Never was really interested in the indie scene, but what he said made perfect sense. I guess I'll know not to pick it up during a sale like I usually do (30+ xbox live games I have yet to play that I impulsively buy during sales) Besides, the dev is a colossal douche. If he couldn't find modern JRPGs that are good, then he is blind. I spend most of my gaming time playing modern JRPGs (Dark Souls, spent at least 50 hours on just MP). Currently 20 hours into Xenoblade.
I hope you realize that the review site is a joke. It's a bit. Not a good one, but a bit. It's more lazy, "hey, I'm pretending to be an asshole" humor. I really hope you aren't cherry picking their fake review instead of using real ones to make a decision.

If you really make your opinions based on people being douches you might want to look at the site's official twitter account before using them as a basis for anything. There you'll find such gems as, "@notch ALL of your customers think you're worthless not just 4chan. saying it jokingly doesn't excuse you from being lazy either. #fat #nerd" and "#0x10c fat greedy idiot announces new bad game. no details at all except how he expects you to feed him money."

Lots of people don't like JRPGs. It doesn't make them douches. If you don't like first-person shooters, are you therefor a douche too?

Would that you read my posts with the same assumptions you do for this.

Fez looks dull as hell. When I heard it didn't have enemies, I thought to myself "pass". I'm always down to play a puzzle platformer, but I like a little action mixed in too. A game that consists of jumping and rotating the world to collect little gems just sounds lame. Also, I'm suprised it got such good reviews with all the performance issues I've read about. I might grab it when it hits 400 MSP, but even then I am hesitant.

Eagerly awaiting Apple Jack 2 (for one tenth the cost).

Fez is really good so far, I'm 16 cubes in. It is glitchy as fuck on the transitions, reviews weren't lying about that. Also, I picked up a full cube and it told me it was my 16th and I could open a new door, then I picked up a cube shard right after that to fill up another full cube, and it said that was #16. So it's like I've collected my 16th cube twice. I really hope it's not some sort of weird glitch and I end up one cube short at the end. I won't be happy about that.

So far it's been much more of an exploration game than a puzzle game, which I have really enjoyed. And the map is absolute genius, I'm not sure why there's been so much hate on it.

You've probably seen pieces to a bunch of different puzzles without realizing it. You can finish the game just by platforming and collecting pieces for the most part. Do that, explore, uncover the map. I recommend that you get to New Game+ as soon as possible. You keep everything you've found and lose nothing. You do gain a couple of abilities. One helps you get around and the other is needed to solve some puzzles. By then you'll probably have learned a lot and can really get at them.

Well, i'm sure there a few people who just don't find it their cup of tea. Then again, it seems there are just as many who are taking up pitchforks because the developer made some idiotic comments. In which case I have a laundry list of athletes, actors and musicians you may want to add to your boycott.

Just beat it, will get into new game + tomorrow. Reason my cube count was off was because I didn't realize anti cubes count as cubes as well.

So with Fez, I'm still not sure what to do.
I have 32 cubes and 32 anti-cubes, but I haven't seen the true ending because I don't know if I want to finish yet and watch the true ending or get the 33rd anti-cube, which is just sitting there. And then I don't know what happens when you finish the game with 33 anti-cubes. I've heard it clears your save, or something like that? Scary.

I have no idea man. There is nothing on the dashboard except the LEGO sale, which is worldwide.

Once you get the games downloaded, will they play on a US Xbox?

will the games be in english?

wish i would have known about the 960 msp game on hungarian marketplace last week. i could have saved some msp when i finally decided to buy crysis.

also are these sale prices or normal?

the good thing about a hungarian account over a japan account is the hungarian account is mostly english

Don't just go buying Games on Demand from Hungary all willy-nilly. Someone needs to test whether the games are region-locked and whether users from other regions (i.e. your ISP is located in the USA instead of Hungary) can purchase them.

There are some Games on Demand from Hong Kong that anyone can buy and are definitely region free though... Namely Virtual On Force and Bullet Soul. You can get them both for $40 or so in international Marketplace Points. Much cheaper than buying the discs!

It all depends on the two factors I mentioned. It sounds like Crysis is probably region free and can be downloaded from anywhere, but just seeing the game in your local online store wouldn't be enough proof on its own.

One gets region warnings before buying incorrect-region GoD games (at least, I did a couple of years ago - haven't been buying them recently!). If you're trying to buy (for example) the region-locked Dead Space PAL on your NTSC-US 360, GoD will tell you that your 360 is not compatible before you can complete the transaction. If you're trying to buy something that is not available in your region, and you're worried that you might be able to buy it but not download it, then don't worry - again, you'll get a message before buying.

In that case, somebody needs to test all the games that seem like deals and report back on whether we can get 'em or not.

just added some msp to get resident evil 4 at 960 msp.
Not available from current location.
wonder how many other games it is with.

this happened on the xbox.
would i get the same result on the website.

just tried on resident evil code veronica x and hitman: blood money and both times it came up with
not available from current location.
this whole region lock thing when you can get the game from your region also is shit.

I'm from EU and so far was able to buy and download Split/Second, Deathsmiles, Bayonetta...Everything works wth my main gamertag. They will not charge you if the game will not work for you. The thing is - you don't know which game will works for your region before add some points.
So i don't recommend it for people that are looking just for one game.

well if they want one of the ones youbjustcmentioned....they could guinea pig the others to see if it goes through and not actually buy them.

Wish I knew about this before I imported Bullet Soul. Any way to get Deathsmiles IIX with msp from another region?

Deathsmiles IIX actually is on GOD so no importing is necessary. Although I am curious now what other shmups are on GOD for other regions.
