Its still 1200 pts on xbox.com for me.
I did buy the last map pack, and I do have a Gold account. I'll post pics if nobody believes me, but I'm kinda busy right now.
edit. I tried going to Game Marketplace (not using the ad) and it shows 1200 pts.
Also, I rarely played Black Ops. Last time I played was when Moon maps came out. I play Modern Warfare 3 a lot though.

Just to chime in I also have 50% off and when I click it says 600 points...however I already own this map pack so I wonder if microsoft would take my points if I clicked. And no I will not try...

The fact the sale is not even present for those with ad on xbox.com or the regular marketplace can only mean MS is trying some new form of target deals.

Unfortunately it looks like xbldb.com will not be able to track these. If they were showing up on xbox.com I thought I could scan the site while logged in or create a firefox/chrome plugin so when people visit xbos.com items like this could be captured.

Oh well, at least we still have forums but we'll need to keep a close eye on the dashboard.

I used to play Blops a lot, but I have no sale on my dashboard and searching it comes up at full price 1200 msp. The only map pack I own from blips was the moon one since I have the hardened edition

Its the 4th ad in the rotation. I checked every account on my system. 1 account just had an ad for MW3 in that spot. The others showed different Blops discounts.

Except that he didn't express an opinion. He made a rude statement at a Japanese developer, but has since realized how rude it was and apologized to him for it. An opinion would've been a bit more tactful than saying "X sucks" like he did, so there's no need to defend him when he's admitted that he was at fault.

You keep dragging it on and you're wrong, it IS his opinion. Is it a fact? No, it's his opinion. His rude statement is his opinion.

He's apologizing because it was wrong to express it in the manner he did; I mean come on, he was talking to a Japanese guy. That was extremely rude.

Can we get back on topic now? His game will still be amazing and a contender for arcade GOTY and that's all I care about: playing Fez. Not whether he apologizes or not.

It's 66% off on the dash for me. Too bad I don't have Blops nor want to give my money to Activision. And some analyst estimated that Blops dlc has generated over $250 million in revenue.

I'll save my msp for another deal that's for me

The guy certainly could have and should have expressed himself with more class, but in the end he isn't all that far off from Inafune's sentiments.

This is the third time he's ticked off a group of gamers though.

I would think the pop up screen would ask you if you wanted to buy it or download it again if it showed you already owned it.

I'm thinking it might have gone on sale on PSN before, but it hasn't on Xbox. I'm like you, I would own it if it had been on sale.

I still play it occasionally!

Personally it's my fav Castlevania game ever, the grinding for Items/Equipment has never been so fun, IMO. It's just tough at first because it's built on Co-Op and not a lot of people play it anymore. Castlevania fans will get into it quick though, should there be online games. And there usually is.

I doubt it has ... I remember I purchased it because I once received a 4000pt gift, and the giver required I spend it immediately, so they could see I valued their gift and wouldn't hoard the points. "Pigsy" was one of those purchases. :)

Also, a search of Major Nelson's website finds the word "Pigsy's" only in 1 comment, not in any mention of upcoming XBLA sales.

Thought I should mention another XBLA release that isn't on the list, and comes out Tuesday, with Shoot Many Robots. Defenders of Ardania. I think I read it will be 800msp, but I don't remember for sure.

It's a tower defense-RTS hybrid made by the people who made the Majesty games, and it's set in the Majesty universe.

OLD RULES (XBLA)
Base: 200 Gamerscore / Max of 20 Achievements
DLC: Up to 50 Gamerscore + 5 Achievements per Quarter (3 Max)
Total: Up to 350 Gamerscore / 35 Achievements

NEW RULES (XBLA)
Base: 400 Gamerscore / Max of 30 Achievements
DLC: Up to 100 Gamerscore + 8 Achievements per Quarter (4 Max)
Total: Up to 800 Gamerscore / 62 Achievements

I believe major nelson had it listed at 1200. I don't know what it is, but it does look interesting.
 
I like the increase just because developers can now become a bit more creative (or cruel) when it comes to thinking up chevos.
 
The increase would've been nice once the games stepped up in production value/scope around the time Summer of Arcade started. At this point, they might as well just wait until the next-gen to change those policies.
 
The arcade GamerScore increase sounds like a great idea. I'm often annoyed that some arcade games can take just as long or longer than retail titles (Sonic Adventure for instance) and yet they give you so much less GS.
 
I have to say that i'm kind of loving I Am Alive. I can see how the reviews are mixed though, the game can be incredibly unforgiving.

I appreciate a couple of the unique ideas they've brought to stuff like stamina, and the sort of combat avoidance AI. There's some genuinely innovative ideas in here IMHO.

I'm dying left and right and keep having to backtrack to get myself in a better situation to get past where i'm stuck. I can see someone hating this game, but it's working for me.
 
I wonder how the new policy will affect Windows Phone games.

I have played a lot of games to get the achievements, but I hit 100,000 GS last month, and now I'm just not as interested in achievements as before lol.

Pinball FX 2 is a "platform", similar to Family Game Night, the "rules" don't apply to these titles.
