestop today, but I don't see myself paying more than that for it. Could happen this week, but I'd guess that I'll be waiting a few months for it to come down to my price.

I don't even know what would get me to loosen the death-grip I have on my xbl credit.  I'd like 1/2 off the Wolf Among Us season pass, but I'm skeptical since ep.5 just came out.  Maybe half off the other episodes?  I could go for that.   Burnout Paradise for $5 maybe?

Yes I would recommend to play the whole series from the start, if you can start from 8bit title on NES although it's optional, but by all mean play Metal Gear Solid on PS1 - the most amazing game. And the rest of games as it follows.

By chance, anyone here redeemed the GS treasure via QR code using their Kinect? I screen shot one from last time and used the Kinect 2 and when it opened IE on the Xbox One, I clicked Redeem but it didn't add to my account.

To play this series you're just going to accept the fact that you'll never understand what's going on.

Kojima has done a fairly god job of ensuring that no one can completely understand the full story line no matter where you start, but regardless, start at the beginning, or at least MGS1. They are all really great games. I'd also say play them in the order they were released, over chronological order, for your first time through. They're are plenty of tie-ins and story crossovers to enhance the experience.

Ok, bought Skyrim, although i'm not a Elder Scrolls fan. But yeah, gotta spend some of that gamestop credit.

btw These daily deals seems to get crappier with every new day.

TWAU season pass has been on sale before. That is why I got it. Might go on sale again. I'd be all over Burnout Paradise for $5. I really regret selling it many years ago. Picked it up again on PC in a Humble Bundle awhile back, but it isn't the same without Xbox friends.

So did the Xbone update just go live? Or did I miss one in the past week or so?
I think they've been rolling it out for the past few days.

I'm hoping to watch a video that explains everything by the time 5 comes out like I did for Kingdom Hearts (confusing story as well). I've been able to understand enough while playing the MGS games to really enjoy them. Great story in the middle of great gameplay and great graphics makes a great sandwich. Plus the bosses are really unique in all the games (haven't played 4). I really hope 4 comes to Xbox at some point. My experience with PS3 games have not been good.
I rented it once when I had a PS3 and was so excited to play it. Put it in and it has to install for over an hour. *Ok fine, MGS is worth the time* Then it has to download update and that takes over 30 minutes. *This is taking awhile, but as soon as is it finished I can play, just like when 360 games update* Then install the update it just downloaded for another 30+ minutes. *Ok, not like 360, but I'll be able to play soon* Now I can play. Just kidding another update to download. *f%!k this sh%$ 3 hours to set up a game WTF. Returning it now*

Tonight will have..2 good games on sale. I have no idea what they will be. But we will all be happy about it.

BTW PvZ:GW...so much fun. Its ridiculous.

Bought Sensible World of Soccer today, I really love sports games that are simple yet fun, so this was right up my alley. Took me a while to get the hang of the shooting mechanic, and I still don't fully know how to dribble, but I can see myself playing this with friends for a long time. Just wish they would have given you more control over the roster.. Would be amazing with 2013-14 rosters. Not sure why more sports games don't allow this, especially ones without licensed players.

I bought SWOS years ago, around when it first came out, and I still can't get a hang of dribbling.

This giveaway thing for Episode 1 of TWD Season 2 is random as hell.  I didn't receive it on my main account (which has the entire first season purchased, including 400 Days).  So, I checked my dummy account that I created a couple of years ago for a promotion on Raptr that required a non-Gold membership, and sure enough I had the message with a free code on there.

Apparently my gamertag that has never purchased anything but one arcade game trial, has never been Gold except for one free month, and has less than 250 gamerscore is considered "a valued member of Xbox Live."

So, if anybody has any extra accounts, make sure to check all of them.  I'm really not sure why they didn't just make it free for everybody this week.  Seems like it would increase sales of the Season Pass tenfold.

I wish I could erase all memories of playing Oblivion so that I could pick it up again. It was so epic and fun the first time around. My summer after high school was spent playing Oblivion and Halo 3.

Is the promo code for being a valued member of Xbox $75 Xbox One promo transferable?

If so, if anyone wants to pass that on I'll go and buy an Xbox One right now.  Otherwise I'm waiting.

I know it's off topic/frowned upon, but does anyone have a $5 code they could donate? I need just over $2 to grab PvZ:GW but I missed out on the Gamestop promo :(

I'd jump on Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare if that was the Xbox One version that was on sale. Nothing else interests me at all despite the prices being nice. I might go for the Banjo & Kazooie bundle as a compensatory use for the credit I've accrued.

Get a job or have some respect for yourself.

Seriously bud? That's the best you can come up with? I have a credit card attached but I wanted to use up the random amount of money I had from all this + reward points. Thanks though.

I'm 25! wtf?
Kids sure do lie a lot.

Just buy it at full price, all this time later it's still entirely worth it.

Games I hope go on sale this week.

Fable Anniversary

The wolf among us season pass
Well SoD was on sale on May and Fable Anniversary was part of the first day of sales.

Returning it now*
That was what I referred to as "Don't plan on playing any games tonight" updates... and one reason why I pretty much did nothing but watch blurays on the PS3.

It was Fable Trilogy that was on the first day of sales. I almost made the same post earlier.
